Lots of early confusion (and complaints) about the new Scoreboard Filter, so until a full description comes from Turn10, let's post our tips on how it CAN be used.
First note: It only filters the top 1000 times.
A lot of people are saying "what good is that? I'm not in the top 1000"!
Well, it can be useful anyway:
Say I want to build a new B-Class car to run on Motegi Road Course. I'm thinking "hmmm... I like the Acura NSX - should I try that car"? So I start paging through the Hot Lap scoreboard... 25 pages, and I haven't seen one yet. Hmmm... Click Customize Results, select Acura NSX, and hit Run Filter. Now I see there is only 1 NSX in the top 1000 - at #966. Probably not the best car for me to start working with. I also like the MINI Cooper S (because it's so similar to the NSX - heh heh), so, let's filter on that car. Bingo! 44 in the top 1000, ranging from #60 to #984. I'll give the MINI a try!
This also shows me what the top times are for the MINI, giving me an idea of what I'll be up against if I try using it in multiplayer racing.
Who's got the next useful tip?
