Hello

Just a forum to find out what cars or the name of the engines in the engine swap or what engines you would like to see in FM. For example the 1.6L I4 Rally Turbo is a WRC engine from 2011-present and I’d love to see the 2014 1.6L V6 F1 engine be available for the Lotus E21.

Your idea for the 2014 F1 engine probably won’t happen unless a 2014 Lotus F1 car was added to the game. Even then, T10 probably won’t make that engine swappable.

An update on the LS1 engine swap available in FM5.

A few days ago while searching through my excel files i noticed something didn’t match.
I believed the LS1 was from the 2002 Camaro. However after looking through FM4 i found this.

FM4 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am WS.6 has 325 HP - 350 LB-FT - and a redline of 6,000
FM4 2002 Chevy Camaro SS 35th Anniversary has 325 HP - 340 LB-FT and a redline of 6,200

So the FM5 LS1 would more correctly match the Firebirds. However, with noticing something Manteo mentioned to me is that the 2002 Camaro in FM5 has 350 LB-FT instead of 340. So i looked further more.

FM5 2002 Chevy Camaro SS 35th Anniversary has 325 HP - 350 LB-FT and a redline of 5,500
Engine Swap has 325 HP - 350 LB-FT and a redline of 5,500 as well.

So it is most likely still from the Camaro in FM5, however why did the stats change so much from the previous Forzas?

As a side note, the 3.8L F6 matches that of the 2006-08 Porsche 911 Carrera S (997) (Offered Free of Charge in the upgrade shop is a Twin Turbo conversion which makes for 479 HP and 398 LB-FT making it very close to the 2007 911 Turbo) - http://press.porsche.com/archive/products/press_kits/press_kits_2006/pdf/carrera_coupe/carrera_coupe_specs_2006.pdf

CHEVSTANG, after you swap the engine into the Datsun, is there no aspiration conversion option for twin-turbo?

There is. Fully upgraded 5.7 V8 with twin-turbo on the 510 datsun only gives 789hp/748lb. Ive tryed it on 3 datsuns now.

Ya, I just bought the '02 Camaro and upgraded the stock engine and got the same numbers.

Checked it, I pulled wrong numbers from another engine somewhere. I’ll correct my lists.
I compared a base '02 Camaro and BMW 2002 w/swap and came up with the same results:

Stock engine: 325 / 350, then add the Race parts for the new hp / torque (cost):
Twin turbo conversion: 415 / 447 (1800)
Air: 426 / 459 (1800)
Fuel: 442 / 476 (2200)
Ignition: 456 / 491 (1950)
Exhaust: 474 / 510 (2050)
Cams: 585 / 536 (4700)
Valves: 580 / 550 (4700)
Displacement: 609 / 577 (4900)
Pistons: 628 / 595 (4900)
Twin turbo: 745 / 706 (5400)
Intercooler: 780 / 739 (2200)
Oil cooling: 789 / 748 (2100)

Total upgrade price not including the base engine price: 38,700 cr

Hello. I’v just noticed when i swapped my first engine it showed what type of engine they are when you click on them, but after you purchase them, if you use that car & move around with different tunes a lot, then there’s “No Way” to see the name of that “Engine Conversion” again… I’d like to be able to see what the name of the Engine is so i can add it to the Tune File’s Name. The car i used was a “1987 RUF CTR Yellowbird” & Selected the 2nd,Last Engine Upgrade. & now i cannot see the name of that engine. But i have a real nice tuning file coming for it!

Or is there a way to see the “Name Of The Engine’s”?.. If not… i’d really hope to see this is included in an update!.. & in the League/Career Menu, When Selecting Single/Bonus Race’s, It would be cool if you can see the # Of Lap’s for each event in the stat’s screen, where it say’s “Game Mode, Race Rule’s, Gold Payout & Gold” Probably fit # Of Lap’s there. Also Would be cool for a Single League/Series For “Single Drag Race’s”. I’d probably play the mode more often. & Why not just update the Video’s so there’s a Showcase Video that play’s when a new Single Player Drag Is Selected for different types of car’s.

I’ll just mark down the name’s to “EVERY” Car’s Engine Conversion’s In A Text. Will take a few day’s but i’ll post it later on.
But the one “Engine Conversion” Name i don’t have is the “1987 RUF CTR Yellowbird” 2nd/Last Engine Conversion. I Bought it, so now i can’t see what it say’s for the type of engine.
If someone can tell me the name of the 2ND/Last Engine Swap Selection For The RUF, Like how it say’s “5.9L V8 - Racing” For The “1969 Ford Mustang Boss” I’ll write down all those engine name’s for each car with detail’s & what not.

Now i know to make a list of car’s, not only that but a list with Upgrade’s & Info. I Still need to find a good graph/chart text editor so i can make a good looking list. if i’m gonna put all my time into that!

I’m still very new at tuning & painting in FM5, I’m going to paint something up this morning & put it up & see if it get’s any rating’s, i just don’t have much to work with like FM4.
But i feel the tuning is the same, & at the same time different… like i’m doing something wrong when tweaking gear ratios like i did FM4. 5th Gear Jump’s when i move 6th, & i can’t control 6th. so i’m not sure if it’s supposed to be like that? or if that’s a glitch of some kind?

I got on a roll doing maximum output upgrades tonight and updated the Highest horsepower engines list here. I’ll update the swap lists with the February pack cars when they’re released on Tuesday.
