Is there an issue currently with starting coop events? Tried everything even reinstalling the game. In and out of a party, when clicking start it immediately fails.

Yep. Almost completely broken since the last update. Unfortunately the devs aren’t communicating about it either.
when you start an co op event have to wait till get event failed to start then use the left b trigger to manually join yourself in to the event you just started is the work around
