yep i requested that too in a thread somewhere here too.

Plus dont pick up any 30-40 seconds tracks, not appropriate for an high challenge as the HLC is

Re: Feedback on Season 2 and Suggestions for Season 3 HLC

This would have to do with a restrictions menu. I dont know if u can do it within the HLC.

I would like to see a HLC with a specific car or cars that can be set a little more reality or simm based. Rathes than slip and slide around the track can we work Grip tuned cars into a HLC in the lower classes D thru S. One way to do that is require Race Compound tires. There are other ways im sure. Would just like to see some more Simm  type competitions.

As of now the random 30 are picked form the top 100, right?I'd think that the group of people who succeeds in getting into the top 100 is a very small group and that most of these probably do not need to worry about cars anymore (correct me if i'm wrong). Why not pick the random 30 from everybody that makes the cut... (JM2C)

This is the current structure for the Random 30:

15 Winners from the top 100.
10 Winners from the top 200.
    5   Winners from below 200.

So it is still possible to be selected even if you cant make the top 100.

That is where the times are the closest.  The R3 challenge at Suzuka was one of the most interesting ones IMO.

Letting us know week by week also lets you concentrate on one week at a time.  I wouldn't want to know in advance about which cars and tracks we are using.  It gives the guys not on teams a better chance to compete.

I would like to see a challange on Sunset Infield Reverse or Maple Reverse (preferably A class or above as they are a little longer).  I realize we just had on Maple forward (C class), but I dont think we have ran any of the Sunset's in awhile.

Re: Feedback on Season 2 and Suggestions for Season 3 HLC

Last season was awesome, I'm not too bothered about the car selection, I'll try to drive anything. Next season I'd like to see less ovals, more test tracks and perhaps a swift trip to the ring? Oh, an Motegi too! For me, the longer the track the more entertaining the challenge is.

    no test tracks :)

i would like to see the points extended beyond the top 50 but i guess that would mean more number crunching

1.Yes, i agree, only 115 players got points in last season (without multitaggers only ~110players from ~10000players)
2.I don't think so, they needs only 1guy who know how Excell works. Calculation 5rounds x Top1000 it's like 2hours for me (CTRL+C, +V, etc.)

ALSO: ASK ELITE PLAYERS WHAT THEY WANT.
We needs real competition, much more Elite Players. Quoted from other topic:
    Greeksniper:
I knew I should of ran more than 1 lap on the last week. I could of come 2nd. lol
    Greeksniper played seriously 4 from 5 HLC weeks, BackOne 3 from 5, Enzo 1/5, Picaso 0, GEL 0, Cam 0, Neo Jake 0, Deano 0, o liberty o 0, Latty 2/5 etc.
Clan TDR got 8th place, it's laughable. TDR it's only 1 clan who can beat R2P.
Simply: ask Greeksniper, XcamX and Picaso what they want (Picaso want reward $10000:).

Re: Feedback on Season 2 and Suggestions for Season 3 HLC

Yes, please announce all 5 tracks and cars at week one.  Some of us need something to do during stock car week.  There's more to this series than just running the challenges.  A lot of people enjoy tuning the cars too.

Classes C thru S.  Maybe some mid PI challenges.

Re: Feedback on Season 2 and Suggestions for Season 3 HLC

Yeah I think announcing the challenges in week 1 would be more fair to people not in car clubs.  Its difficult to tune a car by yourself in one week, whereas teams have multiple people to work on setups.  Giving advance notice will also allow the tuning garages to get involved and make a little money too.

Another thing that I would like to see, and I've mentioned this before, is to assign each car and track a number then use a random number generator to select the combinations for each week.  After each randomized probability matrices are extracted through the quantum time/space field, you simply cross off those numbers and omit them if they come up again during that particular season.  Once you've assigned all the cars and tracks numbers, it would be ready to use for the next season as well.  I think we can get some very interesting combinations this way and nobody will feel the combinations are chosen based on personal preferences.

    **Edit**

List of things I see in this thread that I really like:

    1. Randomly generated car/class combinations (of course I like this one hehe) - Pale Rider
    2. The request of the schedule for all 5 weeks combination posed on week1 - Hellbr1ng3r
    3. Plus dont pick up any 30-40 seconds tracks (only if random car/class suggestion is not implemented) - IPR DriveR E76
    4. require Race Compound tires (as part of the restrictions for any given week) - Bike
    5. points extended beyond the top 50 - TRC TurboRacer
    6. Maybe some mid PI challenges - R2P BradColts
    7. DLC Promotion (1 week each season with DLC priced at 25% of original cost for that week) - Pale Rider

    Keep the ideas coming!

No need to keep it R class to keep muscle out, just put a horsepower limit in the restrictions.

Another thing I would like to add to my previous post is that I think we should keep all the stock cars to A, S or U Class.  If I wanted to drive a stock Neon or Focus, I'd just go buy one.

One more thing I guess lol, to promote the DLC we get I think it would be a good idea to have one week each season dedicated to DLC.  Turn10 could take a particular car pack and track, reduce the price to say 25% of the original cost for the week of the HLC.  I think this would get more people to download the extra content and after they see how much fun the new cars/tracks can be, perhaps they'll go ahead and download the remaining DLC at full price.

Re: Feedback on Season 2 and Suggestions for Season 3 HLC

I think R2 on Maple Short would be a great track.  The guy in first sent me hate mail just because I got into the top 10,  and I suck.  He said that I could run that track until my hands fell off, and I would never beat him, no one would.  Any takers? I'm talking to you R2P, IPR, TDR etc... I would love to see his time get pushed back to 25th after a HLC.

Edit:  He also got really mad when TRC NOOB took first from him, starting sending him hate mail too.  I challenge anyone here to beat NOSVIPER on Maple Short in R2.  Anyone from Forza 1 will know him better by the name SvB Zero...................And after R2, why not take his R1 as well?  Just be ready for the barrage of messages.  I am probably going to get banned for this, becase he will use his 10 gamertags to leave me feedback.  Turn 10 employees, bear witness.  If I get banned in the next week or so, it is because of this guy and his dozen gamertagsWhisper [:-*]

Re: Feedback on Season 2 and Suggestions for Season 3 HLC

LOL.  Rule # 1 never brag about a number one time.  You'll see it drop to 5th in a blink of an eye.  Rule # 2 if you must brag and talk trash about a time make sure it on a track that's longer than 32 seconds.  Rule # 3:  Like Factory said, pray they never run a HLC with that track/class combo.  Your time go ba-bye

Back on topic. I like Pale Riders idea of a random car and track selector.  Maybe add modifiers for the more popular tracks.  Or eliminate certain combos all together.  (Example if car = Gt40 and track = Boomslang then recalulate.)
