Yeah it's pretty annoying but i'm kinda sick of the game now plus my broadband is just woefully bad so i'm playing GT3 again while waiting on a fix for this, now that's a game i enjoyed!

Can you guys give me some more information regarding this?  When does it happen?

If you are using any third party back-up device then you are forced to delete the account.  This is how duping is done, so users who know about back-up devices are most likely duping cars.

Well originally what happened to me was i had a full garage of cars and was asked to help sell cars, i didn't want to sell any so i put some up for auction at high prices so i could collect them later, after that i went offline, later i came back on to recieve the car i was to copy and sell but when i tried to recieve it i was told i had been banned, i left it at that and came back to the game the next morning and found i was no longer banned but got the message about my profile being tampered with and i had to delete my gamesave, which i did and started a new game yesterday, earlier on i was banned again but now it seems fine...I don't know if the issues are related or not but it happened on the same day first time

well heres what seemed to happen to me, i dunno if its the actual cause but i had a car on auction house the night before with a locked paint job, don't freak i made it myself, anyways i pulled the car back off after having second thoughts about selling it. then went about my buisness and drove the car in some drift practices and what not, well the next day i was wanting to check the auction house for some real purchase's and then i got the message it says if i remember correctly, Warning you have broken the xbox live terms and services, you are un able to use this xbox live feature and that was for the auction house i later learned that i got the same message for gifting cars. so i deleted my whole thing and started over.

seems like we have something in common we both used the AH right before this happend

Yep very dodgy, the cars i put up had no paintjobs or anything, losing the cars and money i had sucked

Alright I have done some reasearch and this is what ive found.

These two messages are completely unrelated.  The message that shows up saying that you have tampered with your account is the result of people using third party devices too transfer game files.

The banned message is something completely different.  It can appear due to various network problems, like the Xbox Live server not being able to upload information properly.  This can be the resut of a bad connection, or an overly restrictive router.

The best thing to do is continue trying, but be patient with the system.  If your connection speed is slower then load up your profile and wait in the main screen.  Give it some time before attempting to join any features that require xbox live.

I haven't used a third party device but i'm guessing if i buy a car from someone who has used one it's gonna affect me.

The banned message thing makes sense to me, my connection is pretty bad.

my brother doesn't have a third party device, game is saved only on the xbox hard drive. he bought a couple of cars from the buy car function in the carrer section and went to gift them to me but it said he cannot gift as his profile has been tampered with . really confused!! took him so long to get to level 35 and only has 500k credits but really don't want him to have to start all over again.

The "tampered" message should only impact users who have used a third party device.  If you have purchased a car that has been duped it should not have any impact on your account.

Would it possibly because the xbox was turned off while it was saving?

seems like there maybe something wrong with the detection on this as i am 110% certain that nothing has ever been plugged into the 360 execpt for the play and charge kit. only other thing is could it relate to the fact that my brother bought 5 of the exact same cars (ac cobra) from the shelby garage ?? he was sending them to me to tune so i could keep one, send one back and send the others to friends once tuned. could the system be detecting the identical cars and think they have been duped when they have actually been bought. after all the cars would all be identical!!

Only asking because I've been fearful of something happening to my XBox.  It's been sounding like it's going to punch a hole in my cabinet lately and I'd rather not have to reassemble my car collection, so the Server Admin in me wants multiple copies of my save.  Would a memory card impact this?  Can you even transfer a Forza game to a memory card?

Also, are you considering the transfer kit from the 20GB to the 120GB a "3rd Party"?  It seems like that would do basically the same thing.  If that was the case, anyone who upgraded to an Elite would have to start over.

I don't understand, I get the message saying my profile has been tampered with and I can't use the AH or gift any cars =S I havnt used a memory card or any other device to transfer my save, the only 3rd party device I can think of that I've used is the plug and play.

I demand an answer from some one at T10.

I am having the same problem tonight, earlier today it was working fine, buying and selling cars as usual.  Now this evening it says I have violated the Xbox Live service agreement. It's annoying that there are loads of porno cars and other questionable stuff on the AH that I have never created or bought and yet I get banned for no reason at all.  Turn 10 better fix this issue quick if they want people to keep playing this game.

Yep, I've just got the same thing this morning.  Unbelievable!!!  I've sent an email off to Forza asking about this.  The only thing I can think of is I've just changed my internet provider in the weekend and I've had dodgy service for a couple of days and problems configuring a new router.  Perhaps this caused a problem that FM2 people thought was cheating?!

Yeah Same *** happend to me last night... and i know that i havent done anyting wrong.. like bying cars whit naked chicks and racist ********... I cant go to auctionhouse or gift cars sence yesterday..

Need help whit this..
