Konigsegg CCGT for R2 the best???

I was struggling in R2 due to a lack of cars. The Leaderboard was filled with listings of a 900 point Konigsegg CCGT as the best times. I tried it and you can only upgrade the engine. you need all of that to get to 900 points in R2. The car is bloody fast.......it's also uncontrollable. Even on straights you can flip the car (the only car I have ever flipped). I downgraded to the base lvl and its not much better and its just a touch better as there are no handling upgrades. Its just a bit better than the other cars. I have them on my ass and passing the entire race.

Now I got the Ferrari F50 the other day and found I could only get bigger wheels but to my surprise the car owns. It grips the road and has amazing acceleration. If you lose control its because of going to fast for a corner.

So how do all the leaderboard people get the Konigsegg CCGT at the top at 900 points? Do they do special tune or what as I have it tuned but still its like sitting on a razors edge from losing control.

Do you use a wheel, because its harder to be smooth enough to control the ccgt with a controller.

Re: Konigsegg CCGT for R2 the best???

I do have the wheel and I tried that because it was trying to tame a wolverine. The problem I had then was I couldn't turn fast enough for the corners. I can't believe that many people use a wheel and at max R2 rating the car is still uncontrollable. If I could go in there and get some better tires, springs, and such it would be OK but its like the handling (which you can't change) isn't enough to support the speed it has let alone any faster.

On one race it had a banked curve. So I opened it up and it would slide into the wall on the second half of that part every time and usually flip. I could go 120ish mph on that part and sorta have control while being passed. So then I get the Ferrari F50 and can take that same part at 160 mph withoput a problem.

Since so many people have the best lap times with it at max lvl I thought it would be easy but it's damn near impossible. There has to be a catch like the gearing or something I am missing.

The Koenigsegg CCGT is  a beast to get a handle on but once you get that handle they are amazing to drive. It was one of my favorite in FM2 to run in U class. When I needed one for career mode in FM3 I went to the SF and bought a couple different tunes and didnt like any of them. It made me wonder if they really made the CCGT even harder to drive in FM3 than it was in FM2. One day I finally sat down and tuned one and was able to calm her down some. No, it will not handle like the Dyson Racing Mazda, but man does it fly. I have it posted up in my SF Oakinator, and I would like to make you an offer. If you dont like my tune I will give you your 10k back from purchasing the tune off me. If you are interested hit me up on XBL.

The easiest way to prob find it is to search "Cosmic" for Cosmic Collision.

I tried your tune out and it may not be an easy drive but its so much more controllable. Nice job. 5 out of 5

I have used the CCGT and loved it. I used the fuerdog (sp?) tunning spreadsheet on it but didn't change the rear toe and use my own tire pressures and it handled really good. It was actually my favorite R2 car. I use a controller and the Kontrol Freeks racer add on. I might not set any records with it but I liked it.
