    BMW setup A-class

    2005 BMW M3 E46 - A Class - Posted by: rubber dukky

This BMW is an overall every circuit car. It posts up pretty fast times when you get used to it. All you need is finesse with the throttle. The car was tuned for the controller but may work well with the wheel. ALL THE SETUP NUMBERS THAT ARE IN BLUE IS USED FOR SHORTER TRACKS. Basically, the car needs some minor modifications for tracks like Mugello, Laguna Seca, Tsukuba, etc. Save the red setup as "long track" and the blue setup as "short track" so that the car can be competitive on all circuits. Any setup that isn't marked in blue is the same as the red. enjoy =]

Thank you for choosing rubber dukky tuning. If you happen to improve upon my setup, please inform me if you want. The BMW wasn't intended to be the fastest on one given track but any track you put it on. Please reply to this post of any suggestions and if you like the setup, suggest what car I should tune next for the racing setup database. For my next car I shall try the BMW M3 E30 for short tracks. Thanks again. All tuning was thought up and put into account by rubber dukky (me).

    Re: BMW setup A-class

so they are'nt forza parts but the last of each of the BMW body parts is adjustable.....and i moved the fuel system from sport to race and it got to 850....you might want to change that....

    Re: BMW setup A-class

Hey, sorry I couldn't answer your question sooner. Yes, the fuel system had to be on racing and what I meant about the "forza" bodykit was the high-end adjustable BMW parts. I have just revised it. Thank you for spotting these errors. I hope I didn't confuse to many people.

    Re: BMW setup A-class

yeah i figured it out....and i really like the car.  I have to run it with traction control on, and it gets squirrly out of corners sometimes, but it is fun to drive, and i had a really sweet warsteiner racing livery on one that just needed a tune to comeplete the package.  thanks a lot man.  Got any decent laptimes with it?

I'll have to give this a go tomorrow as it's getting a little late here.. I was about to tune one of these myself, so I'll use this as a starting point. Looks good!

The OP is on my FL and this car is a "Spanking Machine".  In his hands anyway.

    Re: BMW setup A-class

Yeah. You gotta have finesse with the throttle coming out of the corners. My laptimes are 2.07:6xx on Sebring. 1.22:8xx on Road Atlanta. And 1.52:9xx on Mugello with the better handling setup. I'm building a 997 GT3 currently and so far its faster than the BMW on long tracks but not as versatile.

    Re: BMW setup A-class

wow.  I mean i like driving the car for fun but i cant get anywhere close with those times.  do you race w/o abs?

edit actually i run a 1.51.7xx on mugello with a tt, but your other two times are two second faster than my PB.....i usually race s class though

    Re: BMW setup A-class

yeah, I run completely unassisted. That is why I chose this car to put on the setup database because its fairly easy to drive and usable on all tracks. Im sure if I were to put the 997 GT3 up for grabs, I would be getting complaints because it takes a different driving style to use it. Anyways, TKR Rodgod and I were both tuning the BMW and TVR with our methods and then applied our own individual technique to it.

Any suggestions on other cars to put up? it keeps me occupied when playing Forza.

ANY non-leaderboard car.  also, since most people who use the free tunes probably do it because of credit woes, I suggest cars that one procures from progressing through the career, you know, like cars that most people have but probably dont have tunes for
