    Easiest way to earn money?

So, what is the easiest (non cheating) way to earn money these days? Is hiring drivers a good option? Making them drive the endurance races for you? What's the avg. you can make on that?

    Forza Motorsport 4 finally here!

Hiring a driver to do endurance is good economy for whenever you can't drive yourself or you need a brake. Also keep playing season play after season 6 gives a better payout.

Re: Easiest way to earn money?

I found a great way to make money is this:

    Go to multiplayer

    Make a private race

    GAME SETUP:

    Select B Class only

    No assists

    put damage on simulation

    turn collisions off

Allow up to 7 AI drivers

Set the AI difficulty to hard

Take an easy but longish track for 4 or 5 laps

Hit A to apply the changes

Now go back in to game setup

    put the class on ANY

but set the PI limit to less than 601

hit a to apply the changes

Now select a tuned A600 car from your garage.

The AI drivers will all still be in B class cars except for one or two who will take low A511 or so cars.

They cannot ram into you because collisions are off

You do a quick 4 or 5 hot laps and you earn money, xp and rank cars.

Nothing easier than this imo and you can race whatever track you want or work on the ones you need to improve on the most.

You can make some good profits in the Auction House. But you gotta know what to look for to get the bargains......

that pays like 4-5 grand...what a joke...more money can easily be made on a speedway race that is restricted by body style (not class)

i was trying to get my sniper acheivement the other day and i was bidding on a for fiesta and the auction hit 160k when i could no longer afford to bid. so i would say 160k on a fiesta is deffinitly a good way for someone to make money. The AH is about timing. That guy got lucky. As for my acheivement i got it by winning a Maserati Gran Turismo for 6,000 lol

the auction house is defo the best place to pick up easy money ,i tend to look for the cheapest buyouts then put one of my paints on them and back to auction they go i nearly allways triple what i originaly paid for the car plus if the car has been moded then you can sell the upgrades aswell bonus.

Re: Easiest way to earn money?

design/tunes/logos on the storefront is decent, designs and logo cost nothing besides time and it's really not that hard (I can't draw AT ALL in real life and I'm pretty decent at logos and racing replicas, these sell well).

I hate the idea of having to actually "grind for money", I want to spend most of my time playing the game. So I accept to spend some time early on to replicate logos and cars (plus with time it gets fun), and then, everyone I turn my game on, I get between 50k and 400k. I don't race career (I hate it), I only spend my gaming time racing online, hotlapping/tuning (same time) and doing just whatever I want whenever I want.

I allways refused to do something I didn't want in this game, and allways found my way around it "legally" (never used a money glitch)

actually, the best way to make easy and fast money is to play 100% of the game's features (design, tuning, storefront, auction house, racing) you enjoy yourself 100% doing just whatever you want.

I see many people never use their storefront for sales, even less people use the AH these days, but that's where the money is if you play it right.

Unfortunatly the only real way to make "real" money in this game is through livery design or tuning setups.  You could do what a few of the "Popular" racing teams have done and just sell your tuning setups for $10,000 a pop and claim they are top 10 time tunes.

Or learn how to paint an Anime girl, those seem to sell like crazy.

While I realize it was to encourage people to use the store front, Turn 10 apparently isn't aware that there isn't a single racing series in the world in which the guy who designs the livery makes more than the drivers.  What's more, the top mechanics (Moto GP, Formula 1) don't make even close to what the drivers do.

Just keep yer head down, do some auctioning and keep driving, if you are using assists, jump in the hot lap mode, turn all that crap off and learn to drive properly without the extras.  If you have trouble learning tracks,  toss on the braking marker but don't rely on it too much, a good 90% of the time when it's red, it's more or less actually telling you you're going the ideal speed for the turn in a properly tuned car :P  Just use it to get a feel for where you need to brake, then (try) to find a braking marker on the track, then turn it off.

Re: Easiest way to earn money?

Long races with fewer assists and the Private multiplayer vs AI trick works.

Selling designs seems like a good idea but it can be tough for people to find your design.  There needs to be better sort options like "what's hot this week?" instead of the other sort orders available (oldest, newest, most popular, highest rated, most expensive, least expensive) or votes only last for a limited time.

Sadly I've found very little use for money in Forza 3 so I am just plodding through career mode.

In Forza 2 I lived in the auction house looking for deals so I could collect every car  (that achievement is gone), buy underpriced cars and flip them (that's gone too) or buy upgraded cars and sell them back to the in-game dealership for profit (that's gone too because auction house prices are too high)

This game is better in many ways (thankfully most of which are while racing) but it still feels like a step back to me.

i do this most of the time since the career never has multiple laps of positano and one isn't enough to set a good time

Roughly how many credits do you usually get from this?

however many you'd get online under the same circumstances

so if 5 laps of road america with 8 real people is 15k (i don't know what it really is) then 5 laps on it with 8 hard ai will be, too. i don't know if staggered starts affect payout but i doubt they do

Re: Easiest way to earn money?

Sometimes on long races i make everything on assists off except the opponent difficulty

then i just hire a driver and start the race. You basically get as much as you would earn if you enter the race yourself

Re: Easiest way to earn money?

I tried a way to earn good money (NOT PERTICULARLY QUICK) the other day and it worked.

Firstly, set up a multiplayer match and press x to change the private match to un-joinable.

Now go to game setup, change the game from custom to timed or time trial.

Then change the minimum AI drivers to 7 and the difficulty to hard.

select the map Benchmark speedway and then benchmark A.

Choose options like damage and ABS, Traction etc. if you want to earn a bit more money (Percentage add-on).

Then press RT to then get to the amount of time. I put the time to 1 hour 15 minutes which earned me 195,000 Cr.

if you are to put the time to 1 hour 15 minutes then heres some advice:

drive around the track for around 30-35 minutes  then leave it so you should be around 300,000 - 400, 000 foot away from the other cars. Best class to use is R1 to finish quickly. Select R1 and then select peugoet then choose the end 1.

this isn't quick but you earn good money for racing for 1/2 hour and also you get a rest.

also if your a low level then you'll be happy to know that you level up quickly which also you'll recieve a vehicle for each time you level up.

     Hope this has helped. =]

Not necessarily true. I bought an 09 Focus RS for 2000cr, applied a rally paintjob I'd created, and sold it for 30,000cr.  I also picked up a Lambo Reventon for 90,000, then was given one for level up. I sold the first Lambo for 130k!
