I honestly put no thought into those races and just used the R1 F333 and beat them all no problem.  The computer seems to be playing on either easy or medium mode in the arcade mode.  I honestly don't know what to say but I found the F333 was so easy to win with.

Basically as you increase the diameter of the a wheel you increase the wheel/tire's polar moment of inertia which basically means the higher the value the harder it is to to turn, rotate, or change direction...
