Tuner Appreciation Thread: POST YOUR 5 FAVORITE TUNES!!!

QK Timmyflush posted a "Post your 3 favorite paints" thread over in the fantasy forums and I thought what a great idea this would be to carry over into the Tuning Marketplace.  This would give many tuners/garages the opportunity to know which cars are appreciated by others in the community as well as let a few people know what tunes out there should probably belong in your garage.  Positive comments are always welcome and perhaps a few of you out there have a tune that may not be one of the more obvious choices that you can also share with us.  In the end I hope that this thread will shed some light to some great tunes.

I cheated a bit as I will post 6 tunes but I decided to start this thread off by posting a few different tunes that I think people may look over.  Besides, my favorites change daily anyway.

    In no particular order:

    1.  Yashio Factory - S998 Fairlady Z Version S - The Zerone - Gearbox

It's pink, has a happy looking dragon, and it has a rainbow, but perhaps its pink for a reason.  Is the tune superb? Yep.  Is it a replica? Yep (not drift though, thank goodness for me lol).  Will it take pink slips from those that jeer at this car?  You bet!  Besides, what is better than passing opponents in a pink car and laughing at them as they are getting annihilated?

    2.  Summit Racing Camaro - B700 1969 Camaro Z28 - G-Tuned

What is this?  A tuned muscle car that actually handles?  Does such a thing exist?  Yes, one does.

G-Tuned managed to somehow pull it off with an interesting replica paint.  I thought it nice to include a muscle car in my list of choices because there really aren't many that perform as well as this one.  For anyone interested in a muscle car tune that you can actually drive, I strongly recommend this one.

    3. AG's Raging Bulls - S998 Lamboghini Murcielago / Gallardo Superleggera - Tuning AG

These are my favorite Lambos in my garage, and they are probably the favorites of many others as well.  This pack is probably a MUST HAVE!  Tuning AG's Raging Bull Pack was a much appreciated addition to my collection and it will be to yours as well when AG opens their catalog back up if you don't own these yet.

    4.  Plop's Civic Type R '07 - B700 Honda Civic Type R '07 - The Plop Shop

This car was without a doubt one of my best B-Class cars to race with.  Bruther Superior remarked with this car... "It wasn’t racing anymore. It was 7 guys trying to catch me or me driving on a track with 7 rolling chicanes that occasionally swear at me when they receive a lesson. In short, this is quite possibly the most dangerous grip tuned FWD car out there."  Well said Bruther, No matter where I was (lobby, hotlap, career) I found this car was a stellar performer.  Once known as Tanjent Tuning the community has now come to know this quality garage as "The Plop Shop."

    5.  Mugen Civic Type-R - B700 Honda Civic Type R '07 - Tuning AG/Duffman D collab (tune unreleased)

I won this in AG's 4 pack photo competition and I must say this tune is an excellent rival to Plop's Civic Type-R '07.  However, this tune is yet to be released and I'd figure I'd share it with you all (and gloat....mwuhahahahaha....j/k).  The paint came in 4 different color choices, I think I may have the only green one at the moment.  It's fast, Duffman did a fantastic job with the paint, and I need to get into more B-Class races with it.

    6.  The "Best Kept" Secret (crap! secret's out) - A850 Volkwagen R32 - MadTunerz

Great VW German paint coupled with a race lobby-killing tune, this little car can out-accelerate the best of 'em and slices through the tracks like butta!  This car is awesome on just about any track you put it on and I find it great fun to drive when I'm not in one of my "52 second cars".  Of course for me, a 52 second car has yet to truly be a 52 second car due to my driving skill...or lack thereof lol.

    Honorable Mentions:

...or cars I expect to show up below this post so I didn't want to post them, but I do love the tunes from the ones I actually own and would be empty without them) Stick out tongue [:P]

TE1/TE2/TE3, R2P's A850 R34, AG/Sassy's Joker "Why So Serious?" Audi R8, RiST A850 Lotus Elise 135R, Gearbox's M-Speed, Cars from Deadly Tactics (Fuji series, seven samurai, Audi, Nurbringring, etc.), Bushido/Kruz Missle, Aegis/Banzai, Little Vixen/Recipe's Griffin (*shameless plug*) A few D class cars (hiya Drop D Tuning *waves*), 52 second cars (OMG Killer Bee, Evo's, Surbaru's *waves @ Jed as he laps me*), *waves @ Fat Pig Tuning, the sharks (yellow/blue), if you weren't mentioned I apologize now but trust me I'll prolly buy a car from you or have before.

Okay time to post some of your own favorites

    RULES:

    1.  IF YOU BELONG TO A GARAGE YOU CAN NOT POST A TUNE FROM IT.

<  of course you like those tunes, post someone else's you like. ;p  >

    2. 1 pic per car posted - MAXIMUM 5 favorites - try to be as orderly and neat as I was, or do even better), no need to post 5 cars, post one if you feel like, you may add more later. Big Smile [:D]

    3.  Be sure to at least post the class and tuner/garage.  Brief summaries aren't neccessary, but fun to read.

    4. Positive comments welcome.

    5.  Certain duplicate cars may be featured in many posts, try to switch it up amongst garages or post a car that someone hasn't posted.  Also don't just post a bunch of LE's that no one else can get unless there was a mass production tune that was also available.  Of course a lot of people will love the Kruz Missle, The Killer Bee, The Banzai, etc. but I don't want to see it as every single poster's choice if it can be helped.  Hopefully, if you bothered to read this far, you catch my drift here and see how cool this thread can become.

Have fun and I hope this gives a bit of insight as to what cars many people in the comunity feel are MUST HAVES in a garage.

BIG UPS, CHEERS, & THANKS TO ALL YOU TUNERS/TESTERS/GARAGES!

*Get those placeholder threads in. Party!!! [<:o)]

Re: Tuner Appreciation Thread: POST YOUR 5 FAVORITE TUNES!!!

These are in absolutely no particular order, and it was REAAALLY tough trying to pick out my top 5 fav...but here they are...

(A850) The original, Tsukuba Express 1:  I mean, come on, what's not to love about this car? It was a pinnacle in the tuning marketplace and today is one of the more sought after cars just due to its reputation...

(A847)The Racing Project RX-8 Grip Edition by Yamadaman...this car was released along with the TE1 and another drift edition of the RX-8 was also in the set..i own one of each of these beautiful cars, the paint alone on this car is epic, let alone the grip tune for it is also outstanding...

(S993) Romi's Seat Cupra GT....i stumbled across this on the auction house one night, so I decided to purchase it..i took her for a couple of spins on various tracks and realized this car handles exceptionally well...i was actually shocked on how well i did in this car...there isn't really a paint job, but I'm finding myself to like this car, simply for that..it's paint job, while simple, makes the car clean, and overall looks wonderful. Keep it up Romi!

(A850)The Seven Samurai Nissan Silvia S14 by DT 31770 and the DT Crew:  there isn't anything else i can say about this car other than "OMFG THIS CAR IS EPIC AS DOO-DOO BALLS!!!!" i mean, the tune on it is amazing, but MY GOD LOOK AT THIS FREAKING PAINT JOB!! ARE YOU F-ING KIDDING ME?!!

    last, but certainly not least...

(B700)Yamadaman's BMW M3 tuned for Nurburgring (3 out of 10).  This car, is probably one of the easiest cars i've driven tuned for the Ring.  It takes a little bit to figure out what you can and can't do in this car, but once it's all said and done, this car zings across the ring and handles curves soooo good..plus, the paint on it is also nice too!

Re: Tuner Appreciation Thread: POST YOUR 5 FAVORITE TUNES!!!

Thought i'd share my top 5...

    #5

    "AG Tuning" 1995 Mazda INGS RX-7 (A850)

This was the 1st tuning company car i purchased once i found out about this place.  I could not believe how different it felt to all the "Stock" cars i had in my garage.  I was totally amazed!  Loved it as soon as i drove it, and still do!

    #4

"PlopShop" 2006 Honda Civic Si Coupe (B700)

This is the car that set the standard for all of my B-Class times.  And it is also the car that made me decide i wanted to try my hand at tuning.  Taking note of how the car was set up compared to my own, i started to understand what settings made what changes to the way a car performs.  I have 4-5 PlopShop cars now, but this was my first, and is still my favourite!

    #3

    "SW2" 2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nur "AEGIS" (S998)

I dont race alot of S-Class, but to be honest i didnt buy it to race...  I dont really need to say much more...  Just look at how beautiful it is!

    #2

"Redline Tuning" 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII MR (A850)

This was a really tough choice for me, because i'm an Evo man at heart.  This car is amazing to drive, and when i only had to pay 200,000cr to get a 52 second car around Tsukuba i felt pretty guilty to be honest.  Its worth SOOOoooo much more than that.  Handles like its on rails, and pulls like a train.  A superb car, and a must own for everyone.  Period.

    #1

    "AZT" 1998 Subaru Impreza 22B STi "Killer B" (A850)

This car now holds my PB around Tsukuba (by .040 over Redlines Evo 8).  It handles very much the same as Redline's Evo VIII, but it just feels a tiny bit more stable out of the corners (but that could just be the way i drive).  Again, this car is a must buy, and the only reason its ahead of the Evo in my top 5, is that .040!

I hope this thread doesnt upset people when they dont make it into someones top 5!  I think i picked my words carefully enough not to offend anyone.  To be honest, i would recommend all of these cars, and i'll be sure to try and pick up other cars that people put in their top 5.  Excellent work by all tuning garages i've mentioned (and ones i havent), keep it up Yes [Y]

Re: Tuner Appreciation Thread: POST YOUR 5 FAVORITE TUNES!!!

    in no particular order:

hot wheels' / negative camber's b class focus. awesome for short tracks. still holds my record for tsukuba in it's class, despite what i throw at it. and the paint is stunning.

speed phantom / r2p enzo's u class chrysler me-four-12. anytime a host throws a curveball and sets up a u class race, this comes out the bag. an awesome car, grips like it's on rails, accelerates like there's no tomorrow, outstanding on short or long tracks alike. the u class weapon of choice.

romituned blue shark. this was created to compete with garage setagaya's yellow shark, and imho blew it away. pre-missile this was my s class car of choice, i still love this car and still turn to it when a host "bans" missiles. to this day the best s class porsche tune imho. so good i bought two.

unique balance motorsports (before i was affiliated with them so it counts  Stick out tongue [:P] ) b class evo 8 gsr. the first car i bought from here, tuned by the evo doctor himself - junismo. an awesome car, inspired by the te1 and dropped into b class, this thing is on rails. i've since got my paws on the le version which can be seen here . plus i had to include an evo in here somewhere didn't i?  Stick out tongue [:P]Party!!! [<:o)]

tango tuner's d class pontiac solstice. again, an early purchase from the marketplace. still a great car. you need a short track d class car? you need one of these. i'd sell you mine but you couldn't afford it  Wink [;)]Stick out tongue [:P]

    my evo collection , updated 11.11.08 - 166!!

Re: Tuner Appreciation Thread: POST YOUR 5 FAVORITE TUNES!!!

it seriously took me almost an hour to narrow it down to 5. i have so many great cars from different garages, it was definitely rough. I can't believe i had to leave out stuff like the original yellow shark, the 787 audi TT that holds almost all of my A Class PBs, and all of AG's great cars. anyways, heres the top 5:

    5. Tiddy's Lancer Evolution 10 (A850)
The lancer evo X was the first downloadable car i got really excited about. Once i heard it was on the way i just couldnt wait. which, to me, makes it surprising that i still only have one in my garage. when i saw the paint on this one i just knew i had to have it, and after running it a bit i found that the tune was as great as the paint. everything i wanted and needed from an Evo X.

    4. Dewstain's Viper SRT 10 (S998)
Great paint. not too flashy, not too boring, just right. What really shines here for me though is the tune. extremely driveable, and more importantly tons of fun. and zomg that exhaust note....

    3. AZT Killer B (A850)
my favorite subaru model on the game, coupled with a cool paint and near perfect tune. couldn't ask for much more than that.

    2. SW2 "Aegis" Skyline R34 Nur (S998)
man i wish i could come up with paints like this. i love the way it looks. the tune is great too. very, very close to being #1.

    1. Gearbox "Ava" INGS RX-7 (S998)
barely edging out the Aegis, this car wins purely on fun factor. I run better times with the aegis(though barely). I like the Aegis paint better. the Aegis AWD jump off the line is great. but i always seem to pick this car when i want to run a tune that isnt mine online. its just so fun to drive. oh, and beating people with the pink car they made fun of at the start of the race is always great too.

Re: Tuner Appreciation Thread: POST YOUR 5 FAVORITE TUNES!!!

    1. SW2's AEGIS Skyline R34 Nur
By far the best Skyline I've ever driven.  Not only that, but it's the first car that put me in the top 100 on the freerun boards.  I first put it at #94 on Motegi West, then it became the fastest Skyline on Motegi East with my time of 1:17.19x #51.

    2. AG "Kruz Missile" AWE Tuning S4
The multiplayer stats speak for themselves:
    Total Winnings: 386,878 credits
    Number of Victories: 45
    Number of Podiums: 52
    Number of Races: 55
Great car on just about every track.  Also had this car in the top 100 on several tracks before beating those times with other cars.

    3. Pothole's Dodge Viper SRT-10 from the 2008 New Years Tuning Competition
One of the best Viper's I've ever driven.  Loads of grip and and great fun.

    4. Romituned's SEAT Cupra GT
One the most unique S class cars ever released.  Romi's clean livery makes this car even pleasant to behold, but stay out of the walls or you'll be seeing patches of the hideous stock livery. ::shudder::  If this car had a little more power, it would be a Saleen killer on the leaderboards.  It still pulls out victories on short tracks.

    5. SW2's Renault Clio B700
An apology to SW2 for stealing their promo pictures.  Stick out tongue [:P]  This car is great fun and very stable around Suzuka and any other short to medium track.  And that livery alone is worth more than the original purchase price.

Like with the others, there are several cars I could not include because of being in Gearbox.  The Bad Boy Vettes would be right there with Pothole's Viper, for one.  Meattuned's B700 '04 WRX STi and Mad Tunerz B700 Evo X are also good cars.

Re: Tuner Appreciation Thread: POST YOUR 5 FAVORITE TUNES!!!

Here's my 5, in no particular order.  I just can't label them in order lol.

Lumi, you're right, old rivalries never die, and your first car that began it all is still one of my favorites.  I've got a yellow version, and the blue and white LE versions (and i also made myself an orange one too by changing up some colors. Stick out tongue [:P]  those layers are hard to sort through lol).  I hope the rivalry continues, it's been a lot of fun thus far.

This is one of my favorite paintjobs in my garage.  It really shines on the track.

When racing competitively online in A Class, this is the only car that is not my tune that I will trust to win me the race.  The feel of the car under speed is just so good.

I love this car because it's shiny Big Smile [:D].

The Kruz Missile Bushido Philosophy is one of my favorite cars to pull out in an online race, because not only does it put me in the lead but once I'm in the lead i can switch to the chase camera for the straights and look at the paintjob.
