No one's going to address the issue from Turn 10.  They fall into the EA group...giving customers *** and not doing anything about it.......well, some of us, but it's still ********.  Why hasn't anything been done about this?  Do they want to go outta business???

Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.

Ok, so I'm having a similar freezing issue. Going through my garage doesn't lead to freezing (albeit, I haven't progressed very far), but it's when trying to load back to the career menu after a race or during a race when I get the freeze/disc unreadable error.

So, the only solution I can fathom is sending in my 360 for a replacement, and I'm wondering if that really does solve the problem, as I'm not going to $100+ if it won't work. So ya, anyone who's had the same or a similar issue with Failza that had it resolved by sending in their 360, please let me know.

This is most likely the problem of scratches on your disk.

At first, that's what I believed was the problem, but my current Forza is brand new. I've gone through 3 previous copies in a matter of a week, all of which encountered the same problem. 2 were pre-owned, so I thought it was scratch-related, but then the last two have been brand new. So, that's why I'm thinking, well, hoping that it's my console. I kind of don't think it is, though, because of the fact there's been over 900 cases of similiar freezing issues, and I can't really believe that 900+ consoles would be deffective. Plus this is the only game I've had these problems with.

But ya, anymore insight into this issue from others that have experienced it would be great, as I have enjoyed what little playtime I've gotten out of Forza, so I really want to get it fixed.

Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.

I encountered similar problems but when I purchased my second disk, they all but disappeared. However, Forza 2 is riddled with glitches and will crash inconsistently - no matter how many copies of Forza you purchase. Judge the situation against other games before taking further action.

For example, are you having this problem with other titles? If you are, its probably worth looking at a console replacement.

I'm tired of hearing the "your disk is obviously scratched" answer. It's not the scratches, it's the game. Forza is the only game that freezes. New, or used, doesnt' matter.

So I'm totally screwed then? There's nothing I can do to resolve the problem?

Re: @ Turn 10, PLEASE address the freezing issue.

It could also be a corrupt save but at the end of the day I think you've got 2 choices. Wipe all your forza data and start again OR try and play the warranty card with MS. If you purchased it from a high street retailer and you're within warranty, you may be able to swap it directly (just tell them its crashing all the time.) You could try the same trick with MS for a replacement.

I'm not expert, but when my entire game save became corrupted and deleted itself, i purchased a new game, and started again from scratch.

Here's some of the problems I encountered:

It's none of that.  It's Turn 10's lazy ass not doing anything about the DLC causing freezing issues.  I didn't even get this freezing ******** until I downloaded the new cars.

I didn't even download any DLC...  I just bought the game, booted it up, finished a race and then bam, as it tries to load back up to the menu it always freezes. =/

    Hey,

I just wanted to step in here and let everyone know that we are aware of this situation but the only known solution to it, if your disc is not scratched, is to either scroll the garage slowly or to use the garage sort features.

The question of why don’t we fix this? Well it is because the problem runs deep and is beyond the scope of a normal patch.

But I did want to pop in let you know that your words were not falling on deaf ears. Once again it is regrettable that we do not have a better solution to this problem.

    Thanks.

Hm, does the same go for my problem? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that can't get back to the career menu/any menu after a race due to freezing. So could you address that issue, please?

Have you even read the thread? The "garage freeze" is the least of our worries....

How about a response to why the game freezes elsewhere in-game, as asked by almost all of us in this thread or countless other around the net... or is the lack of answer due again "because the problem runs deep and is beyond the scope of a normal patch."

    FAIL.

And you wonder why Turn 10 never responds to many of the questions users have.  They can't win when they say nothing and they can't win when they do if the real answer isn't what you wanted to hear.

With all due respect, "your disc is scratched" is not the "real answer."

All I'm asking for is an honest answer... there are far too many people reporting brand new boxes crashing on Forza as well as reconditioned units and older ones for it to be my disc or my box.
