Stars Of Tomorrow *Drifting School* -Students Wanted-

welcome to one of the very few drifting schools on Forza Motorsports 3.

if you are a new drifter in search of some help, you've come to the right place. although i can't accept every single one of you at one time, there will be 4 student for every 1 teacher. if you want to join either post it as a comment here or send me a PM. i am going to have some beginner drift set-ups on my storefront as will other teachers if you are in need of a car. and please understand that it takes a long time to get the hang of drifting. you won't be a superstar in the first week. with that being said, just have fun with it.

IMPORTANT: NO AWD CARS. teachers will not be willing to teach you if you 'drift' an AWD car. some will argue that AWD is not even drifting

***the time and the date of lessons is up to your own personal teacher. contact them to find out when he/she gives his/her lessons***

-if you want to sign up as a teacher, post it as a comment with a description of your drifting style and what kinds of techniques you will be teaching such as clutch kicks, tuning, feinting, etc...

-if you want to sign up as a student, fill out the following form:

"founder and leader of team Apex. founder of this school. i like to drift with medium to high horsepower. i can tandem very well. i like to have a lot of speed and a lot of angle. i also stay very close to the inside. i can teach you how to tune and how to drift. i love to have drift battles, so you can expect to have friendly scrimmages with other students for experience. this will teach you the 50-roll, judging, and will give you experience on how to drift under pressure." -APX Walker

    SFX Squirrel

"Hey im Sam, but i get called Squirrel. hence the GT. I am, well, im a pro no left or right about it. Nah im kidding lol. I just love to drift 24/7. I have progressed so much with my drifting thanks to the help of others, one in particular being non other than APX Walker Big Smile not bragging, but i do consider myself to be a talented drifter and tuner. I can teach you how to tune no problem. I drift the MS Wheel, but can help with controller also, as i learnt to drift on the controller, so either way hit me up. Always on, always drifting, ALWAYS looking to help. Squirrel xoxoxo Wink"

    DM Undead

"My style of drifting is quick with style. i use medium to semi high HP cars. I run all tracks but will start you out on Benchmark to teach throttle control. Once throttle control is understood than i will more to the different types of drifting. I will teach you the inside line and how to hold the outside as well. i will touch on tuneing but i will have you tune your own cars. If this sounds like what you want then ill help you out." -DM Undead

    KKz Aqua (needs more students)

    SLYDWAYZ (wheel drifter)

    TD Bullet

"founder of Team DORIFTO. (inactive-everyone's on vacation.) i drift with speed and angle. all corner's apex are my best friend."-TD Bullet

    HKA BUSHIE

    ULDxGAMEFREAK V

    SCS Kemuri

I am the leader of team SaS (Slide and Smoke). My style is smooth and lots of angle so is perfect for silverstone national and tsukuba short. I drift cars with 550-600 hp that are reasonably heavy (dodge charger, ford mustang and infiniti G37 S are some examples). I am currently using the fanatec wheel right now and i am still learning with it but for teaching i can use the MS wheel. Techniques that i will teach will be to maintain a drift through long corners, over-taking (In a battle SJD Kaii overtook me then i overtook him back!), tuning set-ups for smoothness and controlling high entry speed drifts (or controlling the momentum). I almost beat the critically acclaimed best UK drifter SJD Kaii but his damn mustang was too good. I am from the UK so any UK students would be preffered. I can take 2 students at a time.

    XE Stueybaby Tw2

"I am a high horse power drifter, (using cars between 550-650HP) and I believe that with alot of speed and fast entries, you can achieve slightly more angle by effectively stalling the car. I am fond of using the power over technique and love hammering the e-brake into a corner for maximum angle, whilst controlling the slide with the throttle. I cant tune cars very well and mainly have SJD Minty tune them for me. But I can identify when a drifter is going wrong and give helpful tips so they may improve. Though on the forums it may appear that i have little patience, but on the track 'I got nothing but time'... I can teach 1 on 1, but if needs be I will invite more drifters into my lobbys so you can feel more comfortable drifting with a bunch of chilled out guys. I know this helped me when i was learning!"

Im English. Dont know if thats necessary though... (maybe for connections to AUS)

In the past ive sent loads of students your way, so maybe some of the ones you guys are teaching now are because of me. But still id like to give it a shot.

    20. Bmxer524 (DM Undead)

I have been drifting since about the end of may on forza 2

I have the new z06 with a zr1 conversion( I dont have le) with a fairly decent tune that i found on the site, and I am working on a saleen mustang now.

I would prefer DM Undead, but if it is all right I wouldn't like to be a full time student. Me and a friend have a drift team thats just starting out and i would like to learn more about tuning. I would probably be able to drift with undead whenever is good for him.

Personal skills: I have throttle control, and I tend to run 500-700 hp cars, I drift with the clutch and know how to pop the clutch or pull the handbreak to initiate a drift. I have a good understand about drifting and consider myself a decent drifter but there is always room for improvement. I have almost no clue about tuning and will try most tracks to drift on, but like I said before I would rather be more of a free time kind of student rather than full time.

hope to hear from you guys soon, my GT might have a full friendslist, just drop a message and i'll delete someone.

    35.IRxI Noob4Life

How long have you been drifting: Just started again a couple of days ago

Desired drift car: Mazda RX7 (FD), AE86 Tureno also used an S14 & S15 in Forza 2 (What ever you feel comfortable teaching me in)

Desired teacher: DM Undead, if possible

Description of your personal drifting skills: I started drifting with some buddies back in Forza 2 and got pretty decent at it but then I kind of fell out of it, then when I saw Forza 3 I knew I had to get it and get back into the drifting world. Right now I initiate the turn with the handbrake and I'm sometimes able to get through the entire corner but a lot of the time I spin out. I'm still getting used the the clutch kick because I didn't use that in 2 and I'm using a controller, not sure if I need the wheel to get into the school.

Thanks for reviewing me all and a Happy New Year.

    36. ryguy145

how long have you been drifting: 6 hours

    desired drift car: S13

desired teacher (YOU MUST CHOOSE A TEACHER. you can't say anyone is fine):IRI bludhownd or anyone if not available

description of your personal drifting skills: I know the basics, just need tips and suggestion and a touch on tuning itself (parts i can choose.. but gear settings, springs, etc) I just got a new steering wheel which im learning how to use, money is no problem. The main problem is when I start to tandem or try.. I tend to get left behind even when I hit the same lines as they do, or when im in front I skrew myself up from thinking about them.

As soon as I finish setting up and practicing I wouldn't mind trying out for a teacher or being a teacher's assistant.

    Many thanks,

    Bez

I just want to know what im doing, how to keep long, highspeed drifts going, how to extend the length of the drifts, and not spin out too much.. Oh yeah; i need to learn what which tuning does to your car.

    Re: drifting school?

Its been tried a couple of times before in Forza 2, some succeeded and some looked like they were going to succeed but didnt. Its worth a shot but only if you are going to become fully commited to it and once you get it going it sounds like it could be pretty fun.

thanks man. im just tired of seeing all the new drifters stop drifting because its too hard and nobody will help them. i just think that half of those that stopped could have been really good. and i dont mean planned lessons for the people, i just mean a group of vets that don't mind spending a couple of minutes giving tips. i know that you can't really 'teach' someone how to drift. it takes practice. but pointers are helpful

If this were to take off then Id be willing to be a student as well. Its a great idea, and no, you cant really teach someone to drift, it'd be nice to have live coaches that tell you what you did wrong or right, or at least live feedback. Im lucky enough i found someone to teach me how to do a basic tune, and gave me a few pointers in game.

    Re: drifting school?

I'll do it for free,i have been helping as many people as i can lately.I can tune a base car for you and give you an idea of how tuning and the different forms of drifting work.Forming your own style out of the basics someone teaches you is pretty much the best bet if you are to learn from someone else.Taking those pointers is the fast track to your own style.

no i wouldn't make them pay money. the only thing i would want them to buy is a good beginners tune. and i guess i could give funds for that too if needed. thanks for all the positive feedback guys.

so i've been seeing a lot of threads lately about new drifters needing tips and pointers. my idea is that maybe if we got some willing teachers...we could make some sort of weekly lessons? idk, just a random idea to help out some beginners. it's always nice to see more people getting into drifting. opinions are welcomed and wanted.
