So its a.horizon 3 and forza 6 hybrid

Great to see forza 7 is just a hybrid of horizon 3 and motorsport 6

What makes you think that?

what a ridiculous statement without any facts to support it

Turn 10 could learn a lot from Playground Games about how to make the single player career a lot more engaging and rewarding.

For that matter, they could learn about DLC expansions, which in Horizon are proper, genuine gameplay expansions rather than the mediocre and limp offerings that Turn 10 offered in FM6.

Exact opposite here. The Horizon 3 campaign was terrible and the expansions were only there to get through for Gamerscore. Horizon 2 did it better, but FM6 did it better still, especially with the Porsche and NASCAR campaigns.

The Horizon 3 campaign was terrible, there was no punishment at all. Horizon 2 was even worse because it was repetitive and you had to constantly drive around. Horizon 1 still has the best campaign out of all Forza Horizons. Forza 5 was pretty great, you got gold, silver or bronze medals for the first whatever places (depending on number of participants). You only had to get a bronze (which was 9th place or so) but you were rewarded for going for gold. It was the best campaign system of any Forza game yet. Definitely better than Forza 6’ become 3rd or you’re out.

The Porsche and NASCAR ‘expansions’ had no campaigns worthy of the name, absolutely no effort or imagination went into making it fun or rewarding to play. NASCAR in particular was appalling, and they should be ashamed. Setting aside the addition of only three cars and one track, the AI doesn’t suit NASCAR and pack racing at all. The cars in Forza can’t race in packs and races consisted of getting to the front very easily and then staying there - once you got in front, the AI gives up.

I doubt FM7 will be any better, because the people who run the company don’t think there’s anything wrong. And there’s too many ‘fans’ ready to settle for and applaud mediocrity.

I loved the Porsche expansion. Progressing through Porsche’s expansive history was a great way of doing it and to be honest, it would be a great way to do the main career as well. Start from the beginning of Motorsport and/or the automobile and working your way up would be great.

The Porsche expansion was great working through all the cars. NASCAR has never been my thing and even if it was the expansion didn’t add enough content to really simulate a NASCAR season. Not enough tracks, a badly done championship, etc.

Much the same as the physics of horizon don’t suit hot wheels in any way. But at least the Porsche and NASCAR campaigns were informative, and the former had you actually playing with the appropriate cars, and the whole gamut of them over time and class, rather than being a brand name and nothing more as hot wheels is.

A career should be exactly that, it’s not a history lesson. U choose the era u like then race to the top starting in heaps of rubish until u get a sponsor and a works deal that’s a career.

Why are we comparing expansions or SP experience from previous games to a game that hasn’t even been released yet?

Go figure… !
