well first of all we don't know what class you are talking about.  Second if you want to know whats good, just look at the scoreboards.

    A-class, pretty average, I think.

    S-class, not that good.

if you're not pushing 53's or lower around tsukuba, you aren't going to be able to compete much.

for the casual gamer that isn't really seriously into forza, a mid 54. is good lap in A-class on Tsukuba.  It isn't amazing, but is enough to be competitive in a room of casual players.  when you get in with the people that frequent this site, then it is a different story.  Running in the 53's is tough to get to, but with practice you can, i just got a 53 a few weeks ago.  the biggest help that i found was watching top players laps with a similar car, such as TRC Kami, and R2P Jed, both in Evo's and in the 52's, and racing against their ghosts, although that only helps for the first couple of turns, then they are gone. lol

How do you race against another player's ghost? I would love to be able to do that, but I have no idea how to set something like that up.

Easy, just go to Arcade Mode in single player and Click on FREE Run. Choose your car and/or class you want to race

Go to the track that you want to race and press the "Y" button. You will see the Leaderboard.

Choose any racer in the Top 100 and press the "B" button. Jog down to Race this Ghost and press"B" again. You're off and racing! If you mess up and want to restart you can without losing the Ghost. Most races you will have to wait till the 2nd lap to stay up with the Ghost for a few corners.

I reccomend watching the replays also to see what gears are used and cornering lines.

I finally broke into the high 53's last night with a 53.8XX, best way i found to learn was to watch the top players replays for what gears to use and when to change up/down, then race their ghost for the lines through the first few corners after that just try and follow where you can good luck if you can keep up after the first 3-4 corners.
