I lost my cable to connect the pedals to the wheel. Is it just a standard phone cable? (i'm not at home to try it.)

No man, the standart phone cable won´t work.

 

U need a adsl cable with Rj11 connectors.

 The connector are the same from telephone cables, but it has 4 ways direct, no cros or something like that.

No idea mate, I lost my power cable but MS replaced it out of good faith, give them a call see if they can give you a replacement ;)

 The cable from MS Wheel has 4 direct wires, and the phone only have 2 working.

Adsl cables will work. With RJ11 connector.

Alright. Well I wasn't able to get a cable to replace mine, so I found something better :)

 I also have a G25 and I discovered there is a way to use the G25 pedals with the MS wheel :)

I plan on making a connector using a standard phone cable and a RB9 connector.

 All I'm missing now is the pinout for the 360 wheel. Any ideas?

From that information it looks like the middle wires are the signal, and the outer are the power and ground? 

Alright. I think i have it done right. But before I test it, what would happen if a potentiometer is hooked up wrong? Could it get fried?

 I got a DB9 Female connector from radioshack. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2103806 (no soldering required, it's a crimp)

 A standard phone cable (RJ11).

 1. Cut one end of the phone cable off and strip each of the smaller wires inside. (should be 4 different colors; Yellow, Black, Green, and Red)

2. Put a crimp connector on each of the stripped ends. 

3. Insert the ends into the DB9 female connector using the below instructions: 

G25 Pinout (Back of connector facing you)

 1 2 3 4 5
   6 7 8 9 

1=Yellow
2=Black
3=Green
6=Red

 4,5,7,8,9=empty

4. Test it out! 

Let me know if these make sense. I'm horrible at explaining myself.

I bought a spool of 4wire cable the other day and some RJ11's and just made a couple of new straight through cords.  I already had some RJ11/45 crimpers sitting around...you can get what you need at radioshack.

Ive got this to work now thanks to tonyfreaks advice, BUT the break is constantly on when lifting off the accelerator.

 Is this due to the deadzone? and can it be adjusted with other games as the demo doesnt allow any adjustment yet?

This worked like a charm except I am going to have to learn how to drive all over again. When I got the G25 I had stopped LF braking as it is too hard to do (IMO) on them so I converted to RF on the brakes. Then when I got Forza and the MS wheel I took the easy way out and went back to LF. Now I will have to learn all over again, again. I also would suggest if you do this to make sure and set all the deadzones back to defaults and re-tweak them. Like I said, time to relearn again. Now I need to find an old S-videao cable and figure the pinouts on my Clubsport pedals and do this with them

Hi Guys, i myself am looking into this solution aswell, and i might have found your "problem" with the throttle and brake responding to each other.

 i found this G25 D9 connector sheet:

 Code:
1 Ground (Black)
2 Gas (Orange)
3 Brake (White)
4 Clutch (Green)

6 +5V (Red)

9 +5V (Red)

 

and i have read in a different post on these forums that the +5V of the G25 should be connected together

 "I'm going to work up a good schematic soon enough.  I can say I do have the two +5v jumped together"

 

so i'm thinking you should be able to jump the 6 and 9 together, but maybe with the use of diodes since someone else couldnt get this to work. I will only get my Xbox 360 when Forza 3 comes out, but i already bought the steeringwheel, and have a G25 sitting in the simulator next to me. Maybe someone can work this out, it should be able to work perfectly :)

btw, have you tried using the clutch paddle as a brake instead of the brake paddle? maybe that will change the input signals?

If you have this problem check your ground wire you have it switched with one of the signal lines for the gas or brake in my case I had it swapped with the brake.

If you have the problem where the pedals work opposite (they go to full brake or gas when you let off the pedal) you most likely have the +5v and ground backwards.

 

I dont understand you here as I have the exact problem you had, ie when braking, the throttle is also applied.

There are ony 4 wires coming from the MS Wheel to the G25 connector - I assume Gas, Brake, -ve and +ve ?

Are you saying the -ve from the MS Wheel is connected to the wrong pin on G25? Its pin 2 at mo.
