    Rinoseat review

Ive bought a rinoseat a couple of months ago, and thought id share my thoughts with you, in case anyone else is interested in it!

    what is it?
racing cockpit - but considerably cheaper than most.

i bought it, since i was fed up with not having something stable to play FM2 on... and i wanted something light (so i could move it out of the way) , comfortable and not too expensive.

i have to say before i got it, i was sceptical, from the pictures it looked very lightweight, and flimsy - and all the talk to using your weight to stabilise it was worrying...
but to be honest, there didnt seem many alternatives, most others were bulky, heavy and expensive - so i thought for less than 200euro id 'risk it'

It turned up in less than a week!
in a small package... which started my worries to surface again!
but then I opened the package and the fun started,

inside I found all the instructions, parts, and tools needed to assemble - and for the next 30mins i had great fun!
... this is how self assembly should be, forget the frustration of Ikea furniture.
this stuff was great, everything aligned correctly, bolts and nuts were of good quality, so it all just slotted together so nicely. i was really pleasantly surprised.

i did have a small problem with one part, however that was later resolved with Rino (who responded very quickly)... apparently caused by different versions of the xbox360 wheel.

    in use,
its been great, ive used it for hours on end (i play usually for 2-3 hours), and been very comfortable - its very stable, very little movement (actually, compared to the xbox wheel its solid :)),
its worth spending some time, setting the chair up, to get the height of the wheel and the pedal length , just right... then it does feel quite immersive :)

oh, and on my other criteria, its light, and can easily be moved out of the way when not in use ( i cable tied, the wheels psu to seat - so just unplug from the mains and away it goes)

    generally,
i reckon excellent value for money, great build quality... just wish id got it sooner :)

anyone else got one, what do you think?

btw, a disclaimer, im not a pro reviewer... just a guy who bought this with his own hard earned cash. got no association with rino, but do think when someone sells a good product - a pat on the back is due :)

feel free to ask questions, there are quite a few pictures on the web, but if you want i can post some of my setup :)

    Re: Rinoseat review

Thanks for taking the time to write this little review, a friend of mine was thinking of buying a rinoseat, but had never heard of anyone who owned one. This'll help with his doubts.

    Thanks

    JB
