Not bad, but some of the cars in these last few packs leave me scratching my head. Ford Pinto? Country Squire wagon? Now it's the Volvo wagon and a 50 yr old Eldorado. I think it's supposed to be some kind of joke but I don't find it very funny.

Or maybe people love the outsiders.

Honestly, I'll put my money on a old sleeper instead of a modern sports car anytime, it's a lot more fun to tune and drive.

By the way, nice to see a very European pack. :)

I like sleepers. I don't like pieces of crap that had a reputation for bursting into flames or 50 yr old land yachts.

Well the Volvo Estate is a sleeper. I won't paste again the wikipedia page, but it's quite capable.

As for the Pinto, any technical issue is irrelevant in a video game, we can then concentrate on the pure handling of the car, which is quite good. Mix that with a vast array of engine mods, and you get, again, quite the fast car. (Currently my fastest D class)

For the Squire though, yes, it need real work. But it's a fun car to drift and race in C class. I suppose the Eldorado will be too, even though it won't be very efficient.

But that's not really the point. (Leaderboards cars are great for people with something to prove, personnally I just drive cars that I like)

I can't take you seriously after using the words "Pinto" and "pure handling" in the same sentence. My family owned a Pinto when I was younger and there was no "handling" to speak of on the rare occasion it wasn't leaving a smoke screen wherever it went. All the goofy drivetrain/engine swaps don't make up for the fact that some of the DLC that has been sold to us is underwhelming. There are many cars, new and old, I would have prefered. If I had known this kind of nonsense was going to be included in the season pass I would not have purchased it.

probably the first pack not that impressed with...seriously what's with the rubbish bloody Volvo wagon

Clearly you have no idea what you're talking about. probably even never seen or heard the car at all.

    5 cylinder = always good

I think it looks awesome, aggressive

There's must be a reason why it's used as a cop car for the motorways.

     1972 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3

I think that this pack has some nice cars. Here are my opinions:

Merc SLS AMG GT3 - Nah, 'bout enuff with the C-Class Touring Car.

The Aston seems pretty nice, if I get the pack, I'll try it out.

XKR-S - Fairly, a dunno, 'cause the only Jag I race is the E-Type.

BMW M5 - Sure, why not? Loving BMWs since I was born.

Maserati - Looking good, hey? The Granturismo MC was a fun car (tried out at a friend's house), and I sometimes use the GranTurismo S, but pretty cars aren't always fast cars.

Mazda RX-7 - Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. A drift gift (I just learned how to drift in the RMR Veloster)! I use this car in the SAVANNA version since GT1! I love it. The star of the pack in my opinion.

Merc 300 SEL - Pretty meh, to be honest, but I'll probably use it for some Autocrosses, since I do autocrosses in an El Camino.

Caddy - 50's Rear-Flap fever! Finally a convertible convertible! I asked for some to be in FH, but it seems T10 is playing nicely to the community, giving us this beautiful classic american car!

EDIT: Forgot the Volvo. But fairly a weird car. I love station wagons, but you are putting this without putting the famous Insignia OPC wagon? Glad we have the Ferrari FF, a station wagon for the rich.

Scion - If you tune it to the max, I think it will be good for Kaido - just a guess, since there are Gymkhana and Hillclimb tCs out there!

Anybody agrees with me, all recent pack limited cars are not as good as hoped? to me, only the Aventador and Huayra where good pack only cars, the rest are a bit ''meh''

Having said that, this is the best DLC, without a doubt! Yes

Can't wait for that old Merc, the M5, and that Jaaaag!

Was your family racing it on a regular basic ? I suppose not. Because, in Forza, in the corners, it behave quite good. Of course, I don't know if that's really realistic, but frankly, I don't care.

That kind of car is exactly why I love Forza rather than Shift or Gran Turismo, the possibility of driving complete sleepers and making sleepers out of simple, everyday cars.

But I understand your frustration, after all I'm still waiting for some old French cars (205, 405, Saxo VTS...), and when I see another boring race car coming, I can't help but feel frustrated too. :)

I wouldn't be surprised if I am one of the few that are glad to have bought the season pass. Almost feels like Turn10 have been catering to my tastes, apart from the race cars they put in almost every other car has been something I want.

After 8 years.. dissapointed, and disturbed.

I am a car Fanatic I have personally modified my own cars and currently own a 240sx with approximately 500 hp.  Which recreated in the game would be an A to S class car depending on the tires.  Would be higher due to the fact that I have much wider rear tires IRL then the 245 allowed on the game.  But I understand this is a limit of the game engine.  In order to fit my tires in my Nissan I had to roll out my fenders significantly and the game does not allow for this. This is 100 percent understandable.  I have at least a Decade worth of experience modifying building cars and engines and driving in track days and events.

As I am a legitimate car enthusiast I Have been with Forza since the beginning I have by my estimates given Turn 10 350.00 dollars of my money, and all with a huge grin of my face, and because of Turn 10 I have given Microsoft at least another 1,200 dollars in buying xbox consoles, xbox live subscriptions, in order to keep playing this awesome game.  This is small change for some hardcore gamers, but let me emphasize I am NOT a gamer, I ceased to be one after my days with the original Half-Life, and counter strike days, small exceptions here and there for Half-Life 2 games from my youth 10-15 years ago.  The last Purchase before Forza 4, MW2, and before that was Forza 3....  I invest at least 120.00 a year just to play this game, and on Release years this figure is over 200.00 easy.   This is a lot of money to spend on one game, but I felt that Turn 10 deserves my patronage.

I was understanding when the Porsche thing came about as that was beyond Turn 10s control. In fact I was extremely appreciative when Turn 10 fought so hard to include it on release day, and even felt that they deserve the extra 20.00 for managing to get it after all.

However what disturbs me is the way car requests are handled, you are not allowed to mention a car that is not included, as that belongs on the car wish list.  Which lets be honest at 517 pages and growing is this big disorganized mess which could very easily be ignored.  Looking at the additions of the last car packs, I feel that this thread resembles the recycle bin on your desktop.  It's almost as if Turn 10 is saying "Oh you have feedback on what cars you would like to see? Put in this thread where it will be ignored but DO NOT DARE POST YOUR SUGGESTION OUTSIDE THE IGNORE I MEAN THE CAR WISHILIST!"

Here is an example, I could not find a single time where the Ford Squire was requested once in that giant mess of a thread, however extremely popular cars like the Boss 302, was mentioned at least once on every single page of that 514 page thread, many times multiple times per page.  ZL1 being a distant but second place request.  But yet weird and quirky cars like the Quadrifoglio or less known cars were added in.  This car is popular for a reason, I am generally speaking an Import guy, although I have great respect for certain domestic machines.  The Boss 302, signifies the return of quality an excitement in Ford it is the perfect example of the amazing company turn around Alan Mullaly  did with Ford since he took over as CEO.  Here is a Mustang that out handles a BMW M3, has a high revving dohc power plant that outperforms several foreign dohc V8 designs of similar displacement.  But instead we get the 2005 Mustang GT which well, even in its time was far from impressive in its performance.  An anemic V8 that made only marginally more power then Japanese V6s at the time.  Handling that left to be desired.  Then we got the 2010 GT500 which of the newest body style GT500s, is by far the worst.

I understand that it is after all just a car, not even one I would buy irl, just one I have respect for from an engineering point of view.  But this car and its 5.0 sibling has been requested since days of Forza 3.  And now April came and went it has not been released, and it looks like it wont be released.  Game is still great without it.  But what dissapoints me is how could the most popular request be outright ignored?  Does anyone that is actually related to the development of the game even view the suggestion thread?  If so how could they?  Its a giant mess of a thread which sole purpose seems to be to make a convenient location for where players input on car selection could be ignored.  But as long as they have loyal suckers like me giving them hundreds of dollars a year to them who cares right?

If Turn 10 cared about our freaking input and they should.  You would not have a car wish list, instead you would make a freaking poll wishlist section with the ability of users to add car suggestions as additional poll entries.  You could program it so that duplicate entries could not be added in, and I realize that instead of one suggestion thread you might have multiple polls divided by manufacturers, some smaller manufacturers sharing one poll as is entries are posted.  Big manufacturers having their own poll thread.  This could be done by instead of having one small thread in the Forza 4 section, you could instead have a sub section dedicated solely to these polls.  As cars from the polls get added in, future car packs it should automatically get deleted giving less popular chances a better chance.  If Turn 10 is THAT greedy that extremely popular cars do not get in for fear of future profit loss, just charge twice the points for that particular car, and do not include it in any car pack.  But this treatment should be limited to no more then 10 cars per year out of fairness to us that blindly shell money your way.

I guess I can live without the car, just completely irks me to see some suggestions ignored outright.  I know someone will claim well there is no room to make anyone happy, and I agree with you, but a lot of space is also wasted with bad choices like the Ford Squire, or obscure one off cars that are not significantly different from its parent car like the Devon where the Viper SRT-10 suffices, or that weird coda troca thing that doesn't exist in real life except in concept form.  Very cool cars but I promise you if we made a poll it wouldn't come out on top, nowhere near it.

If someone says "wishlist dude"  you missed the entire point of this thread.  Its not the cars but how our input is used.

    Does this count?

    http://jalopnik.com/5458683/forzalopnik-the-very-last-poll

In all honestly I don't have any inside information on how acquiring DLC content works, but my instinct tells me that, a car could have one million votes vs one and that car may still not be able to be added to the game for some reasons or another perhaps beyond Turn 10's control. It's also worth noting that the entire player base of this game is not wholly represented by the members of this forum, past, present or future.

We all have cars we want to see, but the game is still (7 years) young, hopefully there's still time for the franchise to add these, so long as it remains prosperous.

Well, turn 10 finally did it! they brought all the bmw m made cars to forza 4 (that m5 was the only one missing). also bring the 300 sel, how daring to bring a german touring car (i'm not total sure, but i believe it was) of that caliber! way better then the country squire from this month, but I'm sad that this is it. i still want a 2012 Camaro ZL1!

And how exactly do you know those were the choices available to choose from? You don't.

It nice to think it's that easy though. People thought getting porsche was easy, yet only two games/developers have had access to them over the last 10 years.

You say it's a good post, I say it's being closed minded.

Re: After 8 years.. dissapointed, and disturbed.

Firstly, I love the obscure cars! The Devon GTX, Spada Condatronca, Bertone Mantide etc. are all good cars. Having cars from the Squire to the Skyline, the 300C to the 300 S and the Touareg to the Twingo is what Forza is all about. Having something for everyone.

The wishlist thread is the best way to keep everything in a single place. If individual threads were allowed there would be loads of them and things would get out of hand.

If there was a poll like you suggest, it would favour cars that have been in the poll longer and there is no saying that Turn 10 will be able to get access to whatever car gets the most votes. People would still complain about no votes for what they want.

You always have a choice. Whether it is to buy the DLC pack or not, renew XBL to play online or work on completing the Events List offline. You can always email Turn 10 at forzafb@microsoft.com if you want to.
