Re: Was the massive thread about xbox freezing deleted?

Well that'll just backfire on them. All I did was come back to see if there was progress on the problem, instead find the forum locked to outsiders and once registering, the thread deleted. Lovely work guys, heck why fix a problem when you can pretend it doesn't exist!

Probably deleted because one of the many just got a little too understandably outraged.

Froze up paying out the money to an enduro race - run without wheels on the Viper ! - last night, then took 9 goes to restart even from the orange loading screen.

    Nice

Lol I think it was deleted because I threatened to sue game stop for false advertising. On there site is says there game are "GARANTEED" to work.

Re: Was the massive thread about xbox freezing deleted?

Whether their game is responsible or not, I'm sure they're trying to nip this in the bud. My 360 bricked after playing Forza 2, so I can neither confirm nor deny that the game itself brought on the overheating in a unique way.

Re: Was the massive thread about xbox freezing deleted?

    @Skate Zilla
I understand that what's going on is initiated by Turn 10, not you.

But this is a pretty dumb move, if you ask me. In the last couple of days, more and more external sites have linked to this thread, thus drawing attention to the specific and current problems. Now, how would it look to you, if you find out the thread has been deleted?

That there would have been a better place for those messages would have justified moving them. That has not happend. Instead usefull information has been deleted. The reason you gave might be a good reason, but it's not the only reason, and therefor unlikely (for me) to be the true reason.

Deleting messages might be justified in many cases, but especially in this case, it looks more like trying to sweep things under the carpet. Should it look like that, Turn 10?

Are you really suggesting that the thread was wiped, just because another thread was open on the same subject!!  If you decided to do that this site would have only a handfull of threads.

Without creating a discussion about that minor point, why didn't you simply merge the 2 threads?  This clearly shows that somewhere someone is a little concerned by the negative feedback.

Re: Was the massive thread about xbox freezing deleted?

I think this thread should be bumped daily so people can see what really is going on

Re: Was the massive thread about xbox freezing deleted?

I think this speaks volumes for how much MS and T10 support the community on this issue.  A massive thread with over 900 posts regrading freezing issues goes public on a number of popular sites and T10 deletes it.  Can't say I have much respect for them now doing something like this.  Perhaps the freezing has nothing to do with FM2 but hiding issues to keep sales up doesn't help your community T10.

Che care to comment on this or will we basically not get any official word on this at all?

It is categorically disrespectful, to everyone that posted in it, to have deleted that thread.

Re: Was the massive thread about xbox freezing deleted?

hahahahahahhahaha nice one. The biggest thread on this website deleted!!!

I wonder why???? Well I guess we will have to post up in this one all over again until this one gets deleted. Fill out a form lmao. So for me again on my third xbox 360. Two of them trashed from Forza 2 one that was three months old and the other one brand new only 3 hours old.

Got another one and works fine with all other games. Bought my xbox's in Canada. Freeza 2 was bought at EB games. No issues with any of the troubleshooting, no heat issues, plugged into wall yada yada. Both xbox's froze and then a big grinding noise came out of them and no rings of death just disc unreadable error on all games after playing Freeza 2. I don't even know why I'm writing this cause it will probably be deleted. Anyways here goes.

Buy the new Freeza 2 red rings of death (disc unreadable game) now out in stores. Will you beat the game or will the game beat you???
