Posted the similar question in FM7 as well. Is there any way we can define and play custom races with friends?
Yes, in a private lobby with friends but not open to public. One difference with FM6, you can add 5 drivatars per player “friend” up to 24 cars per race. Hope this answers your question.

Custom private multiplayer lobbies seem to be unavailable. I hope they fix that as well as Rivals.
Rivals is available again, so I guess/hope private multiplayer too. I’d love to join some private races on FM6.
