I can hardly wait!!! New to FM4, and 360

The last system I bout was a PS2. I have always plated the GT family games (1-4), but those got kinda boring. I remember years ago when I was autocrossing hearing about Forza, and how it had an autocross feature. Since then I've wanted to get into Forza.

Well I only have a FEW MORE DAYS. We got the boys a 360 W/Forza 4 (Essentials but I'll download what I'm missing) and a couple other games.

Hopefully I find a few guys to race with that are also new to the game, but it will still be cool just to race against other people even if I'm getting beat down.

Kind of a pointless post other than a way for me to get some excitement out. I CAN'T WAIT!

I dont think you can download the cars that are missing. You are missing all of disk 2 content.... I could be wrong tho.

I think you're right. I don't think a new full version of fm4 is too much (maybe $30?). Warning to the OP, a used copy will likely not have the Benchmark track download. Chances are another Xbox will need to be bought so everyone can get their forza fix. Lol. It's quite addicting, especially once you slowly explore the competitive side of the game.

I have the essentials game disk and I have almost all the car packs I bought all the disk 2 cars from marketplace along with a few other packs. You can get the whole collection on the marketplace. over the next week Microsoft is having a lot of sales you should keep an eye out for any Forza4 content

Man if you are just jumping over from the PS2 and GT4 you are going to be BLOWN AWAY.  I had been with GT since the first demos came to the local rental store (before downloads for you youngsters).  I finally got tired of waiting for GT5 on the PS3 so went 360 and FM3 and have never looked back and never regretted it!!!  Welcome friend!

Re: I can hardly wait!!! New to FM4, and 360

I was late to the party on the 360 and FM4 (bought this past August) and I love this game, it's all I play. I was a die-hard PS3/GT5 player but due to the lack of DLC, no livery editor and pretty much no fun allowed, I jumped over here...wish I had done it sooner. Another poster is right you are gonna' need another 360 with the Full FM4 game ( whens funds are available of course). Have fun!!!

Any Unicorns would be highly appreciated.I am partial to American Muscle/Pony cars and Classic European cars. Thanks

Re: I can hardly wait!!! New to FM4, and 360

Yes, as stated you can indeed purchase all of disc 2 content via the marketplace. Forza is a rough game to get good at at first. If you need any help or tips feel free to ask on the forum here or add me to your friend list when you get online and I'll try to help you out. Upon your first time playing Forza remember this is a simulation racer. Playing GT before, you'll already have somewhat of a leg up from a total noob. Precise movements, braking, and throttle control are key in this game. You might get frustrated learning throttle control techniques. Especially in higher HP cars. Be patient with it and you'll be racing no time. One more thing, don't hop right into online. The campaign is a great way to get started. Good luck and if you need help, message me or add me when you get online.

Re: I can hardly wait!!! New to FM4, and 360

I got the Forza 4/Skyrim Bundle a few days ago, as well. (And now I has an HDTV, too.) It's been fun, so far. I do like my normal settings for difficulty net me twice as much credits. Also, I've been playing for since Friday, and I'm closing in on lvl 30, already, so, it's great. Luckily, I still had a FM3 save on an external HDD, so I got the Unicorn Hunter Achievement....and I might just snag the last three FM3 achievements Christmas Eve and Day. We'll see. Anyways...Awesomenessities.

Oh, and Turn10, my Unicorn choice will be the 2012 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 until I gets it. :P

The challenger is not a unicorn btw. You get it via a pre-order code for Horizon. If you already knew that, I wasn't trying to be insulting, just informative.

Re: I can hardly wait!!! New to FM4, and 360

Of course I won't know till Christmas day but it looks like comparing FM4 to the GT3/GT4 on PS2 the cars look VERY loose. Some cars on the older GT games were garbage (ALL FWD/AWD) because they just would not turn. The videos of FM4 I have seen show lots of cars that look like they are sliding everywhere. I used to autocross at national level events years ago, and I've played all the older games so I have an idea what to do, but every game seems to be different and I'm sure I'll have a bunch to learn, and need lots of practice.

Thanks for the tip on the M/S sales that may be coming up. Maybe I'll get the disk 2 content for less than I expected.

It stinks I'm so late to get in on this, I'm afraid once I'm really into it, other people will have lost interest. And the new Xbox isn't going to be in the budget.

I wouldn't worry too much about people losing interest, online may not be packed but there are people on.  Also, Forza 4 is the rare game you never get sick of.  Normally I'm done with racing games quick but FM4 offers so much.  I got into drag racing online, careful it will steal your soul.  Every new game that comes out, AC3, Far Cry 3 are fun for a while but I always find myself back at FM4.

I have literally spent hours tuning cars to go .1 second faster, how mental is that.  If you want to drag race sometime add me!
