Follow favorite artists?

I have checked the “Follow artist” on FM7. Now that this has been done, where can I go to see all of the cars this artist has painted?

That’s not something that following a painter in FM7 allows you to do. The only thing that following a painter does in FM7 is to move any paints that that painter has shared for the car you’re currently in to near the front of the list when you search for new designs. There’s no screen in FM7 to see all the work of a painter in one place … you can only see paints for the car you’re currently in. The painter’s “storefront” like in FH3 did not get added to FM7.

Really bizzare how FM7 only allows you to see 10 “Followed” designs at a time. Feel quite bad for the early bird designers on popular cars.

IIRC, FH3 showed at least 20 designs from creators that you follow.

The featured designs when you’re looking for a new design works exactly the same as it does in FH3. There are five different categories of paints that are shown to you in a specific order. And you are shown 20 designs in total. You will be shown every design for the car you’re currently in from each category one through five until you reach 20 designs. Designs from “followed creators” is the 3rd category … so unless you follow a lot of painters who have painted that specific car, you should normally see all of those.

For additional reference the categories are (in order):

  • Turn 10 Select (handpicked recommendations from Turn 10)
  • Friends
  • Followed Creators
  • Popular (designs with high star ratings)
  • New

You can’t.

When you buy a car or search for a design, if a Followed Creator has made something for that car, their design will appear towards the front of the Recommended Designs list.

It’s an inferior and clumsier user experience than the centralised Storefronts of Forza Horizon 3 and we’re stuck with it.

Yes, you see 20 designs in total.

But in FH3, designs from T10 Select/Follow Creators can take up the entire list. “Popular” and “New” designs will be pushed off to make room.

In FM7, you can only see a max of 10 designs from Follow Creators. That’s it. T10 seems to think you want to see a bunch of random designs more than you want to see all the designs from creators that you follow (especially painters that are quick with their brush and push out designs early).

ONCE AN ARTIST GAINS THE SKILL POINT FOR HIS TO BE PUSHED, TURN 10 RECOMMENDED WORKS BELONG TO THOSE ARTISTS. THEREFORE IF YOUR ARTIS GAINED THAT PARTICULAR SKILL AND YOU FOLLOW HIM, HIS WORK SHOULD BE AMONG THE FIRST YOU SEE, IF THOSE PAINTS HAVE A 5 STAR RATING…
