Paddle Shifters overly Sensitive - Thrustmaster TX w/ F1 Racing Wheel - Xbox Series X

Hi all,

The paddle shifters aren’t working correctly on my Thrustmaster TX w/ FH5 on Xbox Series X, if I press the paddle shifters, the game often registers double or even triple shifts.

I noticed, if I hold down the paddles, the game will actually continually shift, so it seems the game or wheel is sending out what is interpreted as multiple button presses.

Anyone else having issues with a ThrustMaster TX and the paddle shifters?

I tested my unit with Forza Horzion 4 and it exhibits the identical paddle shifting issues.

The unit works fine with other games like WreckFest and Dirt 2.0.

Also interesting, my base Italia 458 wheel works fine - it registers and shifts properly.

So I don’t think it’s a TX issue, but rather the F1 wheel functions differently than the other wheels? I wonder if it has to do with how the switches were built since the paddles on the F1 are push/pull rather than push only on other paddles?
