Q: Are the simulations accurate?

Just for fun, I tuned a vehicle to have one gear that went from 0-200 mph. The simulation result said I should get 0-60 in 2 sec. so I was pretty stoked. However, when I ran the actual car, it was more like 0-20 in 20 sec. which made more sense.

Anyway, it made me wonder about how accurate the simulation results are, in general. Any ideas?

Also, is there a best place to test drive a new tune? Usually I just drive it outside of the the garage and use the speed traps to gauge performance. Is this the best way?

I usually ignore them… In FM5, they are close enough, but in FH2, they are not. The simulation does not take into account traffic, grade or road conditions. Totally different than the consistent nature of the tracks in FM5.
