Have any winners been announced from LivRev008,009,010? Seems like the competition stopped after the site went down for a few days.

It is really starting to look like we have been forgotten…again.

Competition - #LivRev011
Game Tag - Buddy Munter
Car - Ford Escort MK1 from model year - 1967
Livery Name - McRae’s MK1
Prize car request - If I am fortunate enough to win a prize - I would be grateful for a Forza Edition VW Beetle or a Lamborghini Aventador J
Livery Share Code - 752 864 145

Synopsis - Wow it’s been a long time since I entered one of these competitions - anyway, please find below my version of the incredibly famous and historical livery that the great and very sadly late Colin McRae once campaigned on a the turbocharged, AWD Ford Focus WRC between 1999 and 2002. During this mid-period in his career McRae’s contract with the Ford Team netted him over £6 million - a huge sum by rallying standards and for a while McRae was the highest paid driver in the sport. Problems with reliability in the fast but fickle Ford Focus meant a disgruntled McRae threatened to leave the team unless M-Sport (the Ford Team Managers) could solve the breakdowns - thankfully it happened and McRae renewed his contract for an extra two years with the highly experienced Welshman, Nicky Grist staying on as Co-Driver until the New Zealand WRC Round in 2002. My interpretation of the historic Martini Telefonica livery is adapted to suit the awesome MK1 Ford Escort which I imagine McRae would have driven with absolute flair had he been racing in the 1960’s and early 70’s.

Game Tag - Buddy Munter
Car - Ford RS200 EVO from model year - 1986
Livery Name - Hooni RS Gloss

Livery Share Code - 671 508 253

Synopsis - The days of Group B Rally behemoths came to a tragic and sudden end in May 1986 when a terrible fiery crash ended the lives of young rally ace Henri Toivonen and his American co-driver Sergio Cresto - the mysterious high speed disaster convinced FIA President Jean-Marie Balestre that ultra lightweight cars with F1 power levels hammering between walls of tightly packed, unruly spectators at 150mph on gravel and slippery mud was probably a recipe for disaster - he had a point. Most petrolheads know the tragic tale of Henri Toivonen but lesser known is the sad part that Ford’s own Group B beastie played in the demise of the class - The Ford RS 200 was a car designed to do nothing but rally - a rare 200 homologation road cars were built to qualify the car for rallying but in essence the RS 200 was a short lived and somewhat underwhelming assault on the Group B class and two cars at different events in the 1986 WRC season crashed and killed people - three spectators at the Rally de Portugal and Swiss driver Marc Surer’s co-driver, Michel Wylder died instantly in a high speed crash during the Hessen-Ralle in Germany. The first generation RS 200 was underpowered compared to the competition and the car was troubled by dire turbo lag - a later EVO model didn’t see the light of day in World Rallying because of the Group B ban but the unloved RS200 found a new life in Rally-cross where it can be seen still hammering around the fast and rough circuits throughout Europe. 4WD, mid engine and a short lightweight chassis gave the car superb handling but for many years the cars were troubled by under-development. My livery is a crazy interpretation of the Hoonigan rally/stunt team logos and colours. Ken Block an American world class rally and stunt driver is the lead character in the Hoonigan set-up and his incredible driving skills are well known from the Hoonigan Gymkhana videos. His personal RS200 is one of the EVO models (above) the Gymkhana Technical Team have tuned the Ford 2.1 litre turbo four to give a mind numbing 750 bhp spinning and ripping the tire rubber through a six speed 4WD gearbox.

My competition entry is the gloss / shiny car but my livery is also available in matt / non-shine - see the picture at the bottom. If you want the Matt finish it is share code - 154-526-945

Nice but I prefer the Energizer Bunny branded batteries myself. I definitely wouldn’t recommend the ABC brand that is the most widely available here. They are cheap which is good for a developing country, but the quality would probably leave you needing to recharge before you got a mile from the house.

Soooo, the competition is definetevely closed?

Seems like it

Hi guys - when you say “closed” do you mean for now - to allow judging? or do you mean closed for good - no more livery competitions?

I believe they are only on hiatus and will return soon

Bummer… I just found this thread. I’m building some “unique” classics. Maybe I’ll return after I sober up.

Thank you all for your patience as we reworked our contest process, and thank you to Yaachts and BrokenVegetable for their work on the previous weeks!

We have launched Week 9 as a separate thread here: Official Weekly FH5 Livery Competition - Week 009 We’re continuing to use the “LivRev” code wording so we can capture all shared designs to date. If you have shared a design in game, on Twitter, or in this Review thread with the LivRev009 code, it is automatically eligible and considered for Week 9.

If you have shared designs with code 010 or 011 etc, you can either resave the design with the 009 description for consideration this week, or leave them as is and we’ll automatically consider them as entries for next week and so on.
