Anyones 360 crashing due to any of the new problems introduced by Auto Update 1 or 2?

4. at first it just froze everyonce in a while when I was looking through my cars and then I got the update and it did it more often. Then it started giving me trouble online (I got the failed to connect a lot, very long load times) and on the auction house it wouldnt always load and when it did it took forever. I have a very good connection no problems on any other games at all. Then it failed to load my career moad even though the file was still on my harddrive.
5. It doesnt need to be repaired the only game that I have problems with is forza

3. System got really laggy like a computer then froze, i tured it back on n 3 rings or light. Then i let it sit over nite turned it on it played for an hour or so then i turned it off and 3 rings is all i see :(

4. No problems with demos really, Forza is my only problem just because its the only game i play alot. I think i may have happend in any big game like this if you give it time.

5. Didnt send it in yet, waiting till i get everthing straight with what to do.

3. I've had Forza for about 2 months and have probably gotten over 20 'disc unreadable' errors while playing. I can hear the dvd drive literally struggling to read the disc while playing and/or at loading screens. Sometimes it recovers and I can keep playing; other times the drive will just stop spinning and I can hear an intermittent clicking sound, resulting in the error.
4. Has not happened a single time with any other game I've played. Haven't played the F2 demo so I dunno about that.
5. Did not send for repair because there is nothing wrong with my console.

3. Played Command and Conquer 3 with a few freezes but nothing major.  Whenever I play Forza 2 the game freezes every 10-15 mins without fail.  Have to restart and try again.

4. Minor freezing problems with other games but nothing out of the ordinary

This sure sucks, I like the game but am really frustrated with the freezing, at least the system hasn't crapped out on me yet!

2. Owned since launch, sent 2 back already and have had my 3rd for 2 days so far.

3. Premium system. Current xbox MFR date is Aug 9 2007.

4. My second system ran great (although a little noisey) until I started playing forza 2 on it. Played for about 3 or 4 weeks with it freezing up a couple times when I tried to pull up my freinds list. Eventually displayed 3 rings of death and had to send it in. 3 weeks later (2 days ago) I got xbox # 3 with a letter saying they replaced my old with a brand new one. Put forza 2 in and it ran for about a half hour and then froze. Put NBA 2K7 in and it froze twice. Put forza 2 back in and it freezes at least every 10 - 15 minutes!

Also has glitchy, pixelated icons in the buy parts menus and on test runs the road gets very glitchy.

5. Have only tried NBA 2K7 on current system and it frezes as well (although not nearly as often)

6. Have not contacted MS on the current xbox yet as I do not have an hour to sit on the phone talking to some automated robot guy that is trying to troubleshoot the system for something completely different than I am dealing with, and then transferring me to a real person and leaving me on hold for another 30 min!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please M$ get it together!!! I don't know if it is forza 2 doing this or not but I do know that I would not have waited in line all day and night just to get this piece of junk system if I would have known that I would spend most of my time talking to tech support or tracking packages with UPS!!! This is total BS!!!! I cannot begin to let you know how frustrating this is especially since my latest system you sent is only a couple weeks old and you guys have changed nothing to fix this as of then!!!!!!! And keep your D*** 30 day xbox live cards that you think is making us feel all warm inside even though we got screwed!

5. Sent in for repairs 3 times. All under warrantee. Same problem, visual anomolies. Microsoft says its a problem with the game but they will not replace Forza 2 because there is no problem with game. Catch 22

3. I played about 1week before the crash (got driver level 30) I was tunning a car when the game just froze. I turned off the console. When I turned it back on, showed me the 3 red lights, sorry I can't remember the track.
4. No. Never had problems when playing any other games before Forza 2, including Gears of War, Ghost Recon 1&2. I play about 5-6 hours monday-friday without problems.
5. Called tech support because the console is under warranty (good luck)

2.b. 2006-04-08 (it's on the back of the console as MFR date). It was a unit exchange so it was a Core, because I already had the HD.
3. Was playing ok, suddenly the console make a fan noise (Pride of Italy -  Sunset Peninsula Infield lap 7) and then the game froze again. Turn it off and when turned it back on, showed me the E79 screen and 1 red light. Turn it off and on again without the HD (as I was told by the tech support guy) and changed the E79 screen for 3 red lights, another unit exchange.
4. No. Same as above.
5. Yes, still under under warranty. Note: this was the console that was sent to replace the first one.

-----Update------

Just spent another hour on the phone with MS, and after trying to get me to troubleshoot the system and then call them back in the morning, they told me they need to get it in for repairs. I asked if there was anything they could do for me (hoping for a refund) since this is the 3rd system I have sent in,  not to mention this one froze up on me right out of the shipping box. The operator got defensive and told me rudely to just be patient and they will repair it.

Thanks alot MS, i guess it will be another 3-4 weeks huh. I hope people are still playing this game when MS finally gets me one that works!!!

3. I've been having lots of freezing problems lately, and I would say 50% of the time when I go into the career menu, the 3 back panels that show video are usually just colored stripes. The strangest thing happened today, when my car had gray spots all over it. When I went into a race, all of the shadows were replaced with cross-patterns of dark lines. When I finished a race, my 360 froze (like it does about 5-10% of the time). When I turned it on, however, I got the 1 red light in the lower right and the E74 error. It's had enough time to cool down now, and I still get the error.

4. Yes. It's frozen at least once on just about every game I have, except Halo 2. It's frozen on Forza 2 more times than anything else, though.

5. No, not yet. I have a 2-year warranty with Best Buy, so I hope they can at least do something, but I doubt it considering many people have had poor experiences with Best Buy.

3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze. I was leaving the multiplayer menu from the auction house back to the main screen and the it froze,turned it off tried to restart then three rings of DEATH.
4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza? No
5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay? Eb Games extended warranty so it should be a straight swap.Doing it later today.

2a- got a new one through product replacement plan.(think forza2 was final nail in coffin in old 360.) but it had problems before. 

2b- new one 4/20/07 premium

3- freezes atleast twice everytime i play forza2.  in garage, tuning, online, inbetween races, etc.

4- didnt play demo.  sometimes viva pinata(girlfriend) nothing else at all.

5- PRP through best buy.

2b- Like an idiot I bought a brand new one cause I could not wait, new MFR. 6/15/06

3- Ran fine for 1st day I had it. Played Rainbow six vegas without it freezing once. Had atleast 12 hours on it the 1st day. Second day I put forza 2 in and it freezes up about 1 hour into it in the garage.

4- Haven't tried playing rainbow again to see if it will freeze, but it freezes on forza just like my 3rd system does.

5- Have not contacted MS about this new system yet. Should be under warranty though.

p.s. I hope somebody that can do something (anything) is reading this thread. This is getting out of hand!!

I might be getting a replacement but if the next system fails I'm demanding my money back there is no point supporting a company that makes a faulty product and can't fix it...I understand that the design of the system is the problem but still M$ should have took some time and really tested these things.

2b   first console was a premium on australian launch day,traded in on new premium two weeks ago

3   original console had no problems until forza 2 then started continuous freezing in garage ,lobbies,auction house 3 red lights died,,,,,2 week old console continuous freezing ,missing cars ,money, livery editor has a bug cant access paint saves in my gallery

4   no iv had  flawless gaming until forza 2

5   traded my old console in on a new one i have receipts for both of them
