Does anybody know the actual requirements for the PGG seasonal?
Because clearly it ain't muscle cars vs. japanese cars, I've tried 5 of 'em in a row and the game wouldn't let me use any of them.

There is only ONE thing on earth I hate more than the rollover rate in this game and that is team flag rush. I'll probably never forgive PG for what they did to that mode. It was GOLD in FH3 as a free for all mini game. This capture the flag BS is abhorrent.
Forza junkie since FM2. Horizons are the break I need from the track.

FH4 and I have a volatile love/hate relationship 😑

Nice and easy trial, 3:0 for team and 3x 1st for my Lotus
First I did try a few different runs with different tires and then just went for sport, so trial car
B 700 Lotus Elan, tune - 170 153 851

Vive La France championship :), on dirt ... could take DS3, but decided meh, lets go for something older
B 700 Renault Clio Williams on rally tires, tune - 318 767 126
or new B 700 Renault Clio R.S. 200 EDC, tune - 184 222 309

Cross country championship with buggy ... I remember using something like that before for trial, so easy
B 700 VW Class 5 Baja bug, tune - 914 172 892

and so we came to Toyota themed road championship, what to take, since part is also on wet roads, first is very twisty circuit.
I did try Supra RZ on stock tires and its well OK-ish
B 700 Toyota Supra RZ, tune 152 768 772
or B 700 Toyota Hilux AT 38, road grip tune - 619 411 920

Forzathon car was VW Class 5 Baja bug (as it already completed 2/4 challenges in cross country championship, them made custom track blueprint at Castle Cross Country circuit, code - 912 381 005
You just take the first checkpoint and simply drive around start/finish barrier and drive trough to finish the race (drivatars are doing a bit wider loop :) )

PR stunts as always done with offroad tuned Agera RS for danger sign and speed trap, Hoonigan RS200 for speed zone

Have found these events straight-forward in the main. WIll list what cars I used but whether they help or not or a different matter...I am not the best driver and I just download tunes others put up:

The Trial: Found I had the 1973 Ford Capri RS3100 already tuned for that class so entered figuring it would be woefully slow compared to the Muscle cars etc....we won 3-0 and I won all 3 races with it so glad I chose it!!

The French Championship: I went with the 1984 Peugeot 205 T16...had this tuned for Mudkickers PGG from a few weeks back so wasn't sure but it managed it, though it slides a fair amount.

The Buggy cross-Country: As with El Barto above, I went with the Baja bug from a month or so back and won relatively comfortably

Toyota Championship: I initially tried the 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205...tried 2 different tunes which could be quick but found them to have way too much understeer for my liking so I struggled. Changed to the 1969 Toyota 2000GT and won all 3 events with relative ease.

As for the PR stunts, I used an X-Class FXX-E to do both an the speed zone done with the Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15R Rally Car tuned to S1 900....took a couple of attempts to work out the best way through it

All I have left is the Playground Games (hate these things and can never work out the best car...will probably go with the Mitsu Evo for it's handling) and I will have completed a Series to 100% completion (taking the Dailies into account) for the first time

What’s with all the B class events this week? All four championships, including the trial, are B. Was fairly similar last week as well I think?

If anyone is after a stable tune for the Lotus Elan then my tune should be good for you.

I have created it with grip and stability in mind as well as keeping speed and acceleration.

It has come first a majority of the time in the Trial and usually with a decent margin between 1st and 2nd.

The cornering on it is far more stable than other tunes which forgive handling in favour of an increased speed (which is ok for Rivals but not for MP races where you don't wish to slide out on corners).

Share code is - 700 478 218

Hope you all enjoy this weeks Trial :)

Hi all,

Cars/tunes/suggestions for this weeks seasonal online events and PR stunts, for those that find such useful. All tunes are my own, all shared. ~ tune name / share code. If you use anything offered here, and you like it/it was useful to you, please don't forget to leave a like.

Online:

A.I. behavior - online (for me) seemed faster than offline/solo. Street Scene, so added complication of oncoming traffic, A.I. do 'see' them in advance, and will respond in advance, it can help if you notice in time. Nothing beats a trial with cheaty A.I., the unknown nature of your team mates, network lag, and having oncoming traffic flung at you if you are extra unlucky.

**Trial: "Drive on the Wild Side" | Street Scene | (B700) 1970s
**Car used: 1977 Holden Torana A9X (Autoshow 130,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 Rally SC / 937 724 812

Using this as knew it could beat unbeatable street scene A.I., tested, will do so in solo - note as is street scene, testing is very much B class 'anything goes', with weather/conditions as system determined, no way to match to trial. The trial, scored points for the team in all races, we had it on the second race, once the third as well - I was flipped off the track early in the second race by the A.I. 'force', and really flipped, my rear wheels left the ground by a good (in game) two metres, front wheels still on the ground, and off we go, returned from 12th to 3rd, so tune is capable. Last race was a disaster for me, seemed A.I. lost ability to track oncoming, managed to fling traffic into me (broadside into me, so unavoidable t-bone) twice, still managed 12th (twice) to 7th. tune is AWD with rally tires, supercharged, no aero. If you want to go even more 70's, I have a paint scheme (is colour only, not livery), best match I could manage to actual colour from Holden at the time, uncertain if was ever on this model Torana, but was on earlier models, yes it is very pink - 'Strike me Pink' (998 676 847).

**Seasonal Playground Games | Mortimer Gardens | (A800) Horizon Special: Muscle vs Tuner
**Car used: 1970 Datsun 510 (Autoshow 25,000 Cr)
**Tune: A800 Games Mort / 110 229 963

Capable, fast, easy enough to control on the grass/in water, can match the Nova which seems to be the popular choice. AWD, Forza rear air, rally tires, engine swap for 2.6L inline 6 twin turbo.

PR Stunts:
- Rolling Fields Speed Zone, 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 - 'S900 Rally Trial' (680 307 281) - approach in the field on the east side of the motorway.,
- Greendale Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544) - run from the south traveling north,
- Swan Dive Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544) - start on the closest sealed road, run in a straight line across the field, cross-fingers, hit gravel road straight onto ramp, while straight, don't hit rocks on landing, success!

Enjoy.

I've seen people mentioning they had trouble with the Buggies championship. Well, I ran it on a stock RWD Cholla, because I'm a deviant, and didn't experience much difficulty. The greatest challenge is in the Arthur's Seat track, because the cobble fences will slow you down greatly. Buggies in FH4 are even worse than in FH3, because you're often punished for being first place (obstacles slow you down, a makeshift rubberband in addition to the regular one) and the AI does not experience the same handicap. So I build a sizeable lead during the race and finish barely ahead of the other buggies because the obstacles force me down to their slower pace. Obviously, this isn't good gameplay at all.

Of course, anyone attempting to use the Miata, that is, the Exocet, should be scolded for even trying, because it's the worst Buggy in the game for anything CC and doesn't seem to stand out on Dirt routes either. I'm not even sure whether you can use it, but, if it's available, just ignore it and run any of the other, vastly superior options.

When it comes to the cars themselves, at least Playground made an extra effort to make unique sounds for them by remixing (NOT reusing) old ones, but seriously, the fact the auxiliary lights on the 205 are built into the Race front bumper and the Pulsar lacks any customization parts other than the basic ones is a big no in my book. Auxiliary lights should be Street level by default, because Street parts don't seem to add any downforce. Make no mistake, this week's two cars are really great, with excellent physics and adequate sound quality, but, as is often the case with Microsoft stuff, they make a delicious cake and put a sour cherry on top, which is disappointing.

I used my own tune with a C 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T and the V8 worked fine.

Thank you for the advice....I did the event in the Datsun 710 with the tune listed by @WangkeRui Found it to be an excellent tune as it is highly maneouvreable....for the 3rd week in a row didn't even need to do all the events in PGG: First round we won...was 6-6 with the coundown getting near 10 seconds when I managed to sneak in and score the winning flag...the opposing team then had one person drop out and, during the King event, all of them dropped out at some point so we won the Championship by default.

I'd like to take a moment to thank my team in the trial (except 1) for dropping out and allowing me to win. I took 1st place in all three races but no one on my team even managed to finish the first race. All but one of them dropped out in the second which was enough for me to take it on my first try. Before anyone says that I should've blocked the drivatars to let them catch up, I've done that several times in the past and one of the ungrateful fools inevitably rams me out of first place so they're on their own.

For reference I used the 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455. It was a bit greasy but it got the job done.

Wow I mean your teammates must have been seriously bad to struggle with this week's trial.

And I'm with you on not bothering blocking the drivatars, very few realise what you're doing and anyway it's supposed to be a team mode, not 1 player carrying a bunch of inept others.

For this weeks Trial, I used
1973 Nissan Skyline H/T 2000GT-R
I had made a Tune for it at some point and called it Trial BClass
Share Code is 145 918 837

First Race I went to 3rd place, immediately, by 20% three people had dropped, and I was up to first. By the end of the race everyone dropped but me.
Second Race I went to 2nd, passed the BJ Branco, and was home free
Third race I was 4th for a while, until about 50% when I was in second, then about 60% was in First and Won that too.

Give it a Try, Its quick off the line, easy to handle. If anyone does, please let me know how you like it.

I wish I could share screenshots from Xbox to here, I'm sure there is a way, but you think I can find the link? Nope

For the French Races this week, I used the Stock 2010 Megane R.S. 250 - I mean with a PI of 666, why not.

I bought a new one and it still doesnt complete for me?
This "Win a Cross Country Series event at the Castle Cross Country Circuit in your Buggy"
I have no idea what i am doing wrong..

"Must be done in sequence to count, all completed within the season to earn completion.
Note: the Forza Edition will probably not count for this challenge.
Own and drive any Buggy
Rack up 10 Air Skills in your Buggy
Win a Cross Country Series event at the Castle Cross Country Circuit in your Buggy
"Test out the all-terrain capability of your Buggy and drive it for a total of 10 miles through the open"
SO If I did the "10 miles through the open" it now doesnt count for the race anymore?
Does it need to be higher than Pro level drivatars?

I was a bit apprehensive about the buggy championship, because everybody usually complains that it's bugged (heh) and the AI runs away with them. And the last time I tried one, I struggled with it. So I actually knocked the AI down to 'Highly Skilled', and it was no trouble at all. I won all 3 races. Maybe on 'Expert' or higher it's worse. But honestly, I'm not above coming down a level if that's what it takes. I'll do it for Street races too if I have to. But for everything else, I need to de-rust.

Maybe the problem is not that the AI is bugged and OP, but that buggies need a bit of a paradigm shift in how to handle them when you're accustomed to driving all the other cars in the game. They bounce around a lot, they get knocked around easily, sometimes unpredictably, they don't spend a lot of time on the ground where you can have some influence over their direction or momentum. Some of them have a smaller wheelbase than we're used to. You almost have to relearn how to drive them in-game.

Or, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, and would get trounced if I put the difficulty back up to my usual levels.

**Trial: "Drive on the Wild Side" | Street Scene | (B700) 1970s
**Car used: 1977 Holden Torana A9X (Autoshow 130,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 Rally SC / 937 724 812

Using this as knew it could beat unbeatable street scene A.I., tested, will do so in solo ... Tune is AWD with rally tires, supercharged, no aero.
If you want to go even more 70's, .. yes it is very pink - 'Strike me Pink' (998 676 847).

PR Stunts:
- Rolling Fields Speed Zone, 1978 Hoonigan Ford Escort RS1800 - 'S900 Rally Trial' (680 307 281) ....,
- Greendale Speed Trap, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544) ...,
- Swan Dive Danger Sign, 2019 Rimac Concept Two - 'PR Stunt Rally' (120 633 544)...

Solo championships - Raced against Expert, Steering: Simulation, ABS: on, Traction/Stability; Off, Gearbox: Auto.

**Championship: "The Car in Front" | Road Racing | (B700) Manufacturer: Toyota
**Car used: 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT Apex (HTF)
**Tune: B700 Sport / 182 583 724

Lets first talk about the race requirements, B class, Toyota - there is nine cars total for Toyota in Forza 4, one of these is out as A class, so we have eight, of the eight, 5 are 'hard to find' exclusives, leaving only three choices if you don't have them, two of those three are offroad... so one choice? Good job looking after the new players developers! I used the Trueno, yes it is HTF, apologies to those that don't have it, as makes a quite capable sprinter. I was concerned about the Ambleside course, yet was no real issue (expert), leading by end of second lap (this is me, I am sure others could do better). Competitive car/tune, A.I. will offer a challenge. Tune is RWD, nil aero, sport tires, race suspension.

**Championship: "Star Dew Rallye" | Dirt Racing | (B700) Country: France
**Car used: 1980 Renault 5 Turbo (Autoshow 120,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 Rally Star / 933 218 659

Better luck here for newer players (France also has many HTF in Forza 4), 23 choices from France, 10 are out due to class (although a few of those could maybe back into B - I am calling them out of choice here), leaves 13, 7 are 'hard to find', so you can have a choice of 6, better than the Toyota championship, yet still more than half the choices are not choices for everyone. I used one of the Autoshow non HTF choices - Reno 5, as it is a great car for rally. Unlike Toyota above, this one will be a really easy win with this car/tune (expert), mistakes aside. Tune is AWD, rally tires, with Forza rear air, yes this is the same tune from trial a few weeks back, but if it isn't broken, why fix it?

**Championship: "Sugar, Oh Buggy Buggy" | Cross Country | (B700) Offroad Buggies
**Car used: 1969 VW Class 5/1600 Baja Bug (Autoshow 60,000 Cr)
**Tune: B700 CC Offroad / 775 102 937

Yeah.. buggy buggies. Best of luck! Tune/car is capable (expert), player skill level, and A.I behavior/misbehavior will be a factor. Tune is not a difficult driver (certainly not the beast an A class version of this bug can be), however may need practices depending on what you like and how you drive. Tune is AWD, with turbo.

Have fun.
