2 years ago I bought Forza 6. Just for fun. Then I didn't know anything. I like the game. But then I found out I could play it only on XBOX, but not on my laptop. No problem.
As I travel a lot, I cannot take my XBOX with me, and besides, there is no internet connection. So I started searching a game like Forza 6, but playable on both XBOX and Laptop. Of course my natural choice was Forza 7, as I saw in the store it was for XBOX and PC. But then I saw many people talking they cannot play offline, which for me is essential.
Anyway, with Forza 6 I had no problem at all playing offline. If internet connection is broken, then XBOX just asks me if I want to stay offline. No settings, nothing. When internet connection is recovered, then it just synch all and this is it. With Forza 6 I have also Apex. I installed it on my PC. Played for 2 days. Then disconnected internet cable, the Apex is loading, no problems. I can play just only not the loadable options. Then I plugged the cable in and the game synched. No settings, nothing. Unfortunately Apex is just decapitated version of Forza 6.
But from the forum many people say they cannot play Forza 7 offline.
So my question is can I play Forza 7 on my laptop offline during my travels? And can I install it both to my laptop and XBOX?
If yes, I will buy it with pleasure.
Thanks in advance.

I'd be bloody surprised if you couldn't play it without an internet connection.

Given I can still use other players custom liveries and the auction house, as well as take part in the rivals mode without Xbox Live, I'd be surprised if you couldn't play the base game without an internet connection.

to answer your questions yes to both. You can play on xbox or pc while having them loaded to both just cant be playing on the same account at the same time. Also you can play singleplayer without internet connection. I did this as i travel for work and bought game for same reason to play on my laptop while im gone as i know its well playable on a pad because im not bringing wheel setup with me.

Just be sure to sync your progression to FM cloud before playing on another platform so your previous progression doesn't get wiped.

If you want to play the game on Xbox AND PC you can only do it with the digital version, not if you buy a physical version.

Thanks a lot to everyone.
The last comment is very important. I was going to buy forza 7 xbox disc, but I understood the disc would install the game on the XBOX only. And then I cannot install it on PC via the MS store or XBOX store, which makes me confused, as I own the game.
Anyway, thanks again, for my purposes I will buy it digitally, not with disc.

unfortunately to date, all XBOX play anywhere titles only work for both places if you buy it digitally. I'm in the same boat with FH3. It was given to me as a Christmas gift in physical copy but I spend more time on my PC these days.

Hi,
I bought the game digitally, works fine on my laptop.
I keep playing F6 on XBOX, and keep F7 for my laptop.
I am the most interested of the offline options of F7. So far I understood Driver's Cup (Career) is offline option.
Also I read, there are more locked showcases and events. Is the game unlocks them when I am offline?
Also free play I see is offline option. Do you know any other offline options and tricks, so I can play more offline?
For example, can I race with myself (ghost) offline? I could not find this option in free play.
I am asking these questions, because I want to keep them when I have no internet connection, but not to waste them now.

Thanks in advance.

Don't buy until they release penalty system. Racing is non existing. Maybe 1 of 10 races will bring you satisfaction.

Griefers won't bother about the penalty system they will ram you anyway they should add ghost modes for the classes (E,D,C,B,A,S,R,P,X)for people who don't like getting rammed off the track and drop to the back of the race.

Yeah it’s usually pretty brutal, but when you find the right hopper it can be really fun. I had at least 7 races in a row on Cyled Production that was absolutely fantastic last time I played.

The game is offline full playable. I would say you have tons of options in Freeplay.
The main question is what do you expect from the game.
The AI is not good on higher level the drivatars cheating on the straights. The didn't fixed that issues after one and a half year.

The big pro are the graphics and number of cars. If you simply love to drive this cars the game is great.

But physics are sadly more horizon like. But when you like that than the game is fine.

Ghost racing is not racing. if you dont have to work for a pass it is not racing, that is what makes the skill of racing is figuring out how to keep a guy behind even if hes quicker or get by someone who is slower. If i can drive through you we are simply hotlapping together.
