With a new Horizon game comes a brand-new soundtrack! Pulse, Bass Arena, Block Party and XS are very likely to be returning. Also hoping for some other stations, like Hospital Records, Fearless Records and Timeless FM. As well as a Spotify integration to play our own favorite music (please, Playground Games!)!

When they showed off the footage at the stadium, there were logos for Pulse, Bass Arena and XS. No Block Party though. I really hope they improve the soundtrack this time around, and make it feel like we are at an actual festival. Horizon 4 just didn’t do it for me. The game should also have a station dedicated to Mexican music.

Chvrches and Odesza 100% percent, pretty sure the devs delayed the game so it would release the same year as a new Chvrches album :slight_smile: I fully expect He Said She Said to be part of the soundtrack; hopefully more than 20 songs per station this time.

So long as Hospital Records Radio returns with London Electricity and Chris Goss I’m happy, but I’m optimistic for a Monstercat station too!

I’m not a fan of radio stations. I’m more of engine sound ‘radio station’. But i found the music in the background, in the reveal, to be uplifting.

I’m definitely a music junkie who has loved the music festival tie-in with the Forza Horizon games. However, I definitely feel Forza Horizon 4 tracklist is easily the worst out of all the games. It’s the smallest it’s been since the original Forza Horizon, and even then it’s still beat out soley because of how good Forza Horizon’s was. So sick of the endless “dont cha dont cha dont cha know that it’s coming…” that out of pure passion for the franchise and it’s music festival roots I made a 270 song, 7 station (technically 9 but I’ll explain that) track lineup of exactly what artists, music and stations I wanted to see in Forza Horizon 5. The size is big, but it’s only a bit more than the Crew 2 soundtrack, so all the licensing is definitely possible. This took me over a year to fully work on and I’m happy to say I’m pleased with it. Spotify playlists for individual stations as well as one large playlist containing all the music can be found below under all the track listings. I really, REALLY hope the Playground developers see this and forward it to the soundtrack curators, I’ve heavily studied the soundtracks of the Forza Horizon games and if they could see this as a genuine die-hard fan’s track recommendations, I think it would help them a LOT. In the end, although I doubt this will have much impact on the game’s soundtrack, PLEASE consider adding back the custom radio stations from Forza Horizon 3, perhaps with Spotify’s assistance due to Groove being deactivated. At least let me enjoy this soundtrack personally.

All the game really needs is Spotify and/or OneDrive integration. No need for the developers to spend thousands of dollars on music royalties.

Due to the location this game takes place, I would wish for local radio stations, like one with latip/mexican hip hop: deliquent habits, cypress hill and this kinda sound. And maybe another station with some local folk music. I love the feeling of holiday, sun and mexican beer when some good mexican music plays​:grin::ok_hand:

Need for Speed underground from 2003 had the option to disable certain songs from playing. If a game I played in high school had that, can we have that in a game from 2021? I know that music is subjective, but I have a feeling that every FH radio station has some great songs and a lot of downright atrocious ones. Also, custom playlists, spotify/itunes/whatever integration would be great.

I usually just turn off the in-game radio and put my own music on, but there are some gameplay bonuses tied to the radio stations. Or at least an option to totally mute music (and dialogue). So far we could only make it quieter.

If there’s not a station dedicated to Mariachi bands I’ll be immensely unhappy. Saying that they missed a trick by not having a Britpop station on FH4 so…

I predict I’ll be shutting the music off. I think the last racing game I left the music on may have been Metropolis Street Racer. Amusing original songs and fun radio stations with the reception getting shoddy in appropriate surroundings. Even the country music was great.

I just hope some of them aren’t forced on us and thrown in as many places as possible this time.

Anything will be an improvement on ‘Don’t cha…don’t cha…’ though.

Hopefully, Timeless will return with a longer rotation.

And hopefully, some form of self-radio will return.

But if they don’t include Into the Desert on a Horse with No Name, they’ll have missed a tremendous opportunity.

Also, since the game is going to partly take place in the desert, some so-called desert rock would be great. I always blast Kyuss and Yawning Man while playing racing games and it’s a majestic experience!

It really needs a Trance or Country station. Those two would go perfectly with this type of game. We all know how good country is on the GTA games.

The return of some Dubstep would be nice too.
