Cars That Most Likely Won't Appear in Horizon 5

Preorder cars are already confirmed to not be a thing in Horizon 5. The Forza Editions and the Welcome Pack cars from Horizon 4 will likely be replaced by new ones. All Fords under the Hoonigan banner will likely not appear due to the now-nonexistent partnership between Ken Block and Ford. Cars under the Hot Wheels, LEGO Speed Champions, and James Bond Edition banners as well as custom one-offs, cars from other video game franchises, and the slower iconic British cars may appear, but the likelihood of that is unknown for some and incredibly slim for most.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the Hoonigan vehicles. Yes, Ken Block’s contract with Ford has expired, but Ken and Hoonigan do still have a sponsorship contract with Forza Horizon and the vehicles do still exist and are still fan favorites. So I am curious what they may do with them.

Actually the more I think about it, I don’t know if Ken’s contract situation will make a huge difference. I think the Ford contract may have been more for Ken’s rally racing in the WRC and ARA. The fact that he was under contract to them previously didn’t stop the Honnigan garage from building cars from other makes and putting them in the Horizon games. (Chevy, Mazda, Porsche, etc.) So I don’t see how his contract with Forza now would really be any different

What makes me doubtful of the Hoonigan Fords appearing is how quickly he sold a lot of them in real life. There is clearly something off there, unless I’m just reading into things too much, and he just got tired of them. Though if it were me, I know I sure as heck wouldn’t get rid of a RS200 Evo.

I’d be surprised if the Quadra V-Tech returned in FH5, considering that game’s reputation.

I do hope the Quartz Regalia D returns, though. I love that thing.

An eagle-eyed redditor recently noticed that Ken Block’s current Subaru Impreza Rally Car has had its Forza Horizon banner removed. While not yet confirmed, it seems likely that Hoonigan may not make an appearance in Horizon 5 as well, meaning these could also be absent:

1955 Hoonigan Chevrolet Bel Air
1972 Hoonigan Chevrolet “Napalm Nova”
1992 Hoonigan Mazda RX-7 Twerkstallion
1991 Hoonigan Rauh-Welt Begriff Porsche 911 Turbo

I’d be pretty devestated if the Porsche didn’t make it in. It’s probably my favourite Porsche in the game. That bodykit with those headlights just do it for me. The '95 and the 3.3 turbo are both close, but the 95 has the new era flattened headlights and the 3.3 turbo doesn’t have that awesome wing in it’s body kit.

If they replaced the hoonigan Porsche with just a stock 91 911 that we can then soup up with that body kit, I’d be ok though. Same with the escort, I really love that car with that body kit. If they have us the option to “do it ourselves” with these cars, I won’t end up missing the hoonigan pack.

I’m sure the painters would get right on getting those paint jobs in the game too. That’s the thing, you don’t really need the hoonigan brand in the game to make hoonigan cars.

Honestly I personally never really cared for the Hoonigan etc special edition cars cluttering up the car roster. I would rather see the vehicle customization system improved such that we could build these types of cars from the stock vehicles already in the game rather than the devs duplicating existing cars. In terms of the old British cars, it’s fine with me if they stay in FH4 and don’t come to Mexico (except for the Minis and some of the Astons since those are international classics), honestly I would prefer the car roster for each game better reflect the vehicles we would be more likely to see in a given location and be pared down to fewer but higher quality vehicles.

I hope that the james bond cars come back as their regular counterparts,

Do people think the Nissan Sentra NISMO and VW IDR will be in FH5?

Since the ID.R’s been retired, and Volkswagen is a bit finnicky on their status in racing, that one’s a bit of a toss-up. As for the Sentra, who knows, but I’d probably cut it if I were a developer deciding on cars.

Not saying you’re wrong with your speculation, you may very well be right, but seeing as Horizon 5 is launching with the most cars of any Forza title ever (I think I read 750+ at launch, probably mistaken though), I would wager that they’ll be holding on to a lot of what you have listed. With an increase of 100’s more cars over FH4, any reduction from FH4 roster only adds to whatever number PG has committed to meet for launch. Practically speaking, it’d be much easier and faster for PG to hold on to many, if not all, of what’s on your list rather than having to seek out any additional new cars to license, scan/design, test, etc more than what they have to.

If I recall, someone had pointed out that they had carefully worded that such that FH5 would have more cars AT LAUNCH than any previous Forza title. Meaning, it will have more cars than FH4 had when it was launched, but not necessarily more than it has now.

If it’s the case of Forza titles in general rather than specifically Forza Horizon titles, then 750 cars would be a realistic figure. At launch, Forza Motorsport 7 had around 700 cars.

I’m not sure where exactly I heard it, but I believe the “at launch” list will be around 550 cars, meaning a lot will be cut at least at the beginning, and some will be outright replaced by completely new vehicles.

Well, it appears Hoonigan and Ford will be appearing after all. Don’t know how that works, but we’re getting them.

It works by offering cash. Crude, I know, but effective.

I’d like to remind everyone when compiling a list of cars that might not be in Horizon 5 … that all they’re giving us now are cars confirmed to be in the game at launch. There will be hundreds and hundreds of cars added after launch … and very likely some of the more popular and requested cars are being held back to be added later.

I think I saw the Napier-Railton in the video where the AMG One is nearing the finish line, can see a speedtail on the right and some others and I think a railton on the left
