Dirt trial - everyone going bonkers. We got the 2nd try somehow. Wall bouncing, hitting each other, it was absurd. Before you start wall bouncing see how people are doing. It's really rude you don't know where or who you will run into.

Tuned 1986 Hoonigan Ford RS200 Evolution for the Trial and tuned 2011 Audi RS 3 Sportback for the PGG. PGG as usual. Everyone on the other team quit after their first loss.

I guess its gonna be S2 dirt if people are using the Hoonigan RS
Forza junkie since FM2. Horizons are the break I need from the track.

FH4 and I have a volatile love/hate relationship 😑

The trial was S1 Rally Monsters. Good luck. It isn't hard but they made it hard. They also whipped the AI into a frenzy,

Trial was a bit of a mess, divatars crashing into everything/everybody and only managed 1st and 2x 2nd (couldn't catch crazy fast drivatar in Hoonigan Escort).
All in all a win on first try, with Hoonigan RS200, tune 545 011 302
A class vans&utils, I again used my trusty El Camino, with just a bit different setup then for dirt - 155 783 460
As A class modern sports car, I used Eagle Speedster, tune 173 077 797
A class retro super car, was recycle of a trial a few weeks ago - Lambo Jarama with DJS tune.
Maybe it should have dirt tune, but even tuned for street, it did the trick.

Stunts as every week done with Agera RS and Lego Senna.

Now back to waiting for Napier-Railton ... :)

Should it really be 25 Ultimate Speed skills? That's over 200mph which seems a bit ridiculous for a hot hatch.

Acura RSX, max tuned, 350kph max speed.
Challenge done in 2 passes on freeway.

Easiest speed zone to 3 star - Forest green (even grip tuned C class can do it)

It's easy, you can do most of them on the Goliath. I prefer to play the Goliath to get some influence at the same time.

Need to max out upgrades and tune for speed... .. I did it in the Clio Williams...

That Speedtail is horrendous on S2 998....handling like an S900 car and the brakes are abysmal.
Can't reach 998 as RWD and the AWD conversion costs a lot. Feels like an AWD rocket ship. Why does this car need engine upgrades? Give it at least one bonus tire tier and adjustable rear-aero.
From a performance perspective another waste just like most of the recent modern Super/Hypercar additions.

Suddenly this week NO ONE has a 900 rally monster for some reason and no one is capable of anything that resembles "good" driving. 3 teams of idiots so far, going to have to try again tonight.

Obviously, he's pointing out the fact that having us make retro hot hatches go over 200 mph is kind of moronic.

Not in the 1984 Civic CRX Mugen! That thing is an absolute beast and cheap as chips in the AH on occasion. Max it out to S2 and it'll hit 240mph and handles great as a bonus!

Two so far me and two disconnections as the first race has started.

Three times now and twice I've had to quit on the first race whilst being the team lead as everyone was at the back! Flogging a dead horse springs to mind......again!

I've given up the Trial for today due to the amount of disconnections I have been getting, which normally only happens once a week or so.

Must have had 5 or 6 tonight. Better luck tomorrow hopefully.

+1 that's what I used, got the speed skills in no time.

And as for the Speedtail, not good, I'll get rid as soon as it's able to be sold on the auction house.

So far, all I have done is the Weekly Challenge, but I figured I'd go ahead and share my experience.

Weekly Challenge:

* Own and drive any Retro Hot Hatch
* Earn 25 Ultimate Speed Skills with a Retro Hot Hatch car
For these two, I built myself an '18 Scirocco up to an S2 build (Tune: Ghibli - 414 376 346) and took it to my little test strip (M68 Test Strip - 121 822 016). I've shared this track before as a cheeky way to get speed (go right towards the first checkpoint, ignore the AI, then just take the expressway to the north roundabout and come back. Easy.). I didn't get all 25 in one race, but I got a good chunk of them.

* Win 3 Street Scene events with a Retro Hot Hatch car
This one... I swapped out my squirrelly beast of a Scirocco for a bone-stock '94 Prelude SI. You might be able to beat the S2 supercars with your Hot Hatch, but dropping all the way down to D class makes it much easier.

* Earn 3 stars in total from Speed Zones with a Retro Hot Hatch car
Back to the Scirocco for this one. Just find a speed zone and let it rip. Didn't get 3 stars straight off? Just loop back and do it again since you probably got 2 the first time.

Yeah... my tunes have been a bit off since ForzaTuner's latest update. They added redline RPM and torque RPM as needed stats to tune, and I'm still trying to figure out how to read the torque chart. Therefore, this Scirocco is twitchy enough (and has the rear end breaks away WAY too easy) to be considered a Rabbit.

Got Trial won at first attempt, but it was somehow weird. I was using Ford RS200 for curiosity (Not Hoonigan RS200). Did mistake in first race by trying to take Drivatar too close inside it force fielded me in a tree. Recovered to bring in some points but thanks for fastest players who secured win on that race.

On second one I spun, recovered but we lost that one. Last one we won, got on first place and slowed down leading Drivatar what I dared and we got all podiums.

My gut feeling is that acceleration over speed, mechanical grip and overall stability might be key to this. There are quite a few mid to slow speed curves where downforce necessarily isn't that effective.

Still, weird. We had couple of players with Peugeot 205 FE's who didn't do that well, but we also had fast and good players. Very clean, good lines, yet on second race it looked like we all had moments with unpredictable grip.

Not sharing a tune I used. It wasn't that great on first race and terrible on second.

Not sure what the issue is with this week's Trial but it sure is getting on my nerves. I don't know if its the Speedtail being available that brought all the idiots out or what but it shouldn't be this hard. In all my races only one other person has had a car properly tuned to S1 900. Everyone else is using stock cars with bad setups. We had S1 Rallymonsters I think 2 weeks ago, even used the same first track. I don't remember having these issues then.

And to make things even better, we started the first event with only 5 people, then on the next event, we had a 6th person who was in an S2 1998 VW Golf, who proceeded to crash on the first turn. Once again had to quit the event during the 2nd race as there was no chance in hell of the team winning. At this point, I could've done the boring delivery story quicker to get to 50%.
