Delivery Comp 30 Mil in prizes! *EDITED 8-15-12* ENTRY CLOSED

Stories, proofs, and results will be here

Suggestions encouraged!  Also, idea inspired in part by Dante3003's "The Job"

**NEW REQUIREMENT: All races must be at least 20 laps or 90 miles and Ovals are frowned upon.***

I need some drivers to do a little collecting for me. I will be hosting a car show in New York City and I need my rides to be there. The problem is, however, that there are many cars and I am only one driver. You will need to drive many miles, but the catch here is, you choose the number of miles and I'll see if I have a car that far from New York. (Hint: I will allow any distance greater than 150 miles so if you don't have a lot of time, you can still compete. Also, if I get more money, I will have an extra prize pool for higher miles, kinda like poker when one guy is all in, but the others still have money.) When you complete the run, you will gift the car back to me and I will figure out winners by adding up certain factors.

Limiting participation to 20 so I'm able to keep everything running smoothly.

    Current participation: 20/20

If anyone would like to drive a truck or SUV, just ask. All vehicles will only be bought from the dealer once claimed. They will them be upgraded and sent to their new home. Any vehicle not in the upper A-class will be upgraded untl it is (spreadsheet has PI of vehicle after tuning. If you would like it adjusted, ask). Also, the average PI will be calculated and for each ten PI above, you gain 1%* of your time and for each ten PI you subtract 1%*. Damage will do the same, for each 1,000Cr of damage, you will need an additional 1%* of your time. All cars must be gifted back to me so I can review their history and calculate winners. After that, I will gift the car back to the driver and it is theirs to keep.

*1% used as a baseline estimate, actual change may vary.

Distance, now here's the fun part. The vehicles are scattered about the country. Depending on where your car is located, you will need to drive on certain tracks in that area. I’m not gonna be extremely strict, but the states listed should be near where the car you choose is located at that time. I.E. if your car is in california, you should drive on southwestern USA tracks, then maybe a rocky mountain track, then some tracks in the center of the county, and then ones near New York. Sorry to all who thought you had to drive on tracks near where you actually live. EDIT: Re-Read this paragraph if you read it before 8-3-12.

***Don't Worry About Tracks or anything other than how much time/distance you want to put into this event at this time, probably sorting out routes and such nearer the end of August***

Bernese Alps - Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho
Camino Viejo, Iberian, Ladera - anywhere
Circuit de Catalunya - Northern California
    Fujimi Kaido - rocky mountains

Nurburgring and Nurburgring GP - Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, North & South Carolina
Rally de Positano - Final leg of your journey, i.e. you must drive at least 20 laps on these tracks. 20 laps = 23 miles
    Road America - Wisconsin, Minnesota

    Re: DRIVERS WANTED

Sorry, I wrote this up at 1 am, but basically, you pick a car and give me a range of distances you will drive and when we have enough competitors, I'll send out cars and give you a US city in your mile range.

Your in. Maybe you can save one replay at a time and upload it, then delete it? Yes, the sdrive is in. got your car all ready.

For anyone with questions, please feel free to ask. Also, if there's confusion, at this point, we're all just picking cars, locations will come later. I will buy the car and tune it, usually adding race brakes, race suspension, sport tires, and other parts to make it similar to the other cars running. I will put a NY license plate on it and it will sit in my garage until we are ready to begin racing, Also, I might want a co-organizer as I feel there may be a lot of work ahead of me. The CO could take part, and they may also help with deciding winners. Therefore, sorry new members, I would like them to have a fairly good background in the community. Thanks.

    Hey Angel2123,

Sounds like Fun.  I'm a roadster person, and as an SLK isn't available I'll take the BMW Z8.  Distance available to drive, somewhere between 835 to 1036 miles (range based upon the distance from Jacksonville or Orlando to New York and the relative time I can commit.)

Would you like the 2010 SLK? or did you mean the 2012? If 2010, you can have it, and I'll give you somewhere nice in Florida as a starting point.

Turkeyboy, if you want to drive bernese alps, your car will start somewhere in the rocky mountains or west of there, meaning you'd be driving over 1800 miles. Tracks change as you move, so if you're in wyoming, you may drive 25 laps on bernese alps, but then you've left the rockies so you move on to maybe motegi, and then you'll go to le mans, then indianapolis, then mugello, and finally 20 laps on Positano. You see? the tracks change as you travel through the US. Also, the final leg on Positano is mandatory and everyone must complete it. so basically, if I give you 1800 miles, you have to choose your own course for 1777 miles.

    Re: DRIVERS WANTED

Yes, I'll take the 2010 SLK.  (Willing to  drive the BMW if you don't want to change your car list though.) I don't have to start on Florida - you can start me anywhere and I'll plan a route.  Just used Florida as a reference to determine a distance. - Lost Jedi

    Re: DRIVERS WANTED

2010 SLK it is. I doubt I could give away the Z8 now that I've driven one. Yours will not be originally owned by me, but it is still at 0.0 miles. Sorry, but with 4 in my garage sitting, do I really need another? :P

Also, anyone have any suggestions for PI penalties. Mainly, should we have them, and what should they be?

    Re: DRIVERS WANTED

Oh, wow, that sucks. Anyway, currently, the stakes aren't very high and there aren't people wanting to race that can't, so I say you can participate. Just remember to take a picture of your screen at the end of each race to post your times.
