Sometimes while exiting a menu or inbox, it will show the saving text box and swirling icon and freeze like that until I shut down the xbox and un plug it for 5min
Perhaps your game install was somewhat faulty. If this continues to happen consistently, I suggest you look into uninstalling and reinstalling the game on your console.
