Does anybody know how are the cars for World Cup chosen?? Tried trial, 90% on my cars C600 didn’t appear to select (yes, they were from World Cup countries…).

Wasn’t there a button thingy wich shows allowed cars?

Ok, forgot about it, Thank You.

That only shows cars whose default upgrades are eligible for the event, not necessarily all cars that can be upgraded (or downgraded) to be eligible.

lol…

Well, I was in the Chevy Camaro '69 for the Photo Challenge and that did Chapter 1 and I figured, ok, I guess I’m stuck with that. But it was easy anyway.

Had to alternate between my usual view and chase cam because the visibility is so poor in bumper cam on the 1st 2 races.

The eligible cars appear to be only the ones shown in the eligible cars menu, was planning to use a Chevelle but saw the screen and the Eclipse was the only one I had at 600PI.

Just lost my first attempt 2-1 because the only other good driver in the team tried ramming me near the start of the 3rd race and stuffed himself to the point that he ended up so far behind he never got back near the AI.

Eclipse tune is by Fast Lane Yordan, doesn’t feel very good to be honest but got 2 2nd’s + a win with it.

Eligible cars for “The Trial” shows a Ford but when you enter the race you cannot select it!
When you click on World Cup info, it has a button for “Go to Marketplace” but when you click it it takes you to the festival playlist.

So the embarrassing fails of PGG continue, unfortunately. It boggles the mind that, after all the bugs and complaints, they cannot even Q&A the simplest new things they introduce.

The only saving grace is that exclusive cars are no longer locked behind high playlist completion rates.

Yes. I did suspect something like that…

Notes and Tips:

For Series 4, the event car restrictions are set for the Horizon World Cup countries. Each event offers one eligible car by country, and the set offered depends on the race type:

What’s the reasoning behind only allowing those cars, it’s very restrictive considering how many cars there are in the game.

Thats the whole point. To be restrictive. The “devs” are doing everything as possible to transform this videogame into something completely different where the enjoyment is zero.
So, in this line, its not a surprise that they again restricted with no reason the cars allowed in the wcup. The event itself is dumb to say the least, but thats not enough, in top of it, they need to limit the selection of cars, again. What a joke of videogame lol.

Answer that and you will be well on your way to solving the many mysteries of Horizon 5.

Give me one reason why allowing all cars for PR stunts is good idea.

I know I’m only indirectly quoted there but for Seasonal Race its normally a little more flexible. Last week we had (B700) Retro Muscle and (S1 900) Modern Sports Cars for example, it’s restricted but not overly so. I feel the restriction of a single car to be a little over zealous compared to what we’ve seen before and took a little shine off the new World Cup event for me.

Wait a minute!!! It said pick your favourite car, so I picked the Saleen S1… OK… but I passed!!! So it’s not on the list but it counted???

This list has too few cars available and seems to favor or disfavor certain countries too much in some events.
For example, Italy will be required to use LM002 for all events.
This is fine for dirt racing and cross country, but for other events this car is a bit of a disadvantage?

And America. This country is very advantageous compared to other countries.
Chevy and Ford have a large number of cars in the game.
And even European Ford cars are included in the list, like the Escort RS Cosworth.
As a result, this country clearly seems to be given a more balanced car list than other countries in any event.
This would inevitably lead many people to choose the US.

And the disparity between countries in cross-country is particularly bad.
Italy, the UK, and the US are good, they can use 4x4s.
But why are Germany and Japan just hot hatches?

Yeah, probably the reason is “It’s a factory stock Class C car.”
But this game has an upgrade feature.
Couldn’t they have made the Mercedes X-Class, Landcruiser FJ40, and Titan available?

The removal of PR stunts is a bit disappointing :frowning:

Showcase remix was absolutely brilliant.

Collided with the trucks causing me to spin out and have to rewind 4 times in total including 1 in mid air jumping over the bridge so I was basically being done over by driving well and Brocky still shows in the cutscene afterwards before you get in the truck.
