A '49 Ford - 3 spd and a flathead V8. I was just 14 and my Dad and I used it as an "educate my dumb*ssed kid about cars" project. Once it was running, I used to beg my Mom to drive it to the store and stuff so I could ride in it. Used to get my jollies driving it back and forth in the drive way and staying up late at night with the JC Whitney catalog, dreaming of Offenhauser heads and 3 x 2 setups...
From a Forza standpoint - I have favorites, but nothing points its way to a memorable first car. The process of moving thru the career mode requires that you get involved with many cars right off the bat. A single first car will not get you very far.

The first car I had was a 1986 Trans Am, Black Sapphire Metallic. The color name is misleading because it was actually blue in direct sunlight, anytime else it looked black as night. Now I'm driving an 86 Trans Am not too dissimilar from the first. Only the color and this one is slightly modded. In Forza my first car was a Volkswagen Corrado SLC. I put it in D1, took it to the Nurburgring on Live the day of release, and won my first race with that car. She's still in the garage too.

Is the topic supposed to be about Forza or real life? Forza : I started with the IS 300. I sold most of the cars I won and the first car I bought was a CTS-V, and I installed a supercharger right away. I was instantly hooked when I heard the supercharger's sound and tried to keep the car on the track with stock tires... I knew Forza was the best racing game ever for me! But since the CTS-V wasn't great for racing, I purchased a Dodge Stealth when I had enough money. I still play with the Stealth a lot. In real life : I still have my first car (got it last summer), it's a 1997 Ford Escort wagon. Slow as hell, but I love having a lot fo room since I often go wakeboarding/snowboarding with friends. Plus, the handbrake works well and we got pretty long winters up here ![Wink [;)]](/emoticons/emotion-5.gif) .

In Forza, the RSX.
IRL, it was a cruck or a trar. It was a 1976 El Camino that I bought for almost nothing when I was 15. It was eaten alive with rust in the rear fenderwells. My Dad said he would get it sprayed for me if I did the bodywork. I refer to that era as "the summer of bondo". It actually turned out OK. The guy who bought it lived nearby and had the thing for 20 years. I never did see it rust through. I probably added a good 50 lbs to the weight of it, continually applying a thin coat and sanding til the whole thing was re-shaped. We sold it before I ever drove it.
We used the money to get a 1966 Pontiac Le Mans convertible w/ a 4 speed. It was a half dead drag car. After much effort it became a normal car again, yellow and pretty quick. I barely drove it on the streets before I sold it. It was replaced with a 1965 El Camino w/a 283 & 4 speed. I kept that for a couple of years then found culture in the form of a 1976 280Z. I came alot closer to hurting myself in that car than I ever did in a muscle car.
A small but vocal customer...

Re: Your first car
Forza: Chose Europe, started with the Audi TT, wiped out the competition.
Real life: In 1987, I got my grandfather's hand-me-down 1974 Buick Century. The thing was a 2-ton monster, but had a 350ci V8 that fortunately could power it. Of course, the suspension was shot, the tires were pretty worn, and the driver's side floorboard had rusted out and had a piece of sheet metal under the carpet, but it was free so I couldn't really complain. ![Wink [;)]](/emoticons/emotion-5.gif)

In June of 2000 I bought my first car.... a 1996 Chevrolet Beretta Z26
http://img409.imageshack.us/img409/8113/2d1d6nd.jpg
I had worked three jobs for six months straight to afford it.... paid $11,000 cash about a week before my 18th birthday. Was absolutely MINT with only 46k on the clock, a one owner car, always garaged, babied, etc. I put 65K on it in ONE YEAR!!!

Forza: Eagle Talon
Real life: 1993 Ford Probe (4cyl, 5sp). it was actually pretty quick and the previous owner had done a little tweaking, i was able to run with the 6cyl Probe GT's which run 15 sec 1/4 mi. Got too many speeding tickets so i sold it to my little brother. now its being completely transformed... weight reductions, dropped in a rebuilt GT engine and trans, replaced pretty much every part on the car, put in some performance suspension and headers, and many other small mods here and there. it won't be putting out much more hp than stock (15-20) but it weighs about 200-400 lbs less. i'm hoping it'll run high 13's... BEFORE any more engine mods are done! :)
with no power comes no responsibility

Forza: VW R32
Real Life: I was 17, a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. 302 V-8, I put a diff, and a 4 barrel carb on her. Man, my other 2 cars have been fast, but this car was just a beast, and that sound, intoxicating. And the burn outs, ohh the burn outs!

way cool. I am 15, (if all goes well, i get my liscence on the 22nd of july) I am going to get my fathers '82 Olds Cutlass Supreme. It has been sitting in the garage for a good while. It had a 350 w/ a 4 barrel, cam, intake, exausht, pistons and more. Its in very very good conditon,(excpet the non-running motor) it was repainted (in white), and the interiror re-carpeted, right before he stopped drving it (because he purchased an '04 GTO) so the paint is in perfrect conditon as well as the interior. Its also got a non-factory dif and tranny as well
We are rebulding the motor right now. We just got another 350 small block for it(from an older truck), it will be bored out to ~ a 383, its a 4 bolt main (as aposed to the previoue motors 2 bolt.) We will be putting many of the previous motors parts, but not all, i am not sure what is planned for it in terms of other specifications as of yet, but things are moving quikly.
I cant wait, although i am almost scared to drive it incase anything happens, since it has been my dads for more than 20 years (i think he got it in '85) So i will be mighty carefull.......
My car: 96 Corvette Collectors Edition. Also: 125cc "TaG" racing KART. 0-60: 4 sec 3.0 Lateral Gs.
