3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze. ------------Textures on Suzuka dissappeared occasionally. Then it just starts freezing.  It works approx 3 min then freezes.
4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza? ------------------No problems with other games.
5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay?----------- I havent sent it in yet havent had time. It broke on wednesday.
Well I've owned a 360 since November and will be Either with a microsoft repaired console#2 or I'll get a new 360 and be on #3. This is ridiculous my first 360 lasted 6 months this one lasted 2.5 months.

3.  running a 8 lap race, then froze, restarted  with error code, restarted again 3 red lights and blank screen.  Absolutely no problems till then.

3. Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze. First showed up with forza freezing as i exited a multiplayer game, steadily got worse then carried over to other game. Now wont go past 360 dashboard or logos without freezing and carried over to other games.
4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza? Never played the demo, but it did carry over to other games.
5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay? Talked to the support only today, getting in contact with UPS on monday (us UK residents have to do it ourselves it seems) to arrange a pickup so it can be repaired, is still under warrenty so it's free.

Edit: I don't think this is Forza 2s fault, my system is 8 months old (or more) and was played hard and with the problems we know the system has it was bound to happen. I'll keep repairing this one until the 65nm "Falcon"s are released at the end of this year, beginning of next and upgrade to one of those. In the 2 years they've had to work on it i'd say they've squeezed out the heat problems by now.

3) Xbox freezes or randomly claims disc is unreadable after playing for 30+ minutes. Only happens when I'm playing Forza2. No other bugs.
4)The console did not have any issues when I played the Forza2 demo, ONLY with retail game.
5)Haven't sent it in for repair yet.

Previously I thought it could be a head related issue, therefore I have a small box fax blowing on both the console and the large power converter box thing.

After about 5 mins play on the game it either freezes or says "error reading disc try cleaning or restart" and it says tht on save screen after a race -.- so most of the time deletes my save file. ive never had a problem with any other games, i have not yet received the "red ring of death" but im guessin its on its way

4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza? Never had problems with any other games...but thinking about it the forza demo allways use to day "disc is unreadable" which got me when it isnt reading for a disc -.-

Did you have to pay? i rang xbox and they said tht they would fix it for free and i have to send it off this week, but 1 month wait time... tht clearly shows their having loads of problems with the game as i no ppl who have had theirs back within 2 weeks of sending it away

im really annoyed waited for ages to play the game and it broke my xbox

Mine didn't die from Foza 2. It died 2 days before.

Playing Forza 2.  Screen turned all bluish and blurry.  Dropped out of the game and turned the system off.  When I tried to start it back up I recieved E74 and 1 red light in the lower right.

4. Has your 360 had issues with Forza demo, or problems on other games besides Forza?

No issues on any other game.  Forza 2 had gone all white and blurry a couple of times before but rebooting the console fixed it.

5. Have you sent it in for repair? Did you have to pay?

Have not sent it in yet.  MS wants $139 plus shipping to fix it because it is over a year old.

      I can play the game for 10-20 minutes on initial boot up.  The game will kick me out in one of 2 scenarios
-Right after a race as it's saving it will boot me out of the game and give me a disc read error "Please clean your disc"
-During a race it will just freeze
So at this point the 360 has only been on anywhere from 10-20 minutes so when I try to reload the game or reboot I get the "disc read error" right after the Top 10 logo shows up

      YES, the damn demo gives me a disc read error and it's on my HARD DRIVE.  Every other game I own works fine including GoW which I heard has had similar problems.

   Nope.

NOTE: I've tried 4 copies of Forza 2

So now I have a game thats a day old and I can't return it because no store accepts returns on open software.

Or I send my 360 for repairs and I'm told that WE THE CONSUMER have to pay shipping.

As you can tell I am really upset.  What Microsoft and their $3 per share dividend can't afford to pay for my damn shipping?

3. Crashes on car select screen repeatedly during one - two hour online session. Voice chat regularly lost from other gamers (although they can still hear me..and start off with everyone - so its not my router!). Track loading taking longer and longer, missing some textures in tracks particularly Mazda circuit. Often disc grinding to a halt in 360 when trying to load track. Also disc appears to have been scratched by my dvd drive - i have no pets or kids, 360- lays flat and i am always careful with my discs, the scratch marks are too uniform to be acciedents!

4. One other game caused problems "Shadowrun", but got new disc and seemed to fix.

5. No rings of doom yet but surely not far away!

woooo iv jus realised this is what happened with my m8s 360, i gave him my first copy of forza, i got it on release but it was crashing on my xbox, i got the game repaired twice, it helped a little but i decided to get a new copy and give the old 1 to my mate and not long after i gave it to him his xbox messed up, he didnt get the red ring but every game he tried to play after it crashed. and because hes a hothead he decided to smash his xbox to pieces instead of gettin it repaired. lol. now hes left with an xbox live subscription and games that he cant use

I am pretty convinced that Forza 2 has a software bug that ruins the 360's firmware or something.

Short summary or paragraph of problems just before your 360 got 3 red lights or froze.  Would Be Loading Up On Xbox Live In A Room, When You Hear The Game Stop Spinning...Gets Quiet...Then It Freezes...Total Happened: id say AT LEAST 25 Times since i got game DAY IT CAME OUT....It Froze Up a Total Of 7 Times In 3 Hours Yesterday

This is all pure hearsay...

How can a game break a console? If anything is at fault then you must blame the console/cooling system itself.

To be frank im surprised at turn 10 allowing this thread to exist on these forums. I say again that A GAME CAN'T Break a console. Just because You're 360 has broken whislt playing forza then you just can't isolate the game.

I have had 3 360's break on me and each time i've been playing something different.... Its microsofts inadequate cooling that is causing a problem, nothing else.

And before you ask, no I don't work for turn 10!

I never had any problems with my 360 whatsoever.  After playing Forza for about a month, the system now will suddenly make a clicking sound, and then the screen will become distorted with artifacts all over the place and then the system freezes.

Never had any problems with any other games before Forza.

Not yet.  I have not been able to make it through to an support agent whenever I call the support line, but I'm planning to send it in.
