Forza Motorsport 2 European Date + New Screens + 1st Wave Car List

A few weeks ago, we committed to a May 2007 release date for North America. Now Turn 10 and Microsoft Game Studios is happy to announce that Forza Motorsport 2 will also see its European retail debut in May 2007. After some debate, we felt it was only right for Forza Motorsport 2's online community if we were to release the game on a global level simultaneously. In addition, we've begun to roll out our massive 300+ car list in Forza Motorsport 2. So without futher ado...

I'll take some comparison shots so you can see that they actually improved a lot on the way moving rims look on PGR3.

Not just a 914 either, but the 914/6, that's just an amazing choice.

Are you kidding me? =p Forza 1 rims look ridiculous when they spin; incredibly ugly. The whole wheels look flat. This was one of my biggest gripes about Forza 1. The wheels in Forza 2 don't look as flat anymore, which is a relief after seeing the early Forza 2 shots.

Personally I think the new rim spins look much better, but they still need some reflectiveness or shine to them.

    Anyway, where's the Risi F430?

Re: Forza Motorsport 2 European Date + New Screens + 1st Wave Car List

Great car list...  914/6 and Countach are very cool.  BTW I'm hoping the Countach is the S version as opposed to the slightly overdone (relative term considering the car) 25th anniversary edition.

I think the wheels I've seen on the screens so far look better than FM1.  They appear to have more depth now.  Is there a certain speed where the wheels change to this 'transparent' form?  It would be cool if they only did it above, say, 40 mph or so, with that gradual spin, then the appearance of spinning backward before becoming a blur.  Much the way wheels really look.

The Risi Ferrari F430 is in the R classes... and we'll have the R class car lists later on.

    Thanks.

Ah okay. Anyway, the new screens look great. Barely any polygons are noticeable on the Porsche. Only error I see is the wheels for the Murcielago. The rims are too small but the tires are too thick. It just looks really wierd. Glad we can modify these exotics with body kits though.

Are we going to be able to modify the size in tires, or at least choose less thick tires for different rims?
