I expected prices of actually rare cars like Ferrari 812 Superfast to double or triple in last 3-4 days. But it's price has actually halved.

But wow! I can't believe they managed to fail harder.

The more rare a car is : the lower the buy out price will be...

When its supposed to be the inverse.

Now, the new Ford Ranger Raptor can have a 200k Buy out price... when its value is 58k in the Autoshow.

Their algorythm dont go as expected. They should count not only the time it get sold out but also the amount of car in a laps of time... The amount of research made from players... You know : determime which car is more desirable than another. But no, some Forza Edition cars or even rarer cars arent worth what they should be. It's more broken than before, tbh.

I love the new AH prices - it makes finding rare cars so much easier because you can now filter away all of the other junk with a price filter

If less people list them how will it make finding them easier?
Sure it will make searching easier, but finding them less likely.

I was sitting on many 20m cars I don't use, i was holding onto them as an investment. Since this update I have done what lots of people here do and deleted them.
It isn't worth putting up with clutter in my garage, and it certainly doesn't sit right selling them for peanuts when they are so rare.

Rare cars just became rarer, definitely not easier to find.

Buying certain vehicles just for Forzathon tasks and then selling them straight after for a decent price might not be worth the trouble anymore.(Unless they start putting cars worth buying in the forzathon shop that is!)

I have the ultimate edition and I was buying and selling cars as a form of earn credits without the effort of do the goliath race again and again, and for buy the complete collection of cars in the game including those worth it 20 millions, from the legendary tuners and painters, now i'm done with the auction house, i don't know why Playground Games ruined it, how annoy was this legal method of win credits without to resort to pages that sells in game credits for real money? For example i sell the Quartz Regalia Type D at 11M, next day at 9M, next 8M, 7M, 6M, 7M again, the price varies as twice the same day. First the Lego expansion, and now this, thing like these make me don't want to play the game anymore, and certainly not to buy the next chapter of the series.

I don´t know how many unwanted cars I removed from my garage.

The bad decision was to plaster you with cars from wheelspins (and not be able to sell them instantly as it was the case in FH3).

The nail in the coffin is the pathetic attempt to adjust the auction house economic system.

R.I.P.

Yesterday I was able to list cars with the newer 'lower' buyout prices which was already disastrous as it devalued my entire collection of cars while my Painter, Tuner levels continue to rise. Now as of last night (July 11 2019 around 10pm CST) all the sudden my Buyout Limits were cut by at least 30% while other users who are level 1 (Not Elite or Legend) are setting Buyout prices for the same cars at the levels I was able to set (and higher even) but I can't now and I have found and reported user auctions started by users who are not only NOT Elite anything (Zero shared anything, bogus user accounts) and are not VIP or have a club, listing auctions for the same cars I am trying to sell for Millions of credits.

This thing is only getting worse not better, who is paying these guys who are running these servers and coding these auction house apps anyway????

{Edited} ===> Thanks for burying my Topic inside 'New Rules' Topic....

PS. Also I have been losing 'Winning Bids' during the Ending Soon timer with a user getting the win without giving me a chance to bid again, (if I do get a chance to bid I continue to get 'Bid Failed' errors (this must be a type of sniping macro app hack)) with usually only a $1k on top of my winning bid amount. Last night I had a winning bid of $399K and then 'LOST' appears and another user won with MY WINNING BID of $399K !!!!!!!!!!

This is bogus and it stinks of hacked modding probably from PC users since the consoles are pretty locked down as far as being able to hack these types of games!!

Ok I am relenting and posting this inside this thread, hopefully I can get some type of help.

I understand that it has been reported in the FH4 announcement that auctions will be subject to price changes for cars that are harder to sell and that users who have managed (either legitimately or otherwise) to obtain Legend Painter Status will still be able to set their Buyout Pricing in millions, but I am finding that cars that I have been buying in the auction house that are selling well are now selling for much less (at least in my auctions) since just last night. These cars are specifically the Hoonicorn Mustang and the Hoonigan Focus. These are selling very well, but in my auctions I am limited to under $500K buyout pricing for both cars no matter what upgrades I have made (or my custom Paint Jobs & Tune Settings)

However, these cars are selling for Buyout pricing above $550K and in the case of the Hoonigan Focus more than $1mil credits from any level one new user who has no shared Paints or Tunes and hasn't gotten past Tier 1.

So, why is it that my auctions are being throttled or filtered or penalized (whatever is the case) as I am a legitimate user who plays the GAMES (since Forza MS3 I have all games and almost all DLC content that I managed to get before it was taken offline) and creates and shares my customization content???!!!

Your comments are welcome and I am limited to having this buried beneath all other comments.

I love how the Unique Cars category is still filled to the brim with the same barn finds, the same FE cars, and the same prize cars. None of which have even the slightest hope of a bid.

There are loads of Zenvos in the AH currently. Not sure why as I don’t think there normally are. Going for about £5 million each buyout.

AH solution cannot consider the demand as being jammed by scripts and bots.
The sell price relying on buyout is corrupted since rare cars will be sold with a very low frequency compared to other cars.

Honestly rare cars are known, just add a specific behavior of AH for those, None available , max price allowed, the more there are cars available for sell, the lower max price allowed for that car

Free market is not possible as some would use so for black market purpose.

It is an interesting mix of prices for rare cars. Current max buyouts based on a quick check of my own garage:

Apollo - £10,833,000 (list price £1,050,000)
Austin Taxi - £400,000 (list price £20,000)
BMW Z4 Roadster - £138,000 (list price £35,000)
BMW M3 GTR - £274,000 (list price £120,000)
Buick GSX - £2,628,000 (list price £250,000)
Cadi Limo - £970,000 (list price £48,500)
Colorado ZR2 - £120,000 (list price £46,000)
DS 3 - £520,000 (list price £38,000)
Ferrari Superfast - £819,000 (list price £1,400,000)
Ferrari 599Xx Evo - £196,000 (list price £250,000)
Ford Crown Vic - £500,000 (list price £25,000)
Ford 93 Cobra - £448,000 (list price £28,000)
Ford Capri FE - £331,000 (list price £305,000)
Honda NSX-R 05 - £258,000 (list price £150,000)
RIP Rod - £3,073,000 (list price £300,000)
Boneshaker - £1,569,000 (list price £150,000)
HW Mustang - £2,023,000 (list price £300,000)
Twin Mill - £419,000 (list price £110,000)
Maserati Levante - £127,000 (list price £85,000)
Maserati Versione Corsa - £20,000,000 (list price £2,500,000)
McClaren 12C - £466,000 (list price £250,000)
MB All Terrain - £2,049,000 (list price £250,000)
Pontiac 1965 GTO - £154,000 (list price £48,000)
Rimac - £20,000,000 (list price £2,000,000)
Impreza 04 - £359,000 (list price £28,000)
Track Tor - £3,201,000 (list price £250,000)
Vauxhall Corsa - £4,002,000 (list price £250,000)
Zenvo - £5,305,000 (list price £1,000,000)

Quite a few significant increases. Key features to me:

- Very rare cars have limited increases in price, presumably due to how few are sold. The Superfast having a max buyout of half it’s list price is particularly amusing;
- The two cars which have reached £20 million are readily obtainable for that price in the AH - it’s notable there were very few Rimacs until this weekend but there are a fairly constant supply now;
- The Track Tor is the only car I’ve been vaguely tracking price - it was circa £600,000 a couple of weeks ago, so is increasing reasonably quickly.

Overall, probably not the best system but at least some cars are starting to reflect their true value in view of rarity.

This is my first time posting on a thread here on the forums. Normally, I dont complain and I just play the game as its updated and figure out new strategies. (Insert Bear Grylls "improvise, adapt, overcome" meme here)

However, with this AH update, I am compelled to say my only strategy for the AH is to purchase cars that I've had my eye on that I didnt have the financial fortitude to buy before. (Picked up a shelby cobra 427 for $2million, used to be at $6million)

This update is messed up. But hopefully, after a few weeks and the hype has dwindled, it might start making sense.

Just been tracking Apollo sales between races. They are definitely being sold far more often now. Max buyout now up over £13.5 million, so I’d expect it to reach £20 million this week. Will be interesting to see if they are still insta-purchased then. My suspicion is that they won’t be and anyone wanting one, with £20 million to spend, will be able to purchase one at their leisure.
