Official Porsche 911 steering wheel coming to Xbox 360 from Fanatec

As you may be aware, it is very hard for any third party to get accessories out on the Xbox 360, but Fanatec has succeeded! They have informed us that a prototype version of their Official Porsche 911 wheel for the Xbox 360 is nearly ready. At the moment forcefeedback is working well but not all the features are perfected. They are aiming to hand over a prototype version of the Xbox 360 version to developers of RACE PRO Simbin next week so they can integrate into their game!

Re: Race Pro Demo in 3 weeks + New Fanatec FF Wheel

One thing they need to excise from the Porsche wheel is the wheel-generated shudder under acceleration.  It feels so artificial, since it's the WHEEL generating it through input from the throttle, and not input from the game.

Re: Race Pro Demo in 3 weeks + New Fanatec FF Wheel

Race Pro is developed by SIMBIN. It was due out November 08. But has now been delayed until late January Early February 09. Fortunatly a demo is going to be release on XBOX LIVE before the year is out (TRY BEFORE YOU BUY).

Race Pro will be a near copy of GTR EVOLUTION-PC using a completely new 100% improved graphics engine (LIZARD) compared to the pc counterpart.

Race Pro will offer us dynamic changable weather (yes that means wet weather) There will be car damage, Engine, brake and gearbox failures. Fuel stratagy will be a part of racing as will looking after your tyres.

Some neat features you will find will be Sound, not only do the Engines sound A++++ you will hear the gearbox whine and clunk you will be able to say that sounds like a V8-V12 you will also hear the car afterfire on the over run. When you run off the road you will hear debris hitting the underside of your car, you will hear your brakes squeeling under heavy braking and your tyres squeeling in pain when your pushing hard through turns.
When your following another car you will hear stones and rubber hitting your windscreen you will also be able to see the affect of the stones and rubber on your windscreen/helmet visor, and my favourite is the splatter of unfortunate insects on your window. You will be able to see there exhauset smoke and flames. In wet weather you will not only see the rain falling and the mist from other cars you will also see the affects of running watter on you windscreen/visor. In time this all builds up and you cant see very well, so its a good thing SIMBIN included windscreen wipers/tearoffs the latter being in limited amount. And you will have a full working cockpit view to play with, arms on the wheel and gearchange. You will see the feet work the clutch brake and accelerator and a (optional view simulating) turning bopping head following your steering axis and bouncing around due to g-forces.

There isnt much i can really say about the physics and handling of the cars but that they do put FORZA and GT5P to shame. The physics wont just be better it is better by a very long way, you will feel and see the bumps in the road, esspecially in braking zones where in real life they ripple up. You will also find yourself spining the car if you change to 1st gear under braking for a turn. But not much more i will say except you will need to try and be impressed by yourself.

Tracks: Unfortunatly the exact list of tracks has not been confirmed as yet. But there will be 13 down from 19 in GTREVO, fear not tho as the tracks given will contain varying layouts, wich will bring the total to about 30+ tracks. We also get 2 exclusive tracks that the PC does not, Road America and Laguna Seca. And i do believe we will be getting more tracks as DLC.

Cars. I am just going to do a list here. Of the series and the cars involved.
