Eliminator - Discussion Thread!

There were a lot of fun cars mini games in GTA online : football, offense/defense, relay, sumo, and a sort of battle royal inside a moving area in freeroam. There is a lot of room for improvement in mini-games in FH4. It would be nice if they were accessible directly in freeroam (like forzathon live).

Hot Wheels Eliminator
Cars and / or track…

Owned a few Hot Wheels Eliminators back in the day and my son had the track…

2 (Two) photos that are mine were also published (SOON - (licence plat) ) and VW IDR) and posted several photos on Twitter and here in the Forum, I loved

I hope it happens several times

Would rather just see car football return personally, most fun mode there was in FM4’s online and would even give the rammers a purpose and a place in their sad little online lives.

Call me sceptical but almost every game with a live service model hypes up upcoming content like it’s the greatest thing we’re ever going to see in our time, only for it to be a damp squib that’s average and ok for a few tries then is quickly forgotten about.

Don’t get me started on the latest Story.

If it’s a knockout-style event, it’s new… As new as 1997, when Need For Speed II had it. However, just because it’s old, doesn’t mean it’s not welcome in Forza, which, to my knowledge, never had these races (an NFS staple, like I said).

Later NFS would have lap knockouts. Old style was more fun because drivers were eliminated on a race-to-race basis and, way back in 1999, the eliminated drivers would drive trucks in the next races to make things even harder.

F-Zero X had something vaguely related to it, which was the slot machines for retired racers, but they rarely worked.

I’m kinda getting a “Thunderdome” vibe from this… Two cars enter, one car leaves…

Can’t figure out how to take my picture from my Xbox to my laptop, but I’ll just say that it took me just shy of 32 years to find this truck.

My first thought when I saw it in the Update 16 stream was that it was some sort of Lap Knockout race, as most are suggesting.

But as they really tried to emphasize its presence in the stream, and as people realized the license plate was customized for this truck specifically to say; “SOON”, I began to think it’s a possible third expansion, as others are also saying.

It’s a minor thing, but the attention to detail for the graphics on the truck is making me very hopeful for the atmosphere of this possible third expansion. It’s giving me Summit vibes from The Crew, and while I think the Summit DLC itself was pretty lackluster, the atmosphere was spot-on, with the banners, spectators, and vibrant colours.

Bottom line is, the way PG is hyping up this content at the same level as Toyota’s return, leaves me very excited for this holiday season.

Have spotted the truck quite a few times now and made a livery based off of it.

Here we see the Eliminator Truck and it’s escort making its way through Edinburgh…

I followed it for about 30 minutes to see if there were clues in its route, but it ended up circling an traffic island.

Checked the roof but there’s nothing on it :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a photo of it in-game. My Rossion appears in it, just to troll people further.

If we go back and look at the Update picture for series 16 you can all se the word “Soon…” twice and there is also a Dragrace event in one of the screens.
Maybe it’s clues for The Eliminator. And is it not the same blue colour on the middle screen?
