Collaborative effort.  Dedmonwakin decided to mess around with Superman, and this is what transpired...

A new colaborative effort.  I did the design, and AG Tuning is doing the tune.

Great gallery Mr Ipkiss. Some truly stupendous work with designs that really flow.

Art, like morality, consists in drawing the line somewhere.

Very cool of you to do that one for him Mike.  Great job on it too.  Oh, don't forget to add the URL things on each side of the link to actually make it a link.  Wink [;)]

    Re: Sassypants' Stuff!

Fair play mate, you're designs are awsome, You must have more contest winners than anyone else! Batman begins is my favourite design of yours and I think Audrey 1 is better than Audrey 2! but that is cuz I like the picture, I agree the painting work is better in the second one.

    Re: Sassypants' Stuff!

Beauty and the Beast III Entry:

Ok, so there's a bit of a story behind this one.  I had originally been slated to do Elizabeth Hurley for the contest, but due to time constraints and lack of a dedicated internet service, I had to withdraw.  Thankfully, Trystan lengthened the deadline for the contest allowing me enough time to at least get something done.  I re-established my internet connection about 2 days prior to the contest entry deadline, and chose my new project.  The actual Beauty and the Beast.

I had originally planned on doing a car like this as a gift for my wife.  She had always been a huge Beauty and the Beast fan, and in September of 2005, was given an amazing opportunity.  There's a huge community theatre located on the West coast of Florida in a city called Venice.  That September, they decided to take on the huge task of putting on the Broadway version of Beauty and the Beast.  The cost of the show rang in at around $50,000, roughly 10 times more than a typical community theater show.  Over 175 girls showed up to try out for Belle, and my wife got the part.

That Christmas, I took her to Disney World for 4 days and 3 nights, and bought her every damned Belle memoribilia that I could.  That resulted in me spending $600 on Disney merchandise, and having our room covered in Belle "stuff".

That's the main reason I chose this project to do.  That, and the fact that this was the third itteration of B&B, and nobody had thought to actually do Beauty and the Beast!!

There will be a second edition coming soon with more detailed embroidery work on the sides.  As it currently sits, the cartoon version of Belle is on the hood (bonnet) of the car, the Broadway logo for the Beast is on the side, with the Broadway lettering done on the roof.  From start to finish, the whole project took just over 9 hours.

    Hope you enjoy.
