Despite being other topics about this issue there seems to be no investigation or even acknowledgement that at least for win10, mic does not transmit nor recieve. Can we have a word on this? It is game breaking for a social player like myself and others.

Check if it is disabled, find the game in your start page and click manage. there is an option to turn mic on or off.
The mic is enabled. That’s the problem. This has been the case since day 1. I noticed it works on my xbox. At least I can hear people. I can’t hear anyone on my PC and I can’t talk to anyone either. I’d like to know if anyone with a PC has their mic working at all. I am assuming people with PC use some other application if they want to talk with friends.
