HLC Week 27 DLC Voting results are in!

This week we will use the Evo X for the HLC.  Initially I indicated that the car would have to be run in the class it starts in.  Unfortunately this starts at a PI of 546.  With nothing to play with we're going to be upping that to a PI restriction of 700.  Please bear with us as we try a couple of things with how we set this up.  Those that wish to use the car stock or C550 should be able to do so.

I told Landin he could decide between Motegi and Motegi East.  Look for it!

As an aside... I think I'll try to get ShadowBoxing to do a Motegi Evo X... maybe I'll even see if he'll sell one to the winner.

Well, before controversy erupts again, it should be noted that the tire glitch can be done on the Evo X.  Haven't built anything yet but if this car is good, it has the potential to bring the glitch into B and A class.  Would be nice to get a decision from T10 on this before this week's challenge starts.

It can be done on any car that comes with street tires as the stock tire.

Tire glitch should not be a problem on Motegi. Its only going to be a handicap on the car.

Actually, with the car being AWD, I think it can do nothing but gain performance with the glitch.  AWD makes the difference in tires neglible, and atleast based on my initial legit build, would allow adding either a width upgrade, or more HP.

Haha, Georgia tries to stay out of the random 30 and you make him a special winner.  Priceless!

I was surprised to see nothing in the PPR addressing the tire glitch.  I guess they are either ignoring it altogether, haven't decided what to do or simply don't care.  I guess I'll try to stay out of the top 50 so I don't get anymore hate mail Email [E]

Honestly...I would rather hear how many HD big screens and ridiculous number of X boxes they have in their office than something as silly as the tire glitchAngry [:@]

Re: HLC Week 27 DLC Voting results are in!

I would like to congratulate Alex Jones aka "al jonesen" on getting a random 30 car and coming up with a great tune on his own. He had a 1:11.9 and I lowered my slow time by 4 seconds with it. We both use the MS wheel.

I only had a 1:14.1 in Hot Laps with it, but It sure was better than mine. I may have gotten in the 1:13's if I had used the wide turn at the end of the pits and the tire glitch. lol

Instead of more new cars Turn 10, how about fixing some flaws in the game.

I'm kinda excited and looking forward to racing with a lot of you fast HLC racers in the C550 Lexus SI300 Spec Series Tourney next week.

Congrats on your time Tomcat, not an easy car/track combo to drive.  The wider turn would have been a benefit to you for sure, you could have gained 2 or 3 tenths.  As that other thread said time and time again, the tire glitch was not being done by the top guys.  I know you are a true racer, and would never use an unfair advantage.  However, it is statements like the one I bolded that lead other people who don't know any of us to think that we do.  I am sure that you did not mean to insinuate that the top guys were using the glitch.

Once again, since Turn 10 has ignored the issue, TRC has decided as a team not to use the tire swap for this weeks HLC.  This issue needs to be addressed though, so please, Landin or Che, at least let us know that you are aware of what is going on and are thinking about it?

I don't know which way to go with this car.More power or more grip?I do know that it would be a big help if i could replay the top 50's laps so I can see where it all go'es wrong for me.

I'm not sure if I would say it was or wasn't what I expected.  Everyone was extremely laid back and approachable.  I had a great time there.  Some of the stuff that I saw was just mind boggling what goes into putting some of this stuff together.  I have to say I was impressed as to how many of them actually recognized me from the forums or from the scoreboards.  Made me feel a bit important even if it was just for a day.

Why wouldn't they recognize you from the boards, Solo? Your picture is right there under your user name! (lol). Anyway, teach me to be a good driver/tuner so I can get in the fray with the rest of the big guns :)
