Drop d Tuning Shop *OPEN AGAIN*

I have opened the shop again.  I couldn't stay away from tuning.  Right now I am not fulfilling requests for back order cars.  I will be doing that soon though!

    Thanks!!

Allow me to introduce myself.  I go by the handle idrvfast on XBL.  I am 30 years old and I have been a racing/car junkie for as long as I can remember.  I have spent many years sim racing on the computer, as well as playing racing titles on the Playstation and Xbox and Xbox 360.  I have some real world knowledge on how to tune a car to get consistent performance from it.

Dd Tuning is dedicated to bringing the Forza2 community grip tuned cars that handle consistently on any track.

As you can see from the feedback below, you are getting top quality tuning from Dd Tuning.

I have decided to consolidate the other posts into this 1st post to have it resemble more of a catalog.

    Drop D Tuning consists of:
    idrvfast - Owner/Tuner/Tester/Somewhat Painter

Nice Civic.  I don't know why you would charge people less than your cost to make the car though, that just doesn't make sense when you'll sell just as many for the regular price of a D-Class car, 100-200k

Thank you for the advice.  I will alter the pricing to something I feel is aggressive enough to bring people in.  I guess it does make sense to try to make credits on the work I do.

I will make them available through the auction house, mainly because I can't think of any other way of getting them to people and getting the credits in exchange.  Am I missing something?

Once I get 5 total requests I will work with those indivuduals on getting the car that they want, colors and so forth.

    Re: Drop d Tuning Shop

I am working with Starbug21 right now in the 1st transaction for this car.  I will be PM'ing the rest of you soon to work on geting you your cars.

On a seperate note, Dd Tuning is looking for a test driver, the perk of being the test driver will be you get to keep the car you are testing, all that I would want in return is feedback about the cars performance so I can tweak it to make it better.  The qualifications of the driver would only need to be that you have decent position on the leaderboards, I'm not looking for #1, but I am looking for someone with time to help me build this shop into something respectable.

Feel free to drop me a PM if you are interested in the Test Driver spot.

The Solstice is coming along very well, although it is a bit tail happy at the moment.  I am working on ironing that out.

Thanks for the responses so far.  I was afraid I would be laughed out of town.

    Re: Drop d Tuning Shop

Starbug has his car.  He told me he would leave feedback.

Would it be easier for me to put 5 or 6 up on the AH with a 95,000k buyout?  Or, would you want one on one service?

It really depends on your preference... With the positive feedback coming in about the car I think you might be able to throw up 4-5 in the AH on 24 hours and be able to get them sold.  I would like one and will  be sending you a friend request.  Either AH or coordinated sale is cool with me.  I am hoping this will be my new non scoreboard D-Class machine.

    Re: Drop d Tuning Shop

I will be putting 3 of them up on the AH today.  It is 0900 EST.  I hope to have them up by 1200 or 1300 EST.

I would like to thank DrNick0 and Starbug21 for the feedback.  I was hoping they would handle as well as I thought they did. :)

On another note, look for a post here about the Pontiac Solstice.  I sent it out to be washed and waxed for it's photo shoot this morning. :)  I have used it to beat my fastest time at Tsukuba Short, Maple Valley Short and Twin Ring Motegi West.

Again check the AH later on for a few Civics!

    Re: Drop d Tuning Shop

I am extremely happy with this purchase.  This car is unbelievable in the corners.  You have to try and make the rear wheels spin.

Now I am no hot-lapper, but I was very happy with the times I put up on Tsukuba and Boomslang.  Especially on Boomslang where you have more options on the lines you take.  I was hitting the first turn at different speeds and angles to try and optimize the cars performance.  Well, there just wasn't a bad line.

Then I realized that the STM was on and I had to go out and do it all over again.  The car was just as sticky and the increased quickness helped me improve my times.

I ran about 25-30 laps on each.

Tsukuba - 1:02.614 (I need to work on this one)

    Boomslang - 31.212 (would be #619)

Thanks idrvfast for a great car that sticks like glue.
