This thread lists race events in Career, Rivals, and Multiplayer, detailed with event restrictions. This thread will be updated when new events are added to the game.
Career Event Modes and Locations
Players will encounter a mix of event types in Career mode , most often circuit races with a few of the other types in each series. Once a series championship races are complete, additional Bonus races will be unlocked, which are all circuit events.
Racing types in Forza 5 Career Mode
Circuit race - Multilap race against a field of 15 Drivatars to beat them across the finish line. Payouts are based on your finish position relative to opponents, with a Gold medal awarded for the first few places, Silver medal for say 4th through 7th, and Bronze medal for the next few places.
Top Gear London Challenge - A circuit race with the added challenge of all sorts of items being bumped around the Top Gear track.
Signature Event - A circuit race where the Drivatar opponents match your selected car either by Model Family or Make and Model.
Track Day - You’re the sole competitor with the goal of passing as many cars as you can before the finish line. Medal awarded based on the number of cars passed.
Chase Event - Beat one or two Drivatar opponents to the finish line while weaving through traffic cars. Gold for first, Silver for second, Bronze for third place.
Multiclass Event - A race against Drivatar opponents, with a mix of cars in your class and cars in a different class, resulting in different traffic patterns. Medal awarded based on finish position.
Stig’s Digital Cousin - A race to beat the Stig’s Digital Cousin to the finish line. Medal for first place only.
Bowling - You’re the sole competitor in one lap on the Top Gear track using your car to knock down bowling pins for points. Medal awarded based on total points.
Autocross - You’re the sole competitor with one lap to get the lowest time by driving through cone gates. Missing or bumping a gate adds a 5 second penalty. Medal awarded based on your time.

Multiclass race event locations (League and Series):
Passing a number of cars in Career Multiclass events unlocks a couple Titles.
Career mode is divided into 8 Leagues. Each league has from three to seven racing series, and each series has a group of Championship races with some Bonus races. Championship races must be finished in sequence, at which point the Bonus races will be unlocked and you can choose to enter any race in the series (allowing you to improve a Bronze medal to a Gold medal, for instance). With the addition of Road America and Nurburgring there are a total of 669 events in Career mode.
ROAD AMERICA / LONG BEACH / NURBURGRING NOTE: The insertion of Road America events changed the event order of some series while medal results have remained in the same order, which leads to some events being shown as completed when players haven’t yet raced them. Long Beach events replaced other tracks and may also show completed medals before the player has actually raced in the event. Nurburgring tracks were inserted as additional events, but one of each series was also moved to the Bonus section, which again causes some new events to appear with medals.
Each series is restricted to a Body Family (see the cars list by Body Family in the next post), so you will only see garage cars you own that are eligible or you can buy an eligible car. Most series have a PI limit, so if you choose an eligible body family car that has been upgraded above the restriction then you will see a message indicating that the car is illegal, and have the option to automatically or manually remove upgrades to make it legal. If you enter with a car that isn’t upgraded to the PI limit then you will get a message giving you the option to upgrade it to make it competitive. You can buy an eligible car, but take note that these cars are automatically upgraded include the cost of the installed parts; you can choose to back out, go to the main Buy Cars menu and buy the car at stock price and configuration, then reenter the series with it.

Cars list by Body Family - - updated for each DLC release
Each car model in Forza 5 has been assigned a specific Body Family. These aren’t displayed in the My Cars or Buy Cars menu, but can be determined by setting a custom Multiplayer lobby restriction and then viewing the Select Car/Buy Cars options. Career League racing series are restricted to cars with the matching Body Family of its title. You’ll see that there are some Body Family names in the Multiplayer restrictions options list that currently have no associated cars in the game.

Description: “Be part of the ForzaMotorsport.fr Official Championship in Forza Motorsport 5. For more information and to register, please see http://bit.ly/forzafr.”
The above link will take you to the French language site, which can be translated via Google Chrome or an internet translator. Anyone can race in the rivals event, but online Registration, (FM.fr account, Xbox Live Gold account gamertag, and entry form/acceptance), is required to be counted in the Championship and receive a bib number, and Championship races will be held in multiplayer lobbies where use of the mic and French language is required. There will be 10 rounds run every other week from February 13 through June 20 - see the schedule at the site for details.

Is there a way to tell the restrictions of a league when choosing one? Like the early hatchback league, how can I tell what class and year of cars are allowed? I’m either overlooking it somewhere or it isn’t there. So far I’ve had to just join a league and then let it take me to buy a car to find out what I needed. Which sucks.
You can’t see it in game, but the Career series names match Body Families associated with each car. Posts 3 and 4 in this thread show the event restrictions and cars you can use.
Thanks for the info. I wish they would have thought to put this in the game instead of having to come to the forums to find the info. Oh well. Thank you again for this, exactly what I was looking for.
Does anyone happen to know when Turn 10 will put up a new monthly event? It seems like the Ferrari vs. P1 and BMW vs. Audi events have been up forever.

Career Events
The Road America Full track has been added as a Circuit race event in each of the 41 league series, variably as a Championship or Bonus event. Note that the series events have been shuffled with the addition of Road America, both in sequence and with some former Championship races now being placed as Bonus races to allow for the inclusion of the RA track. This shuffling may result in the RA event showing a medal you received for the event that was previously in its place.
Rivals Events
The following five tracks have been added to each class in the Time Attack section of Rivals:
Road America Full - 4.05 miles
Road America Alt - 4.12 miles
Road America East - 2.19 miles
Road America West - 2.17 miles
Road America West Alt - 2.20 miles

Restrictions: Model = Viper #91, car provided (Stock Only, R Class).

Track: Road America Alt
After the Bounty Hunter closed, this event became “Viper Strike” with the same restrictions, and the leaderboard times were retained.
“Drift American Style”
Restrictions: HP>600, Model Family = Mustang, Drive = RWD
The cars list by Body Family has been updated with the Alpinestars additions. Interesting that the Radical can be used in the Ultimate Track Toys championship in Career, and the This is England rivals event, but if a multiplayer custom lobby is created using that body family restriction, the Radical isn’t among the eligible options.
