Can I suggest that in the rivals mode, after you've finished a race and got your credits etc. that the game puts you back to the rivals select screen for that track, rather than dumping you back to free roam? I seem to remember Forza Motorsport 7 did this (could be wrong).

At the moment, if you want to re-run the same track in a different car or with a different tune for example, or if you simply want to look at the leaderboard to see where you are now, you have to go right back to square one first, with the additional loading times and clicks.

I agree that this would be really nice. Another thing abaout rivals is that when you choose somebody as your rival it would stay same if you dont beat that time, i many times choose one of the best times and it's annoying when dont beat that time it's give you new rival that is closest to my time when i would drive against that same ghost.

These are some features that I thought about and would like for you guys to think about.
• Let us use special colors to make vinyls and decals
• Put nitrous in the game
• Goodyear Eagle tires on more cars
• Paint brake calipers
• I know this may not be possible, but let us have the option to have our vehicles either left hand drive or right hand drive instead of having a mix of both.

I hope they fix this asap. Allow people to share liveries made out of other's stickers.

Lots of awesome liveries aren't shareable because of logos and sponsors, this is a much bigger damage to the community than livery theft.

And please fix the metal flake paint.
The base colour is so flat, forcing users to choose it almost black to make a nice paint. Factory paints have different smoothness levels of the flake paint, so it would be nice to adjust it in a custom paint.

Then it would be cool to be able to choose paints that are available for all cars owned. Like painting a Honda in the tint available for a Ferrari you own.

Please separate the influence reward from other notifications in the notifications options
Some HUD infos are important such as minimap, objectives, waypoints and PR stunts notifications.(radio songs to some extent)
The rest can be disregarded and should be available to be turned off.
I don't know how it escaped the data metrics, but when you have the HUD area set centered the notifications will splash in the middle of your screen effectively blocking the view of the road and what's ahead of you.
Forza Concerns: economy, gameplay mechanism, car list,PI-System,limited physics, unserious arcadish driving system, plain and empty map

For the collector gentleman:

- Filter cars by "NEW" in the Garage.

- Add more car "groups", like we have Favorites now. If not custom created by each user, then at least something like "Road", "Drag", "Drift", "Dirt", "CCountry". I don't always remember what tune I put on every car and sometimes I don't know what to choose in the xx seconds when starting an online event.
Would be great if you could quickly filter your cars for, let's say, A class and Dirt (assuming you put your cars in the Dirt category)
This way, you can have 2 of the same car and quickly find the one the you need for Dirt or Road.

Hello there.

This is probably my first post here, I remember writing something in this forum, but I think it was a reply to someone, and it was years ago. Anyways, I just wanted to say that I have started playing this game a couple weeks ago, and it amuses me how they found "space" in the game to add these emoji stuff, and the clothing too, and didn't gave any attention to something that could actually make the game a bit more real, or just funnier.

Back in 2006, Atari released Test Drive Unlimited. It was a race simulator game, we didn't had the graphics back then, but we had the option to customize our cars in a way that I never saw in Forza Horizon, at least not exactly as I am about to say. Wouldn't it be awesome if Microsoft added different wheels when we're buying our cars? I'm talking about manufacturers' wheels. As an example, we have the 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia, that was a playable car in TDU too, we couldn't paint the wheels in that game, but in the Ferrari dealership we had different wheel options. The 2009 Ferrari 458 Italia could also have a different, and original, set of wheels in TDU 2, released in 2011. Also, wouldn't it be great if we could use the wheels from a specific manufacturer in any of it's cars? Like using the 458 Italia's wheels on the 488 GTB, and vice versa? Or, the option to see the specific name of the colors, like Rosso Corsa from Ferrari, or Grigio Telesto from Lamborghini, or even Yas Marina Blue from BMW when we're painting our cars with manufacturer's original colors? Or maybe even give us the option to change the colors inside the cars, come on, even GTA V did that to some of it's latest vehicles, it's great for those, like me, who likes to drive around using the camera inside the car. It was really cool to customize the Aston Martins also.

I could also say that in TDU and TDU 2 we had a button to open up a menu, and this menu allowed us to do one of the following: turn on the turning lights, left or right (not very usable on Forza, since TDU had a huge map and it actually made you feel like you were hitting the road); get our windows down, or back up, so we could hear the engine sound better; and, lastly, something that I really wanted to see, not only in Forzavista, but actually in game: the ability to open or close the roof in convertible cars, like the BMW Z4, or the SLK 55 AMG.

TDU also had customizable house interiors and furniture (and we could also buy a Yacht to store 10 cars), but that's not really necessary, I'm just mentioning this because now we have to buy castles and houses, but we don't actually see much of'em. We could visit other players, and even ride with them as a passenger, something that I probably wouldn't add in a game, but worth mentioning. About players, I almost forgot, we could do,literally, plastic surgeries, to change our appearence, and they cost in game money. Funny thing is that after them it was possible to see our character walking around with bandages. Okay, now this has gone too far.

Two things that I almost forgot: Can they actually make the cars' medias to work? The ones that have it at least? In the TDUs they were just showing the map, but at least they were showing something. And the cars' odometers, they reset everytime we do something apart from driving. Yes, we can see how much distance we have driven in a specific vehicle in it's history, but imagine buying a brand new car from the autoshow, and keeping up with how much you drove it only by looking at it's dashboard? Or buying it from the Auction House, and see how many kilometers, or miles, why not, the previous owner drove it?

The point is, one of this things is already in the game, but... https://forums.forzamoto...e-tops-in-Horizon-4.aspx

My best regards to whoever reads this!

I had a great time with TDU2. One of my dream games would be a combination of TDU and Forza Horizon. Keep the giant world maps, interactive environment and customization from TDU, and bring in the car roster and driving physics from Forza, and come up with a new progression system that's not super grindy like TDU or locks away vehicles behind time gates like FH does.

I loved driving around Oahu in TDU. It was disappointing to actually go there and find out that you couldn't circle the island in real life. I have no idea whey they brought poker into the 2nd one though.

This game desperately needs more cosmetic customization. It's one of the best racing games besides that one issue.

And not just body kits, at least different options for hoods, spoilers, tailights/headlights, etc. I hate to compare but there are other games that offer this along with a myriad of other options but just aren't as fun to play. It would be great if Forza finally included this...It's been something that's been asked for for years.

I really liked TDU and TDU 2 was IMO even better.

I agree about convertible option. We don't really know that much how aero in FH4 works, but forum goer Talby had an idea about having it as bodykit option, so possible aero effects influence to car PI could be easily included. I came later to think about roof panels and effects to body roll, all that could work out with bodykit. We don't have that in FH4 but while TDU had visuals but I don't recall roof options having influence to driving physics / performance.

Player houses and clothes and stuff, I didn't really liked that aspect of TDU's. I understood where they were aiming but for me it was sort of uncanny valley. Houses had function with their garages but frankly I like Horizon's approach where I don't need to play do I have enough houses to buy this or that car better, houses in FH4 enabling something else. In F4 the whole garage management before we could sell cars right from the wheelspins was really annoying and universally despised "minigame" already.

TDU's had car wrecks, Horizon has Barn Finds... story aspects, I think TDU games had better pace than FH4 but maybe FH4 should have taken something from FH3's book, upgrading festivals sites and all that. Overall Horizon's including FH4 are perhaps more everyone's games but FH4 just doesn't know how to sell its strengths.

I don't want to trash TDU games, I played the heck out of them back in the day, but perhaps Horizon should figure out how to make things more Horizon, more about what can be done with Festival in story line selling game to it's audience. That said, I really hope we will see TDU 3 someday.

I havent played either of those games but the customization sounds very nice. I wish we had a button that would take us straight to the online adventure menu. So I dont have to pause, tab over, click the button, then click which adventure to play. A button that would take me straight there, would save a ton of time....over time
Forza junkie since FM2. Horizons are the break I need from the track. 🏁🏁

FH4 and I have a volatile love/hate relationship 😑

Hopefully FH5 will treat me better 😬😬

Dude, I can't even begin to remember how much time me and my son spent cruising around the big island! And true, there are a ton of features I wish we could incorporate into Horizon games. Driver Licenses for each class of car is one.

As for the Casino addition, it's just like some the changes made to the multiplayer here on FH4. The community asked for it and the developers provided.

I still have TDU2 in my 360 console and played it a couple of weeks ago. PG talks about how they incorporated roads vertically in Fortune Island expansion but until you drive the mountains of TDU/TDU2 you really don't see a vertical crest and how much you have to slow down to not crash on the other side.

Really think PG and Turn10 would benefit a lot from spending some time on those games!

This is something I have been wondering. Drivers licence goes bit against the Festival setup, but perhaps tasks to help with the learning curve. So soon after player arrives there would be messages, something like: Keira has this special series arranged for some vintage enthusiastic club. You are expected to show up, so get to Ambleside Village Circuit at some point. Then there were been 3 event championship of races with upper mid to upper D - C class of cars. Village Circuit, Ambleside Ascent and Festival Circuit. Events like that to familiarise players with routes and physics in disguise of goals, before getting back behind the wheel of that S2 Lambo and driving it to wall in next Trial, in rain.

Mate, you're saying about making the infontainment system working, while devs still didn't come up with an idea to make the clocks work in cars...
They're definitely doing a great job with the huge monthly updates - a lot has been changed since the initial release of the game, but they're also leaving some aspects of the game unchanged since early Forza Motorsport games. I'll take an example from Test Drive Unlimited as well. While you were behind the wheel, you could look at all of the interior, while in Forza your neck isn't just locked into horizontal movement, but after looking slightly to the left or right it just locks up at the window. So instead of having nearly 360 degrees of horizontal view and also an ability to look through your sunroof or for some pennies on the floor, you've got like 120 degrees of horizontal view + 3 locked views (left, right, back). And you also can't even look at your whole car when you're using the outside view, because the focus is usually at the back of the car, so if you wanna take a look at the front, you have to open the camera.

I spent a lot of time in both TDU and TDU2. Some of the most memorable multiplayer I've ever done was in TDU2. TDU2 actually had a real chat system with keyboard. I also remember winning a C8 Spyker playing poker in TDU2, a car I really wish was in FH4.

I loved TDU. It was not a perfect game... Sometimes it wasn't even good. But it kept me going during hard times and it was very fun to play.

When reviewing TDU we need to put into perspective that it came five years before Forza Horizon and was made by a studio with a much smaller budget. How they got both Ferrari and Lamborghini on boat, I don't know, but they had to sacrifice BMW and Porsche... I'm sure EA set an unsurmountable price for the sublicense. In the end, TDU got Ruf as DLC so it was all good (Rufs are better!).

It definitely had some bad points. The sounds were horrible (all this outrage for a bad sounding Skyline GT-R tells me people didn't play much beyond Forza), the support from Atari was dismal and the 3D models' quality ranged from "ok" to "horrible". But the driving, the routes, the car detail, the character customization, even the side missions, all of this was really awesome.

TDU was never a racing game, it was a driving game with some racing thrown in, the idea was simply to enjoy yourself in that big island speccing your car however you wanted and driving however you wanted. In fact, the G-class, reserved for classics, wasn't even balanced, as you had the Miura next to much slower cars such as the 300 SL Gullwing and the Maserati 3500 GT. There were always clearly faster cars, but no one really cared.

I wish Forza in general (not just Horizon) had more of TDU. I miss speccing and customizing my interior. The blinkers are unnecessary, but the folding tops from TDU2 should definitely become part of Forza in the future...
May the forced induction be with you.

This is my favorite game and I’m very happy overall. I’d love an option to toggle off the speed zones and drift zones when I’m trying to do something else, like drive to a marker or do a pick-up race. These zones reroute me and drive me crazy! Thanks for reading and I really appreciate the advent calendar cars, especially the KTM Xbow GT4. Awesome car!
