Solution for multiplayer connection problem

If you have trouble connecting to multiplayer games and get a “Disconnected from server” message:

  1. Create a static IP for your Xbox One, then
  2. Create Port forwarding

Both are done within your modem/router settings using your pc. I contacted Microsoft Customer Support and they talked me through it.
