Forza friends who love customization,

Playground have made it clear they intend to update and support Horizon 4 for the long haul, that leaves three questions I encourage you to answer:

1: What bodykits need updating?
2: What are the best bodykits we could bring to Forza?
3: How can we actually make this happen? What steps are necessary?

Point 1:
Rocket Bunny 240sx-missing GT Wing
Liberty Walk Huracan-missing GT Wing
CRX-Missing sideskirts for all bodykits
Rocket Bunny GTR R-32 - Missing rear bumper skirts

Point 2: New bodykits?
Mansonry Stallone Ferrari 812
Sun Line Racing Nissan GTR R-34
PSM Dynamic BMW M-2
RE Amemiya RX-7 FD
RE Amemiya RX-7 FC
Pandem BMW E30
Garage Mak Widebody 180/240sx

Point 3:
I don't know, but at the very least I'll try raising a support ticket and tweeting some devs; anyone else have some ideas?

We are also having this conversation on reddit here: https://www.reddit.com/r/forza/comments/9uj5fq/if_you_love_customization_read_this_thread/

I think there needs to be a customization wishlist (with your post as the OP)

To add to your list, updated rally kits for vehicles like the 08' Impreza, M3 E30, Z4, Fiesta, Focus, 350Z, 370Z, Delta HF and more

Pretty sure a support ticket is just exactly that .... designed for game support. Wish lists for things to be added are not considered 'support' items. Pretty sure if you submit a ticket, you will be directed here to add your wishes to wish list threads already in place.

My Dearest PG/T10 crew...

All I want for Christmas, is a new adjustable rear wing. Maybe a few adjustable options. Maybe the ability to put the less obtrusive ones that you can fit to most "classic" cars (i.e. the little black piece of plastic) but on newer cars so it doesn't ruin the body line.

But for real... just some new default Forza aero kits would be awesome.

Signed,

Literally everyone.

not even that, literally just let us tune the car if the stock state already has a spoiler. I don’t want to put on a hideous forza spoiler on my car that already has a great looking foldable wing just to be able to adjust it. Why is this still a thing??

I agree, that wing ruins the shape of the car. Would be nice with some more options or even install it and have the option to make it invinsible would work for me.

I whole heartedly agree. I’d be fine with having aero that can be customized, sorta like the auto sculpt thing and having multi finish vinyls along with vinyls on windows.

Something new and fresh should happen! I’m one of the Forza people that is frustrated that more effort is being put into the driver and their clothing/dance moves than the actual cars.

Especially in cases where the car as-is has a wing that is clearly adjustable. I can't remember which car I found this on, maybe one of the drift pack cars, but the stock wing has visible adjustment hardware, but cannot be tuned so you have to get the Forza wing which honestly looks to be a solid non-adjustable wing.

Anyway, to add to the list:

'93 Cobra should have the option to convert it to LX bumpers and remove the side skirts. Looks better as a drag car that way.

Trucks/SUVs should have better lift options without having to add ugly fender flares from the JC Whitney catalog. Why can't I lift an off roader without putting flares on it?

Tires height adjustments. In some cases it would be nice to be able to increase the tire sidewall height to put a big back tire on a drag car or bigger off road tires on trucks and suvs.

The two FD RX7's in the game are the same body style, but the older one doesn't have the same body options as the newer one. It does have the Rocket Bunny kits so maybe that's why, but I think the RB is the only wing option. I'd like at least the wings from the newer car to be added to the old one. I believe it only has a no-wing option or the RB wing. The newer car has many more choices, one of which actually looks similar to the factory wing that should have come on the older model.

- Exhaust appearance changing with upgrades
- some interior mods I.e gauges, change seat colour, aftermarket steering wheel etc
- New wings/spoilers with ability to change angle
- Ability to remove badges would be awesome
- Windscreen decals/vinyl
- Diffusers front and rear

Probably asking for too much here but also

- cars with bolt on super chargers or turbos having open hoods and screamer pipes
- headlight removal for forced induction
- ability to install aftermarket seats
- weight reduction actually having a visual impact so removal of seats and interior lining etc

Also this wasn't intended to be a "wishlist" of any kind... it was literally just about the same stock spoiler that has been present for years now. Now this thread is about weird stuff like removing headlights and interior seat replacements. :(

My only hope is that the only "wish" that people post about from here on out is related to the Forza Spoiler.

This is my idea of customization, since Forza always lacked modifying the car's looks, except for decals and the Forza aeros and sometimes custom body kits. Microsoft could add a new style of modifying, not requiring any licenses. They could add 3D vinyl!

You know how, for example, the Formula Drift #777 Nissan 240 SX has that crazy cut out in the hood for the engine? Or how Ken Block's Mustang Hoonicorn V2 has those 2 turbos sticking out of the hood? Microsoft could Implement tools to allow us to make our custom mods. We could have crazy turbo sticking out of the hood or even allow us to change certain engine parts, allow us to sculpt our own body kits, maybe also having a tool to widen it! In the upgrades and tunes editor, when we add a turbo, for example, the engine won't change how it looks. It won't have a turbo!

The "3D VINYLS" could work like this: The editor would be the same as the livery editor, but instead of 2D shapes or logos, we could have car parts! We would select them from the menu, and place them on the car. We could also have a design editor, allowing us to shape the car part how we want! For example, there we could shape a special intake for a supercharger! Or design custom aeros for the car! Spoilers, splitters, wide body kits, made by the community! In the editor, there could be a template of the forza splitter, or forza Spoiler and simple fender flares to help us design the parts.

To add "building blocks" from which our parts will be made from, we could use basic 3D editor tools, along with smoothening tool, paint tool, a build tool, which when used, adds material. It could be found in both square shaped or semi-sphere shaped. Since Microsoft has already developed a 3D editor, they could use the programming from that and import it into the forza files and adapt it to be used.

Note: [b ]I am not a programmer! [/b] I do not know how difficult it will be for creating an engine to support the modifications. I don't even know if half the stuff I wrote about is even possible, but I have hope that this feature will be able to be implemented in Forza.

They would practically have to rebuild every model in the game to achieve this. As it is right now, only certain vehicles are capable of any modifications at all in body appearence, hoods, lightbars and spoilers. Even in that area they are lacking in design options.
One thing I would like to see is a chop top feature on many of the on older classics. But that alone would require a completely new 3D model to implement, not that it would be all that much more difficult, just a little more costly. We already pretty much get rinse and repeat vehicles from one game to the next, even get the exact same vinyls from game to game.
It's not like it can't be done, Crossout has the ability to design a vehicle from the frame up with many body options. Granted, it's not a racing game as much as a combat game, but the customization is far better than what Forza offers.
Thos could be due to licensing issues but somehow I think it's more $ driven than anything else.
Let's look at rims, exact same from game to game. A designer can create a new rim style rather easily, no licensing required.
There's a lot of customization features that could be added, but sadly, we get the exact same thing in FH4 as the had in FH2.

You’re post is not the first on this thread, which leads me to believe your post was merged with the OP’s here thread to consolidate. You should not complain. Don’t be so selfish thinking a wishlist should only be for a rear spoiler lol. I’m surprised RK actually allowed this thread to continue instead of stuffing it in the stickied wishlist thread where everything gets lost. But, a big thank you to RK for allowing this thread to be a stand alone wishlist for customization. I think many of us don’t post our wish list items in the wishlist thread because they will just be lost. This is the correct way to handle this thread.

IMO, wheel offsets could work similarly to track width upgrades. There'd be an upgrade called "rim offset" allowing you to move a rim inwards.

Obviously, some wheels like Rotiform FUC would need to be moved outward for their standard versions, but that's not much work.

The icing on the cake would be different bolt patterns, of course, but that's more for the aficionados.
May the forced induction be with you.

Ford Escort RS1800 1977 needs the proper rally/forest arches from ford! The use the same wide body kit (arches and a similar spot light setup) to the lotus sunbeam! Would literally mean adding the arches to the escort and positioning them correctly! The fact this car has been in game this long without said option is pretty ridiculous imo

I think and im sure a lot of other do think we should have new Front bumpers, Rear wings, Rear bumpers, Side skirts, and hood mods not just the Forza Edition ones. The Forza horizon splitter and spoilers have been in the game a long time and only a few cars have other upgrades from actual companies but there usually the full bumper so i was thinking of adding some new splitters, side skirts, spoilers, and also hoods from actual companies because not everyone likes the forza splitter and spoiler, and for these upgrades they should be for almost every car possible

For a start, they could give us the forza aero bumber WITHOUT the red hook outside all the time. That shouldnt be so hard and then ppl could decide whether they want the bumper with or the one without the hook.

Also, regarding the aero bumper on classic cars: for many classics there is a non aero bumper that removes chrome or plastic parts from the front, but the aero bumper ALWAYS has those chrome/plastic parts on. I wish the aero bumper came without chrome/plastic. It would make much more sense that way: Unnecessary parts get stripped from a racecar and it also look way more aggressive. AND it wouldn't be that hard to create as its basically just a combination of 2 existing bumpers.

But I also agree that at least 1 alternate aero spoiler would be nice

Good suggestions above.

My wishlist items (for now) are:

1) Club Logo Clothing (hats, t-shirts & leather or denim Jackets, etc.)

2) Club Logos for cars -currently, any logo must be shared with ALL FH4 Players; would be nice to lock it only to club members.

3) decals on windows

4) Factory wheels on other models within the same manufacturer -originally suggested by Fast Lane Gaming, would likely require additional licensing from the car companies, but would be cool {ex: Corvette wheels on a Camaro}

5) Clear/Transparent Hoods (show car niche)

6) Varying Exhaust Notes... let me explain :) Leave the stock exhaust as is, increase the decibels slightly with each upgrade (the race exhaust would be the loudest... possibly add more backfire/flameout.. for the small number of diesels, possible some soot -roll coal)

7) Interior color change -especially on convertibles/topless vehicles

My others are being worked on:

1) Paintable Calipers -beyond the car(s) that have it mixed into the paint scheme

2) Removable top -McLaren Spider for now *fingers crossed for others*

Some cars do have the body kits and individual selections and am sure more will. Trouble is that it is a fair bit of modelling is required per vehicle. It seems that they have it on what they felt would be most popular.

Recommend if is a good one to share it with a suggestion. The forza stuff can fit universally is uhe difference.

Since on allot of cars the Forza Spoiler's are necessary for a good build, maybe and option to "hide them" because they make good cars look ugly

Ok, since RK made this into an actual wishlist (sticky maybe?), I have a few customization items that I would like to see. Some of these are already in the "features" wishlist, but they really belong here...

FIRST...the convertible top issue. Many people have been asking for the ability to open and close the top via a function button while driving (similar to TDU2). While that would be nice, i doubt it will happen in FH4 (FH5 maybe?). Instead of bothering with that, why not just use a feature in the upgrade garage that FH4 already has? There are three cars that have removable roofs/shells via the "wing" tab...the Holden Sandman van (ute), the Ford Bronco, and the International Scout. All three of these can be made "convertible" simply by picking the option in the aero category. Why can't we have the same thing with all of the other convertibles/roadsters/spiders/targas, etc? Just have a selection for top up or down, or to remove t-tops, or open sunroofs. That way those of us who enjoy open air driving can have the ability to decide to have the top open or not, but doesn't require the complication of adding in open/close animation while in game. You could also add an option for including roof racks, like we see with many of the "traffic" cars in FH4. Just add a "roof" tab to the aero category in the upgrade garage, and this is what I'd love to see...

1. top up or down options on all convertibles/roadsters/spiders/targas
2. t-tops on or off
3. sunroofs open or closed
4. truck tray/bed covers on or off
5. roof racks on or off (storage, bike racks, ski racks, equipment racks, spare tyres, old mattresses, etc.)

NEXT ~ WHEELS...Forza has some great wheel options, but it could do so much better, especially when we've had basically the same wheels for the last several games. I think it's time to add some new ones. We also need more DEEP LIP wheels, close to zero offset, or even negative offsets...

Aussies musclecar wheels...these look great on any musclecar

Bathurst Globes...(stock wheels for the XA Falcon in FH3 and FH4, but they aren't deep enough)

Sunraysia...(used on Mad Max XB Falcon Interceptor, XA and XB pursuit vehicles, and Night Rider Monaro)

Hotwires...(stock wheels on some Holden Toranas)

Jellybeans (also known as 5 slot mags. Multiple manufacturers...stock wheels for Jeep CJ5 and Chrysler Valiant Charger in FH3 and FH4. Needs more negative offset though, ie. deeper lip)

Simmons B45...popular aftermarket wheels for Holdens

I would also like to see a decent selection of "old school" musclecar rims from the 70's-80's, like original Centerlines (3 piece, Champ 500's), Enkei (EK2, Epsioln mesh), American Racing (Vectors, AR23, Outlaw 1 & 2), original Torque Thrust D, older Halibrand designs

Then, we could use a better assortment of "old school" JDM wheels, like SSR, Techno Racing, RS Watanabe, TRD, Work, Hayashi, etc.

NEXT ~ better wings for Ford XA and XB Falcon, and Holden Monaro. Both the Falcon and the Monaro had "ducktail" type fibreglass wings available. I'm not sure if they were OEM or aftermarket, but they look WAY better than those bolt-on plastic wings that are the default for the aero kit. Just do a google search for "HQ HZ Monaro rear wing" and "XC Falcon Cobra" for examples.

NEXT ~ I know that we are now in the UK instead of Australia, but why can we not have a proper Mad Max body kit for the XB Falcon? I mean, PG/T10 made a point to add the Scott injector hat for the blower on ONLY the XB Falcon, which was an obvious nod to the Mad max Interceptor, so why not just let us have the rest of the kit? I don't even think anyone owns the rights to the design, so licensing shouldn't be a problem. You could put it under the "wide body kit" tab.

NEXT ~ Wider tyre options for the Holden Sandman. The current max tyre width is 215mm. Yep, that's all. You can get a wider tyre on the '94 Civic :/ I know there might be some space limits since the Sandman has leaf springs modeled in, but you should be able to at least get up to 265's or so. I mean, the brake calipers aren't even inside the rim like they should be. The Sandman (in ute configuration) is literally my favourite vehicle in FH4, but I don't drive it often, and rarely race it because the traction is horrendous from the tyres being so skinny. A V8 powered car deserves some better tyres on it.

NEXT ~ Paintable trim. I know it's not an issue on newer cars that don't have chrome, but I would love to have the ability to change the chrome trim and bumpers on the older cars to black or even body color.

NEXT ~ Since character/driver customization is now a thing, I have a few thoughts on that as well. Keep in mind, my list is mainly for a female character, but some of it can be applied to male characters.

1. Hair colors ~ as long as we are going to be able to change clothing, why not have a limited selection of hair colors to choose from?

2. Hair styles ~ right now you get whatever style goes with the specific character, but it would be nice to have a bit more of a variety, including some longer styles.

3. More accessory options ~ ok, so we get a watch or bracelet on one arm, and our Horizon wristband on the other. How about adding rings, necklaces, and earrings to the list?

4. Better clothing choices that are gender specific. One complaint that i saw over and over when the game first started was all of the guys whinging about getting "stupid" girls clothing in wheelspins. I have a couple if ideas here...first, create a Horizon clothing store and let us BUY the items we want, instead of getting stuck with stuff we will never wear in wheelspins. That way we can buy what we like and ignore the rest. Guys can buy guys clothing and girls can buy girls clothing. You can still have "special" unisex items like full outfits as race rewards.. I would like to see a few new clothing items...crop tops, halters, more feminine tank tops, heels (no not stilettos, you can't drive in those), sandals, boots that aren't combat/doc marten style, capris, and above all, MORE COLORS. Like with the roll-up shorts, we get those in literally three colors...pale pink, light tan, and red (that isn't actually red). Where is the white, or black, or blue, or denim, or even something crazy like hot pink? Maybe have a basic clothing item and then a texture/color selector.

5. Car company branded clothing ~ do you know how cool it would be to have a leather jacket with "Ferrari" or the Holden racing Team logo on the back? How about a hat with the Subaru logo? T-shirts with out favourite car company logos on them? Just an idea. I know these would require licensing, but since you guys already have their cars, this should work too.

That's it for now. If I think of any other customization wishes, I'll add them. :)
