Release Date: Turn 10 is the developer, the publisher sets the release date based off of how well the game goes through the certification process and the game disks are pressed. 

North American release date is 29-May-07.
European release date is 08-June-07.
Australian IGN is claiming a release date of 14-June-07 for their market.
Unconfirmed other region release date, I've seen different values for different countries ranging from 24-May-07 to 08-June-07.

Demo: The demo is now available as of 2AM PDT, 10-May-2007.  Each regions Marketplace will be responsible for when the content shows up like all other Marketplace content, and the featured track will be Mugello Short.  The cars you can use are:

Limited Edition: Limited Edition content will include three cars that will not be allowed to go on the auction house or to be gifted.  WPR 45 confirms that the US will not be getting an LCE version.

Then, there's the lingering question of the Forza Motorsport 2 Limited Collector's Edition, which includes a soundtrack CD, a special making-of book (which yours truly contributed to), as well as nicer packaging and different cover art. On top of all that, the LCE comes with a code that allows you to download three exclusive cars available only to those who own the LCE. While the Forza 2 LCE has been confirmed for Asia and Europe, I'm sorry to say that it will not be coming to the U.S. Was it a Turn 10 studio decision? Of course not. When it comes to retail matters, there are many internal and external forces at work in the channel. Unfortunately, it was decided early on that the U.S. wouldn't get the Forza 2 LCE. Why? You'll just have to chalk it up to one of life's great mysteries, I guess. So the question is, just how badly do you want the three exclusive cars ('06 Ford Saleen Mustang S281 E, '03 Ferrari Challenge Stradale, '06 Subaru Impreza S204) and how far will you go to track down a LCE?

The gamestop here in Beaufort, SC is releasing it on the 30th. Also seen in the best buy ad in the paper that they also are releasing it on the 30th. I think like many others have stated in other threads through that it probably depends on how close your game store is to a distribution center. Plus there will be no mail delivery tomorrow so that is the other reason you probably won't see it till the 30th.

I'm getting my copy from Gamefly so I will not get mine until June 2, argh!

Is this serious? The three cars you get with Collectors Edition really are the Ferrari, Subaru and Saleen Mustang? They're in the official car list, so what the hell is exclusive about those cars?

The Best Buy and Circuit City ads in Tulsa, OK both said the game would be available by 2pm on the 30th.

I work in Geek Squad at Bestbuy in Green Bay Wisconsin, and we wont have it untill the 30th.  Probably the same for all bestbuys.

i hope i dont get dicked over cuz i pre-ordered AGES ago when it first was able to be pre-ordered ( it was luck i was in an eb-games ( which now was bought out by gamestop)and the guy is like would you like to pre-order for any of these games ( hands me a list) and i said forza 2 and hes like ok how much ( i dont remember) but they were bought out so im hoping all pre-orders made were transfered over if not... i will be one very unsatisfied customer.. and will probably throw something..... and then get kicked out of the mall and have to go in wearing a wig and those glasses that have a fake nose attached.. only to raise suspicions by the gaurds who will confront me and throw me out again thinking im robbing the place. ::takes breathe:: wow umm yea.. anyway HOPE I CAN GET IT wen it comes out cuz then it will rox0r all of everyones's b0x0|`s YEA YE***

Gamestop owns ebgames. They bought them out some time ago.

If members of the video game industry could figure out what a street date is, we wouldn't have these questions.  Maybe someone should talk to EA, they never seem to have a problem with street dates. Please someone correct me if I am wrong, I just fail to understand the diffuclty in using street dates versus giving out release dates, cause I have worked in retail for a lot of years and I know first hand the frustration this creates on both sides. The retailers are bombarded with calls and frustrated customers, and then from the gamer side I also now the frustration of not understanding when I will be able to get my copy.
