Come back?? How many tuners still out there??

    Hey gang,

Well its been some time sense I posted in here mainly due to the fact I have not been in a tuning garage for some time. I was mainly in the Forza Community Club (which I still am) but I have been itching about the TM. Some may or may not remember I was in 787 Tuning back in FM2 and FM3 then in FM3 I went off with the Looney Tunes gang and had a blast. Sadly though that was the last garage I was in and they were all great players of the game but it just fell apart.

I do know that FM4 is slowing way down and lots of people have left but I am wondering how many people are still playing the game and go into the TM to buy the tunes and paints. It takes alot of effort to keep a garage running and all so I didn't know if there is still a market really for a full on garage. Maybe wait till FM5 comes out and do it all then. Just wondered what everyones input would be.

BTW: Hello to all my long lost forum/TM friends. Been awhile but happy to be back in limited quanities :-)

I've read this forum nearly everyday since I joined on 6-13-08.  Played Forza nearly everyday too and still can't get top 100 times, LOL.

Drive my tunes lmao j/k... Yah I have had a few of them from time to time normally on small tracks. Normally though its not my tune though. I tune better for driveablity (I.E. lobby) instead of hot laps. Thats why I enjoy being in a garage driving other tuners cars. Back in FM2 the SPOT garage had their Turbo 5 car and had a hotlap comp that was 3 laps at Tsukuba in the arcade quick race. I got my first and only #1 not to be taken out a few hours later by Coops and a few others. I think I finshed 3rd, not too bad though.

I might just do some random independant work here to get the rust knocked off. Dont get me wrong though, I love the game and only have FM4, Horizion (which I beat already and will probably shelf) and F1 2012. I just didnt know if it would be worth all the work to run a garage these days. Might just be worth it now to just do some here and there for the fun of it until things pick up.

Thanks for some responses so I know I'm not just talking to myself and the crickets lol

LOL - same here (except I joined this forum about 6 months ago).

I'm still very much here. I check these forums & my Xbox Live text messages (on the live.xbox.com website) from my computer throughout the work day between tasks.

I spend the vast majority of my time in Forza tuning, always trying to get a little better at the craft. I try to drive as many tunes as I can from this forum because I like seeing the results that other tuners are able to get from different cars. I also know how hard it can be to get good feedback on tunes, so I usually try to at least leave a brief description of my impression & experience with the tunes I drive.

I could still do with the help of the TM for Horizon, sure theres not any tuning as such but they have a better idea of builds and they have some of the best test drivers to make sure the builds as good as can be.

    OMG this brings back memories!!

I check the TM on a daily basis still , having a break at the moment due to Horizon, Black Ops 2 etc but as soon as i get bored there is only one game that will be booting back up and thats FM4 :)

I will help out with any painting Bickel when I'm back mate :)

    Hi Bickel,

    Remember your stuff from FM2.

I started playing FM2, the last several months of the game and started tuning the last 3 or 4 months of Forza 2

I'm still playing but not as active lately--work and life ATM.

The last 3 or 4 weeks only had time to Hotlap, and have been stuck at work the last week, so not been able to play,

Starting to feel the withdrawl pains setting in.............Stick out tongue

I am here.  I am still playing, buying, and tuning.  My favorite 787 tune had to have John McClain's Mazda MX-5 and Camaro tunes.  Both were missle tunes.

Ahhhh yes the rockets. The Mazda was my first ever project that 787 Tuning had me do. Up until then I was just a seller but when they said they needed a paint for the LE for the Mazda well I stepped up and did it. After that I was hooked to the TM. To be honest FM2 had the biggest and greatest community in my opinion where there was huge names all shooting to one up the next guy. That is what I miss most really is the community support and competition. Don't get me wrong there is still a great community (better than anything else out there) but the old days were the glory days.

Perhaps FM5 on the new 720 (or whatever they call it) will step up the game to a whole new level. It is very nice to see though that the community is still around and enjoying such a fun game.

    Still here Bic,

In the same boat sadly GR has faded into the darkness but im still playing the game, its a lot quieter right now in the TM but you never know it may pick up again (but its long shot). Just do what you do best mate play the game for what it is.

Bickel! What's up man! I remember running your 787 comps back when I was working with NO CON7ROLL and NCTune. There aren't many garages active now, but I'm still hanging around

I was thinking the same thing, but then thought would it not be better with 2 garages for a bit of freindly competition ?

    Still here!

Ironic that I start getting into tuning during the game's autumn months, but loving it nonetheless.
