Would you enter if there was no prize?
Hello all, I'm (gamertag) CRAVINAPEX for those who I haven't really met yet (which is most of you).
I've been doing this whole photo mode on Forza now for a couple months I think, and I've been having an awesome time doing it. I love the friendly advice that comes from this section of the forums and all the comps that notable members have run. Which is why I really want to contribute to this fun environment by running a photo competition of my own before Forza 3 comes out.
The only prize offered in this competition is bragging rights partly due to the fact that I only have Xbox live silver (college kid and all, you know how it is), but also I think that it will inspire people to compete for a different reason: their love of forza motorsport photography.
RULES---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Luxury Photo Comp

The basics: The point of the competition is to showcase a luxury car from a predeternined list of cars doing what it does best: being luxurious. The winner should be the one who most effectively captures their chosen car showing off the pure elegance and regality that it possesses, but also does so with a good quality picture. For example, imagine you just opened up a copy of the DuPont Registry to an ad of [insert your car choice here]. Thats what I hope to see.
-Stock photos only (this means no editing software outside of game other than to resize)
-B&W or Color your choice
-Motion is allowed but it should not be hard motion (for example drifting, burnouts, or hard braking)
-Car mods may include wheels, suspension, window tint, and an (at the most) three tone paint job. complex liveries on the car of focus (explained in "My Twist" section) will be disqualified.
-Maximum of 3 cars in the picture (also explained more in depth in the "My Twist" section)
-Track is your choice
-Only Cars from my list will be allowed
My Twist: There are a few different scenario options for (if you choose) the other cars in your picture
-There must be a car of focus in every picture. This means that there should be one car that captures the obvious attention of the viewer, or in other words should be the most prominant object in the shot. This should be a lot easier if you choose to only do one car in your picture. Focus cars can only be cars from my list and cannot be racing versions of those cars (if there is a racing version available)
-You have a few choices as to what you can do should you include more than one car in your entry:
-You can include up to 2 other cars from the list but the focus must still be on one car
-You can include up to 2 cars with RACE inspired liveries but they must be the same model as your focus car. And of course the focus must still be on the focus car (focus car can not be one of the livery cars). This also includes the race version of that model (for example the Ferrari 575 Maranello).
-You can include up to 2 R1 class cars but they must be the same make as your focus car (for example if your focus car is the Bentley Continental GT then you could include the Speed 8).
-You may mix-n-match those 3 options as long as (1) There is a maximum of 3 cars in the picture and (2) the focus of the picture is on your focus car.
-I will be the judge as to wether or not your photo qualifies based on the amount of focus, but if your entry does not qualify, rest assured knowing I will inform you with plenty of time to spare
This is what I'm imagining when I describe this "Twist" although there is too much focus on the race car (my eye is drawn to it when I see the photo):

Prize: knowing you're a kick a** Forzatographer! (credit to whoever came up with the term "Forzatographer")
Opening and Deadline: The competition is now open and will close on Saturday July the 11th at 11:59 PST. I want to allow plenty of time for everyone to take their pictures since I realize my rules are kind of complex. also I hope it will allow for more creativity.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you truly love Forza photography you will enter this competition! (I'm sorta kidding about that)
I appreciate feedback so let me know if you like the idea and what I could improve on should I decide to run another comp.
feel free to ask any questions, but try to find your answer in the rules section first
Thank you all for being an awesome community and good luck!
